Reaction to mosquito bites - VERY unexpected

Well it is 5am and I have been trying to sleep since 11pm!

It is pollen allergy season AND mosquito season here in Louisiana USA. My allergies (and peri-menopause symptoms) seem to be doing much better after having started the homeopathic path 6 months ago BUT my reaction to mosquito bites is dramatically worse! 5 days ago I reacted to something that I thought was a "sting" on my forehead between my eyes. It began feeling numb and the numbness began progressing down my nose. I put ice on it and then a paste of snuff (tobacco) and water to try to draw out the "poison". After that I put a locally made antiseptic on it (water, oil of peppermint and arnica). I was okay to go to bed 6 hours later, and slept no worse than current "symptoms".

9 hours ago (before writing this) I was "bitten" by a mosquito 3 times. Twice on the top of my left foot and once on the left shin. The bites on the foot and the one on the shin swelled to about 8-10cm across and were hot and red. I put ice on themÂ…they pretty much remained hot with very little recession of swelling even with the ice. The symptoms became tolerable enough to go to bed, but have returned in the foot to keep me awake all night. My breathing was labored just enough to keep also keep me awake with the need to sit up in bed to get a good breath. I have no clue if this breathing problem is from the mosquito bite or from annual allergies. I put ice on the foot and now have on an old sock with snuff/tobacco against the affected area.

My life-long reaction to mosquitoes has been (until right now): mosquitoes will find and bite me before and instead of anyone else, the bites would swell up to about 1-2cm then with a bit of antiseptic spray would recede to about 5-10mm and itch very little with very little heat.

Current homeopathic remedies:

I have been on a decreasing dose protocol for LACHESIS symptoms (pre/peri-menopause) through the guidance of a forum poster. I am now down to 30C about 1-2 times a day until symptoms are relieved or dissipate. This path IS working!!!

I have also been guided to take, as a tonic, NATRIUM SULPH 6X to assist with my minimal allopathic diuretic and potassium for high blood pressure, and CALC.FLUOR, 6X.

Most of the LACHESIS symptoms dissipated for several days but sleeping into sinus pain and mucous remained. For sleep, direction has been made for MAG PHOS 6X AND KALI PHOS 6X. Since the local pollen season started shortly after this suggestion was made I may have to wait it out for any real effectiveness of said sleep remedies.

LACHESIS symptoms returned so I am back to 30C until relieved.

A menagerie of trees and shrubs will continue to pollinate through mid May causing my allergic reactions. The pollen allergy symptoms are bad enough now for me to have taken a couple of SILICEA 30C doses for a sinus infection (symptoms are now relieved). The rest of the pollen allergy symptoms continue to the point of now needing to take a combination remedy. This remedy is made up of: Echinacea angustifolia 4X, 12X, 20X, 30X, Ignatia amara 6X, Lycopodium clavatum 6X, Sulphur 6X, 12X, 20X, 30X, Thuja occidentalis 6X, Ledum palustre 8X, Phosphorus 8X, Antimonium Crudum 12X, Histaminum 12X andSelenium 12X

My questions are:

What could be causing the change in my reaction to mosquito bites? Could it be one of the current remedies or a combination thereof?

I am VERY worried about how I might react to a bee or wasp sting since my reaction to mosquitoes has increased in this manner. What can I do here?

What remedy (dosage and frequency) can I take to relieve the mosquito bite symptoms?

What remedy (dosage and frequency) can I take to immediately relieve bee and or wasp sting symptoms?

I am looking forward to replies from as many folks as possible!
Thanks!
Frances

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Unfortunatly I too also react very badly to Mosquito bites and so I try to avoid places that have them, such as near stagnant water, but sometimes you just cannot avoid them!

Although I use Homoeopathy fro nealy everything, sometimes I find you have to use other things that work better. In the U.S I buy "OFF" Skintastic repellant and use that daily in the Mosquito season. If I get bitten I use Isopropyl Alcohol with some sort of aromatherapy oil in it, Lemon, Basil, and Lavender are all good as they help to kill the pain.

Homoeopathically, Malaria Officionalis maybe might stop them biting, I havent experimented with it yet, and the classic remedy for bee sting is Apis Mel. Any Remedies for bites or stings are best taken at 200c or more, as you want a fast reaction.

combination remedies are called homeopathic, because they consist of homeopathic ingrediences, but they are far away from a real classic homeopathic treatment.

i wouldn't call them homeopathic at all, but some people think it's good.
well - that's not up for discussion here, is it?

reading your symptoms caused by a moscito bite, immediately made me think of apis. well it's not a bee sting, but it kind of reacts like one. right?

oh.. and in case a beesting or wasp sting reacts very bad, and apis does't help, and apis c100 might not help either, vespa crabo could be IT. (especially on wasp stings)

i don't think one more remedy will disturn your therapie at all, that's because i don't think, your therapie will be sucessfull. it's based on a few symptoms of a special part of the body ( that shows me the compound yo're taking) it doesn't treat you as a person it looks like.
you might as well use apis if you are getting a bad reaction on a sting again. take it pretty low, like let's say D12 or C6. use it only if you have a sting that reacts bad. as an acute remedy, so to speak.

and please get yourself a good homeopath that treats you yourself in a whole person , and not your heyfever symptoms only.
