The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Chronic Asthma for over 21years now Page 4 of 15

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
David is just worried for patients safety and health.

...I wish good luck for curing alhambra's asthma.

So am I indeed. It would appear from your statement that only David is concerned but you may like to know that I too am very concerned of the patient's wellbeing since I first joined the ABC in 2003 at which time it was the first Homeopathic Forum.

Check back on the previous posts I have made on this forum and other forums for proof of my statement.

I did not intend to imply you are not concerned with the patients wellbeing. My previous statement must have been badly constructed then, which I apologise for.

I am sorry, I am not careful when chosing words it seems, it happens often with me.

Thank you for apologizing.

I was concerned when I felt that it was only I that was NOT sensitive enough to patient's well being. As you have realized this is not the case by a long chalk.

We all wish Alhambra well and I and others will await David's classical therapy which according to him is the only therapy that can CURE the patient.

An update into my condition(Nikkie as per your request) is that I'm currently taking my daily and regular intake of medication that includes the Ventolin inhaler,Seretide disk and Avamys Nasal spray.

Upon my visit for urgent medical attention,I was given the Nebuliser and my seretide disk dosage has been increased temporarily for three days.

I will tomorrow revert back to taking the seretide disk 1 puff twice daily.

In regards to my health I feel very tired and weak like I have no strength in my body.
My lungs are full of Catarrh/phlegm.My nose is either blocked or partially blocked.I cant walk very far without getting out of breath and I feel very thirsty at times. This is how i feel everyday whether I have visited the doctor for urgent medical attention or not.

Joe I have never doubted and I have no reason not to believe that you have treated and cured Patients with Chronic diseases.

BrisbaneHomeopath you have offered to help me.Which I am very grateful for.
Can you please advice me what you would like I do?

Nikkie your very welcome.

I honestly cant find words to describe how helpful and caring that you are.

You have been very supportive and ever so determined to help me.

A very kind hearted person indeed.

Your history with this Chronic illness and cure has been one of the reasons that has kept me hanging in here as there have been times I thought I just want to throw in the towel.

I am waiting to hear from brisbanehomeopth but until then I will try the ginger tea with honey and lemon.

I promise I will keep you updated and who knows maybe one day I can help others too.

May God fulfill your wishes and remove every burden from you.

I am sorry I have been having trouble getting into the forum to do anything here. My personal computer mysteriously stopped working, and at the same time our network at the clinic will no longer allow me to log into the ABC forums. This has severely restricted my ability to look over cases as I was mostly doing this in-between clients. I will do my best to work within those restrictions to keep up with cases here.

Sure I understand, please feel free to contact me when you are ready to start my treatment.

I look forward to hear from you.

Many Thanks

Ok our network people have managed to fix the problem on my end. I can now log into this forum.

First thing we need to do is take a full case, as much as that is possible here.

I have a standard intake form you can fill out.

GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION

It is important to describe all your problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.

Please do not answer each of the following questions by placing all your problems in each one. Each of these questions needs to be answered for each problem eg. For you headaches answer 1-7, then for your reflux answer 1-7 and so on.

1. What exactly happens?
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occurring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?

Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU GIVE A COMPLETE PICTURE OF YOUR HEALTH BY PROVIDING ALL PROBLEMS YOU HAVE, EVEN IF NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN ONE, AND EVEN IF YOU CONSIDER IT OF LESS IMPORTANCE. You should address each problem separately using the above 7 questions as a guide.

As well as this, please describe any traumatic incidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.

Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.

Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior especially concerning your disease.

Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow, especially where this occurred around the beginning of your disease, or as the disease evolved.

Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases. Your parents may need to help you answer these questions.

If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:

1. The specific foods that you crave (not just like) or hate
2. The specific drinks that you crave or hate
3. What your sleep is like
4. How the weather and the temperature affects you
5. What kinds of things in the environment you are particularly sensitive to
6. What your general level of energy is like
7. What your level of sexual energy or desire is like
8. Describe your menstrual cycle

I will probably have more questions for you after that.

I also need to know what homoeopathic remedies you have taken in the past, and what the results were.

Dear Brisbanehomeopth,
Thank you for your quick response. I am very grateful for this

My apology for the delayed response this was due to a fault in the local area for broadband.

I will attempt to complete your questions to the best of my ability, however if anything is unclear in my response then please feel free to ask me to elaborate further on any particular.

I suffer from a chronic Asthma condition and an acute nasal condition, so I will begin with the acute nasal condition first.

1).When I wake up in the morning the first thing that happens to me is that I start to sneeze immediately.

2). I sneeze between 8-12 times unintermittedly everyday, my eyes can go red due to the pressure of sneezing, and eyes can get watery during the sneezing. My nose then begins to become runny or my nose is blocked for the rest of the day like when a patient is suffering from a very bad cold/Flu. When I am sneezing my chest begins to feel tight resulting in me requiring the Ventolin inhaler. I always feel a lot of catarrh/phlegm/mucus passing through my throat from my nose/nasal area into chest/lungs. . Blowing my nose, spitting or expectoration results in a very thick, sticky and watery discharge. I would like to also bring to your attention that the unintermittent sneezing also happens at different times in the day. However the first time in the morning happens immediately after I wake up. Over the day I can sometimes sneeze up to 30 times over 3 occasions.

3). There isn’t anything I can say makes it worse, it’s something that happens every day regardless of the weather here in the UK.

4).I know I could be side tracking from your question however when I’m in a hot climate country (e.g. middle east region) I never have this problem at all, the acute nasal condition disappears without me even taking any medicine at all. I never suffer from sneezing at any time of the day or night and more importantly I don’t catch a cold like I do here in the UK. I tend to have a cold all year in the UK and this adds further misery to my very chronic asthma condition

5) The only thing I can put my finger on for this problem to occur is the weather and climate here in the UK.

6) It happens first thing in the morning when I wake up and then again during the day and evening but not at any fixed time other than when i wake up.

7) The problem started when I was 11yrs old. I had just had a hot/warm shower and went out to play. My mother tells me I didn’t let her dry my hair and I went out to play in the cold autumn weather with it raining outside. T hats when we can remember that I started suffering from this condition.

My daily dose for this condition is the avamys spray.
Now about my Chronic Asthmatic Condition,

1) I suffer from chronic Asthma for over 21yrs now. I have a lot of catarrh/mucus/phlegm in my chest and lungs. I feel like my lungs are full of thick catarrh. I feel my body over produces catarrh and I am unable to clear my lungs from this.

2) My symptoms’ are Wheezing ,Difficulty in breathing ,Tight Chest ,Feel pain in by upper back due to difficulty in breathing occasionally, Shortness of Breath and coughing I wake up with wheezing during the night and early morning ,unable to walk very far due to my condition. My regular and daily intake of medication is seretide 500mg disk 1 puff twice a day, ventolin inhaler as and when required.

3) Like all asthmatics a Cold/flu can affect the asthma condition a lot. This requires usage of the ventolin and an increase in the usage of the seretide disk and possibly prednisolone steroids tablets course.

4) Drinking hot fluids can help. If I able to cough up the mucus from chest and lungs, this gives me a lot of relief. On few occasions I have been able to cough the mucus that is in my chest/lungs this has helped me a lot. It’s like there is so much of it inside me.

5 Vegetable oil,milk,yogurt,bananas,cold/icy water, and ice cream have known to aggravate my condition so I avoid them because I live in the UK but strangely when I tried the above in a hot ,dry climate(e.g. middle east region)they don’t affect me like they do when I’m in the UK. Cold weather, damp weather conditions and winter doesn't help me at all and makes my chest feel tight and causes wheezing.

6) The problem occurs at day and night. However most asthma attacks begin during in the middle of the night.

7) The problem began when I was 11yrs old. As stated previously I went out after having a hot/warm shower into cold autumn weather whilst it was raining. Without drying my wet hair. I ended getting a very bad cold and this developed into wheezy chest and breathing problems began and it resulted me visiting my doctor who then prescribed me my first ventolin inhaler.

I would say that when I was in my teens I would get up during the night and go and wake my parents up as I was suffering from an asthma attack. This continued for many years and but on one occasion I thought I was going to die as I couldn’t breathe at all. I only just made it to my parent’s room and collapsed. I thought I was never going to survive the night.

I can get stressed out easily and I would say I’m a deep thinker. I spend too many hrs thinking and worrying. I know my worrying and thinking won’t change anything but it’s a habit I can’t get out of.

I suppose I can get angry quite easily, this happens due to the lack of good sleep or because of my acute nasal and chronic asthma conditions affect me a lot.

Well unfortunately I’ve always wanted to go to the gym and work out. Most of friends go and sometimes they find it hard to understand why I can’t go and do what they do.

My condition has been holding me back even going back to school days when I attempted to join in with the school in a marathon run but I ended up suffering from an asthma attack.

I really do wish I could exercise. The only time when I have been able to exercise is once again whilst I have visited a hot, dry climate region.

My childhood was that I always wanted to join with the boys playing football or cricket but was unable to really take part in any activities due to my asthma.

The environment I grew up in had its pressure as I am the eldest out of 6 children so that can have its pressure. My family have been understanding and supportive and but there are time when are lying in bed sick most days whilst the world passes you and your alone and eventually its normal for you to be sick like its old news.

1) The food that I crave is dairy products .e.g. yoghurt and milk there isn’t anything that I hate.

2) I would like to drink smoothies or cold fresh juice and milkshakes don’t hate any drinks.im not a fan of tea but I do like coffee.

3)Sleep can be poor due to getting up to use the inhaler so I find it hard to get a full 7hrs sleep without having to get up on a few occasions, this results in me feeling very tired and exhausted.

4) The weather here in the UK really affects me. Makes me feel unhappy seeing the grey skies with h no sunshine .I love the blue sky and sunshine and most importantly the hot and dry climate makes me feel much more happier and fresh.

5) Please see above

6) My general energy level is low, feel tired and lethargic.

7) My sexual energy isn’t high.

8) N/a

I have taken in the past the homeopathic brand Dr.Reckeweg along with homeopathic remedies in the form of pills that include Ars Album, pulsatilla and many others but I can’t remember which ones now.

However the ones I do remember are the Dr.Reckeweg brands

The R76 for asthma was helpful but I required at least 6-8 bottles of this before any mucus would begin to be coughed up.

R49 for my nasal condition was also helpful but as soon I would stop it after a few weeks I would to suffer the nasal condition again.

R43 and R48 were taken along with R76.

I also took Bio-combination salts, I think it was BC2.BC5, BC6 to help me but once again after I would stop them I would to begin the problems again.

Pulsatilla compositum spray would cause more irritation to my nose.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to read through my response. I really hope the information that I have provided helps you in helping me find a cure for this illness.

I really appreciate all your time and effort.

Many thanks once again

Rgds

something I want to ask straight away though, is what was the experience of being the eldest.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Also can you give me the exact feeling of the asthma?

Describe 'tight'.

Describe the difficulty. Imagine I have never had trouble breathing in my life.

Describe the cough.

Describe the pain in the back.

What is the mucous like, colour, texture, smell anything about it? (What you cough up)

Try to really describe the sensation of your lungs, your chest, your respiratory system, your problems - not just the facts. The facts are not going to tell me what your own personal experience of asthma is like.

What is the experience of being held back?

What has asthma done to your life, to you?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
The experience of being the eldest, you are expected to be a model to your younger siblings and it is not an easy task, especially if your sick with chronic Asthma most of your life. Also when you have another 5 siblings after you you kind are expected to help the parents out with them in the sense preparing milk or looking after them at times.I also felt the pressure or maybe placed the pressure on myself at times growing up that I wanna help my parents by helping them in way so that they dont could retire early.

Alhambra last decade
The exact feeling of asthma that I cant breath,I am having to really push myself hard to to be able to breath.I'm worried that I could die and my experience as a child when i collapsed trying to get to my parents room as never left me.
I can suffer from anxiety.I feel like my chest is blown out due me trying my best to breath or excessively trying to take deep breathes. The wheezing in my chest can be loud and for very long periods.

Tight as its difficult to get any air in to my lungs My nose is either blocked or runny so im breathing through my mouth 90percent of the time which once gain probably places a bigger burden on my lungs.I also feel like lungs are weak and like im gasping for air most times.

The best way i can describe the trouble breathing is like my lungs are all blocked being squeezed or chocked.I feel like there a lot of weight on my chest. My lungs feel heavy like I could not be using them to there capacity because they are full or blocked because of thick mucus.Sometimes i can get sharp pains in the centre of my chest.

The cough is very deep and loud. Its like when I cough its shaking up all my body. Its like I need the cough to remove the mucus from system.

The pain in the back is usually in the upper back and is like muscle spams and pins are being poked in my back.however if I have had an asthma attack then it can expand just below the upper back and i can feel like my lungs cant take it anymore the pressure of me using them excessively.

Well the mucus is very thick and when I have been fortunate to cough it up its mostly very dark green and thick.

The experience of being held back its affects my employment through out my life. Most times employers just dont want a person who suffers from chronic asthma, they lose patience.I can understand as no employer wants to employ a person who condition is so poor.

Asthma has made my life very very difficult.I want to exercise, remain healthy and fit.I'm 33yrs old but days i feel like im older due to how I feel.I'm not sure but memory loss has started to creep into my life in the last 2/3years too.that could due to the prednisolone steroids that Ive had from time to time.

What do you mean when you say your chest is 'blown out'?

What exactly was the pressure you placed on yourself growing up?

What was the experience of being a model to your siblings?

Just describe more on these sensations:

Blocked
Squeezed
Choked
Heavy
Full

In describing them, give me images or pictures or examples, and words that mean similar things. I want to understand the sensation, almost as if I had it myself.

So the effect of asthma is to make you older, is that correct? Is that the only effect on your life? Has it altered your life in any other way?
