The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Chronic Asthma for over 21years now

I am 33years old and have been suffering form chronic
asthma for over 21 years now
I have searched and tried many types of treatment.
The types of medicines that I have tried are as follows:

Herbal(Chinese and sub Continent herbalists)

Homeopathic (Dr.Reckeweg brand)

Allopathic (Currently using Ventolin Inhaler,Seretide 500mg inhaler,Avamys nasal spray)

I would also like to mention that i can and have used prednisolone steroids courses up to 6 times a year and need anti-biotics every so often too.

My chest is full of mucus and this gives problems day and night.
I use my inhaler sometimes up to 12 times a day when it is bad.
I suffer from severe wheezing and difficulty in breathing
My lungs are full of mucus when some of this mucus clears sometimes it makes my life alot easier for a short period of time.

I sneeze alot and either my nose is blocked or running all the time.
I tend to have a cold all year round and this adds futher misery to my very chronic asthma condition.

I would be grateful if anyone could advise me on what medicine i could take so that it can help me.

Many thanks

One dose means

Hi Kadwa

As per your instructions I followed what you asked me to take and though the period of 15days hasn't ended for me to report back to you,However I would like to bring to your attention that my sneezing which happens daily.(I sneeze about 20-30times during the day)is affecting my asthma so much that I have had to visit my GP and I have been prescribed a course of prednisolone steroids.(as per my first post, this isn't the first time)
Furthermore I would like to advise you that this is normal as this happens quite often that my eyes are very watery after sneezing,my nose is either blocked or one of the nostrils is blocked,I can feel phlegm passing through the throat as if its related to my nasal problem and therefore creating congestion in my chest making my asthma worse.
Please be advised that above conditon of suffering from a cold/sneezing/blocked nose/watery discharge is what I suffer daily with my asthma.
Therefore I am not attempting to accuse the your prescribed dose of Calcarea Carb to be reason of my present condition.

My case is quite complex as I suffer from the above condition all year round with my chronic asthma condition.

Please feel free to ask me any questions that could help you or others to deal with my condition.

Many thanks for those who have a moment to read or even give some thought to my condition.

watery eyes during sneezing
Eyes can become red for a short period time post sneezing
I feel that this catarrh is congesting my chest or lungs
Regular cold

My chronic Asthma condition is as follows:

Wheezing
Difficulty in breathing
Tight Chest
Feel pain in by upper back due to difficulty in breathing
My Chest and Lungs are congested with Catarrh

I have had this condition since the age of 11years old.I remember as a 11yr old child I had a very bad cold which in return affected my breathing.I was taken to the GP and prescribed my first Ventolin inhaler, since then my condition as gradually got worse.

Vegetable oil,milk,yogurt,bananas,cold/icy water, ice cream have known to aggravate my condition but Ive not had the above for years and I still suffer from asthma so it hard to say exactly what it is that exactly aggravates my condition.

Cold weather, damp weather conditions and winter doesn't help me at all and makes my chest feel tight and causes wheezing.

Having a hot drink can help me breath better and when I have visit a subtropical country/region where the summers and hot and winters are warm mild my nasal problem basically dissapears and my asthma doesn't aggravate that often if at all on some occasions.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

Yes I think one aspect of my suffering could be related to the climate or the place that I reside in.Its only a thought or what I have experienced. Please see section 7 too.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
Dont feel anything.

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?

Sometimes not always

Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?

Yes the smell of fresh paint makes me sneeze and gives me a tight chest and difficulty in breathing

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?

I do talk to myself form time to time or that's what Ive been told.

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?

20.How do you think you are different from others, if at all?

I think I am different in the sense that I cant do any physical activities like sport and I have put on weight around my waistline and I cant do the physical activities that I feel I should do to lose this weight because of my asthma and nasal condition.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?

The types of medicines that I have tried are as follows:

Homeopathic (Dr.Reckeweg brand) When Ive had a good few bottles R76 over a period of a few weeks I can start to feel the congestion of catarrh breaking away as R76 cooks the catarrh in my chest so when I cough i can feel the catarrh breaking up, its easier for me to breath after I have coughed up catarrh. The color is always dark green/yellowish once Ive consumed a good few bottles of R76.I would like to mention its not very easy though.

Allopathic (Currently using Ventolin Inhaler,Seretide 500mg inhaler,Avamys nasal spray)

I have read your appeal for help for your Asthma and noticed that none of the classical homeopaths have come forward to help you.

I do not know if I can help you but there is a faint possibility that my Joepathy can help you.

The therapy I prescribe for Asthma is as follows:

Blatta Orientalis 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily. (See below for instructions) It is best to take the first dose first thing in the morning and the last thing before bed.
Ars Alb 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily leaving a space of about an hour between remedies.

Steam is also important and you can get some steaming device that is used in beauty saloons for facial treatment. You will most likely cough up a lot of phlegm immediately after steaming. Physiotherapy is also indicated in your case as you seem to have an excess in your lungs.

You will lay flat across your bed with your chest slightly elevated above your head which is hanging down over the side. You will get someone to tap your chest on the back from the waist up to your neck and you should find that your phlegm will drool out in cupfuls.

Exercise is essential for you and you will drink at least 3 liters of water daily. You can also blow into a baloon to help strengthen your lungs.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done at least 6 times before sipping a capful of the bottle as prescribed.

Order Ars Alb 200 in the dry pellets and keep in handy to be used if you get a full blown attack when you would normally have to be nebulized. Take 4 pellets sublingually when the attack should normally cease in about 20 minutes. If it does not do so in an hour take another dose under the tongue.

Report your response weekly

Dear Joe,

My apologies for the delayed response to your post, unfortunately Ive been hit so many days of blocked nose, watery eyes, constant sneezing therefore causing my asthma to worsen.

I have only just read your post and would like to thank you for coming forward to my plea for help as none of the other classic homeopaths heard my plea.(Thanks Kadwa for post and advice too)

Its quite possible my case is too complex for the other classic homeopaths as you can gather from my previous posts and therefore they have refrained themselves by not getting involved in my case never the less i thank anyone who has taken the time to read my posts and for their thoughts for me.

May God reward you for your offer of help with my case and the other cases that you offer to help patients with.

A man is judged by his intention and your intention is to help me.As per your post you haven't promised that my illness will go only that you will help me and for me that is more than I could ask for.

I will order what you have advised me to take first thing in the morning,I should receive the medication in a few days via post.Once the medicine is here I will do as you have advised me.

Once again many thanks for your help.

May God give you good health and happiness.Ameen.

I was wondering if you had read my post and now know that the reason for your not reporting your progress for the last 10 days was due to your Asthma and other problems preventing you from doing so.

I am confident that you will respond as my other patients have done and you may like to know that I have treated a 7 year old girl who was suffering from chronic Asthma and was taking over 8 shots from 2 varieties of Inhalers daily. She was also nebulized weekly as a routine and was absent from school for over 20 days in the month.

You may like to know that I prescribed the same therapy I gave you and since Day 6 on my Joepathy she has been attending school on a daily basis.

I would also like to know what your Blood Pressure and your Blood Sugar level are for the purpose of record.

Joe De Livera last decade
Dear Joe,

I hope you recieve this email in good health and happiness.Ameen

The medicine that you requested that I order has been next to my bed now for over 12days now but I have been unable to start it as my acute nasal condition has really affecting asthma.

I simply cant control the nasal condition, the constant sneezing, watery and red eyes due to the sneezing, my nose is blocked or my nose wont stop running which in return places a heavy burden on my lungs therefore affecting my asthma as if my chronic asthma condition isnt enough.

Ive been hit by flu like symtoms over the past 2 weeks,in which I had a very bad cold, high fever, aches and pains in body and severe headaches.

Though I am not a doctor and never claimed to be one but I am quite sure that the amount of anti-biotics and steriods given to me must have some sort of side affects on me.

Moving foward I have recently completed a course of both anti-biotics and steroids which was to treat my so called chest infection but the nasal condition is still with me.

Before I start what you prescribed for me,can I please confirm would you like me to stop all my other medication?(seredite disk, ventolin haler and the nasal spary all of which i require)

Sorry if Im coming across as making excuses Im very worried and scared not to take them especially the ventolin inhaler.thats how much i require it.

Secondly in response to your method below of the wet dosees as per your instructions.Do I need to insert 3 drops everytime I take a wet dose?

Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done at least 6 times before sipping a capful of the bottle as prescribed.

You requested I advise you what my blood pressure and blood sugar levels are for the purpose of record. My blood suagr level is 6.0
and blood pressure level is 130/90.

Before I finish this post I would like to say thank you for your patience and understanding.

May God be pleased with you for all you efforts.Ameen.

You have left me in suspense for about 3 weeks and I was wondering what your problem was and I know now that this was due to your chronic asthmatic condition which seems to be going from bad to worse.

I would like to place on record that yours is the most difficult and challenging case of Asthma that I have ever treated and if, please God, I can help you, it can be considered as the nearest to a miracle.

Let me note down the protocol that you will follow for the next few days.

You will have to continue with your present therapy protocol till your chest infection is stabilized.

You will take Calc Carb 30 in the Wet dose thrice daily for your sneezing and report progress.

If this remedy helps your sneezing I shall then give you further instructions.

Till such time you must continue with your current therapy.

Your BS level or 6.0 is slightly elevated. Your BP is bordering on Hypertention but this may be due to your present condition.

Order the following remedies ASAP:

Ars Alb 30 in the Alcohol pack
Ars Alb 200 in the dry pellets.

Joe De Livera last decade
My apologies for leaving you in suspense, however this was not my intention.

Yes your right my chronic asthma condition seems to be going from bad to worse,it hasn't helped that I haven't been able to visit a hot dry climate country or a region like the middle east were the summers are hot and the winters are warm.whenever I have been fortunate to visit the above region or a hot dry climate country,my health improves and my acute nasal condition disappears without any need for medication like my nasal spray, therefore my chronic asthma is condition doesn't have the burden of my acute nasal condition.

I already have the Ars Alb 30 in alcohol pack and the Ars Alb 200 in dry pellets along with the Blatta Orientalis 6c.I will order Calc Carb 30 today immediately,so that i can begin taking it as per your instructions.

Can I please confirm that when receive the calc carb 30 how many drop shall i insert in to the bottle?and when I take this thrice daily,am i supposed to insert drops every time I take it?

May the lord fulfill your wishes and grant you peace of mind forever.

A short answer to your question about the Wet dose:

You will use just 3-5 drops in the 500ml bottle of spring water that you will be using after decanting about 100ml from the 500ml bottle to leave some airspace.

Your report of the improvement of your Asthmatic condition when you visit dry countries confirms that Blatta Orientalis is the perfect remedy for you.

Keep me advised of your progress.

Joe De Livera last decade
I have ordered the Calc Carb 30 and hopefully it should arrive through the post by wednesday/thursday this week.

As soon this arrives I will take out 100ml from a bottle of 500ml spring water to leave airspace and i will insert 3-5 drops of calc carb 30 into this.
Shaking the bottle hard 6times before taking taking either a teaspoonful or capful.

My understanding is that I am to take this thrice daily but I wont be adding anymore drops other than the first time when i took the 100ml of water out of the bottle unless you advise me to do so.

I will keep you updated with my progess.

I am also due to see my GP on wednesday for a check-up to confirm if my chest infection has cleared up.I will give you an update about this visit so that you can inform me of when I can start the other remedies.

You mentioned in your previous post that my case is the most difficult and challenging case of asthma that you have treated.

Yes indeed it would be a miracle but I request that you dont give up on me and continue to pray for me and others around the world as you do.

You are a good hearted person and you came foward to my call when others kept quiet,God has chosen you and May God give you the strength to continue the help that you offer to us all.Ameen.

I hope to see and meet you one day.I pray that day arrives soon.Ameen.

Thank you for your kind words which are appreciated.

Where do you live ?

If you live in Sri Lanka you can collect the remedies from me free of charge.

Your very welcome Joe.Honestly my compliments and gratitude are based how you have treated me.

Its so difficult when a person has an Asthma condition it affects your health, your family around you and most importantly your life.

And in my plea for help you offered your hand to lift me off the ground.

I live in the UK and the climate here just doesnt help at all.

For sure if was in Sri Lanka I would have visited you in person the very first day we made contact on net, to say thank you.

I still haven't given up hope of meeting you one day though. No matter how far the distance.

I would like to thank you for offering the remedies for free, once again you have demonstrated your generosity and kindness to me.

Your statement touches me and gives me an insight into the depth of the problem caused by your chronic Asthma from which you have suffered during your lifetime.

It will my pleasure to try to help you and you have my assurance of my prayers too as they have helped when others have failed.

I would like to copy my advice about the use of steam and the physiotherapy I have advised to other patients who like you were chronic cases of Asthma. This exercise is to rid the lungs of the phlegm that is surely blocking the airways and will hopefully hasten the curative process.

'Steam is also important and you can get some steaming device that is used in beauty saloons for facial treatment.

You will be very welcome to visit me in Colombo and if and when you do have the opportunity of doing so, I shall give you my phone number to set up a meeting.

It is my hope and prayer that by that time your Asthma will hopefully have responded to my Joepathy.

Joe De Livera last decade
Thank you so much for your prayers, this gives me great comfort and peace of mind.

Your advice about the use of steam is useful.I already have with me a steaming device which I try to use regularly.

Yes It will be a great to see you and meet you in Colombo,I really look foward to this.

I hope that the remedies that I am about to begin will help me with condition ,unfortunately my illness doesn't allow me to work at times and my previous employers have run out of patience with my time off work with this illness and therefore i have had to leave my job.

I have been out of work for 18months now and this has been the story of my life, from the tender age of 11 to this date.Sometimes weeks and months pass by with me in a terrible state.May god make it easy for us all.Ameen.

Many thanks for you prayers once again.

I visited my GP today and I can confirm that my chest infection has cleared up.

I am not any anti-biotics or steroid courses besides my daily intake of seretide disk(which is still a steroid) 500mg(2puffs twice a day/woking as a preventer)

Avamys nasal spray(2puffs twice a day)

Ventolin Inhaler(as and when required)quite a few times day and night.

I am unable to excercise as I am always breathing through my mouth because my nose is blocked and this places more pressure on my lungs which are full of mucus making it very difficult for me to breath.

Also through the post arrived today was the Calc carb 30c wetdose.

I have inserted 3drops of this into a 500ml still water bottle, though the bottle only has 400ml of water.
I understand that i am to take this thrice daily and that im not to add anymore drops until u say so.

Would like me to begin the wet doses of Ars Alb 30c and Blatta Orientalis 6c wet dose?

Do I stop my Allopathic therapy?

Alhambra last decade
Please follow my instructions precisely as prescribed.

Report your response often as I monitor this site often and shall respond as soon as I get the email alert.

I believe that you are aware that your case is not easy to resolve as you have suffered so very unnecessarily from Asthma for over 21 years.

It will be my pleasure to help you to do so as I have always enjoyed a challenge in my life even at age 82.

Joe De Livera last decade
Sure i will try my up most to report my response as often as possible as communication is paramount in us trying to eradicate this illness.

Please forgive me as I am unclear if i should stop my current and daily medication of seretide, avamys and Ventolin whilst taking the homeopathic therapy?

I am aware of the task ahead is not easy at all as I have suffered from this illness for over 21 years.

Your dedication, time and effort is greatly appreciated. The drive and enthusiasm at the age that you mentioned is an inspiration to us all.

May the lord Give you a long and healthy life and long may you continue your work of helping us all.Ameen

Alhambra last decade
Start on my therapy while using the minimum of your drugs. Stop the Seretide but use the Ventolin when necessary.

The steam therapy I have outlined is essential as it is necessary to rid the lungs of the phlegm which is usually a major problem with chronic Asthmatics. This steam protocol followed by the physiotherapy must be done at least twice preferably thrice daily. You will have to get someone to slap your back to promote the outflow of phlegm.
