Joe, do I have to have 6C or can I use 30C instead? The store only had 30C so I bought it anyway, but have not used it yet.

BW090582 last decade
30c is not indicated for daily use.

However since you have purchased it already you may go ahead with its use on the same lines I indicated in my last post with just 2 succussions prior to each dose.

Joe De Livera last decade
The drip has decreased somewhat, but I still get that odor coming from the nose. :(

BW090582 last decade
Suggest you get the Gels 6c and use it in place of the 30c you are now using. This can make the difference in the treatment of your problem.

The technique used in succussion remains the same.

Are you sure that the 'odour' is not due to your being hyper sensitive to it ?

One does not normally notice any odour from one' own nose. You might get someone in your family to check this out.

Joe De Livera last decade
I will order the 6C's for sure.

I know I still have the odor because I still get a bitter taste in my mouth due to the remaining, thick, PND. Upon wakening in the morning I can smell the same odor coming from my nose as before. People have commented around me about how they smell a 'fart' smell. I know its from my nose. If I clear my throat the odor goes away, until the drip gets back to where it was, then the odor comes back.

Damn, what a frustrating thing to live with.

Joe, what do you think about Natrum Muriaticum? I was looking over the uses for it, and it seems like it has much more to do with mucus,PND, bitter taste etc than the Gelsemium does. Then again, you know a lot more about this stuff than I do. Thanks again for your help.

I do not believe that Nat Mur can help with any problems associated with the nose. As you probably know Nat Mur is Sodium Chloride or Common Salt.

It is used extensively for treatment of problems associated with the mind.

Joe De Livera last decade
I did the 6C's for 3 days and still no luck. Do you have anymore suggestions?

BW090582 last decade
OK. It is obvious that Gels is not helping you and I would like you to replace it with Nux Vomica 6c which you can use in the same manner.

Joe De Livera last decade
Did not work. Any other suggestions for stuff that might be stronger?

BW090582 last decade
I have recently cured a "bitter taste" problem with Nat Phos 6x.

I would suggest that you too use it and report. Take 2 tablets daily after lunch and dinner.

This remedy will help with your digestion and may help to stop that bitter taste ans smell.

You will appreciate that I cannot really figure out your taste and smell and as a result we may have to use a few remedies which can help to eradicate your problem

Joe De Livera last decade
I know the problem is from post nasal drip. I dont just have a bitter taste and smell for some mysterious reason. If I clean my tongue and clear all the mucous out of my throat, I dont have the smell or taste any longer. But, the smell will come back about 30 minutes later when the mucous starts to drip down my throat again. So, I dont really need a cure for bad taste or smell, just for post nasal drip. Thanks again.

Hi Joe .. I purchased the Bacillinum Test 200 4gg Granules in the hope of ridding myself of this long standing condition. I am a little confused about the amount of Bacillinum Test 200 to take. The small brown bottle is full of small pellets (granules). There is no indication or reference to pellet diameter or No 30 pellets. Am I to take only 4 of these small pellets under the tongue? Your input is much appreciated. Joseph
................
Joe you stated the following:>

The dose that you have taken of 4gg granules may be the correct dose but this depends on what the 'gg' size is. I use the No 30 pellets which are 3mm diameter and the dose is 4 pellets per dose which should be taken 2 weeks apart.

Blake last decade
I am not familiar with the Bacillinum TEST 200 4gg Granules that you have purchased. I use the liquid remedy of which I take 5 drops into a little glass vial which holds 150 globules which are activated with the remedy.

You have purchased what you state are 4gg granules and I cannot tell you what dose to take without further information. Please indicate the size of these granules and also other information about the No 30 pellets you referred to in your last post.

In Homeopathy one has to be precise. The data you have provided does not help in establishing the correct dose. You must give all the data you have on the label of the bottle and I would prefer that you do not take any of this remedy till we clarify the confusion.

Thanks for your reply Joe. I respect the recommendation to clarify before taking anything. I have visited Helios' website and extracted the related info. I hope that there is enough information here to determine the exact dosage. I don't mind reordering. This condition became established a couple of years ago while in Toronto and now is localized in the nose / sinus (top of the nose ethmoid sinus area) PND, snoring, cough morning and late afternoon, I have no allergies except maybe to the heat and cold. Last year due to not knowing what was happening I got sinsitis and ultimately an infection in my lungs. I took some antibiotics and have been OK since the beginning of this year. In my reading the only condition that remotely came close to my symptoms was non- allergic vasomotor rhinitis although I even question this. The onset of my condition started after I had the flu in Toronto. Originally from a cold area of Canada, I am now living and working in Dubai UAE. The extremes of temperatures and humidity especially air conditioning seems to act as a trigger. Early mornings and early afternoons are the worst times of the day. I take claranace antihistamine, dexa rhinaspray, and when things get rough I take a bronchial dilator. The only time that I have a problem with breathing is when my nose starts to run. I can actually feel pressure building at the top of my nose and I may go into a sneezing coughing fit. When things are under control my breathing seems to be fine. In fact I go to the gym about 2 - 3 times per weeks with vigorous training and jogging usually spent 30 minutes to one hour on a treadmill.

There are three different forms of Bacillinum and all three come with the same series of potencies, form and size :
1) Bacillinum 30C - CM £3.75

2) Bacillinum (Helios) 6 - 10M £3.75

Nos 1 and 2 are out.
No 3 is OK as long as you can get the 200c potency. You may get it in globules as you may not be able to activate the globules as I do.

In your post you have stated

"I take claranace antihistamine, dexa rhinaspray, and when things get rough I take a bronchial dilator."

I note that you use a bronchial dilator from which I infer that you have a wheeze. Am I correct in my assumption ?If so do not order the Bacillinum as this is not indicated. We may have to treat your wheeze first and this can settle your problem.

Please give me details of the ailments that you use the other drugs for.

Thank you again for your reply and help. More or less, my daily routine goes as follows:
1) I get up about 5 am everyday for work. In the morning usually when I blow my nose I get a great amount of clearish runny mucous. Last fall it was yellowish and as I understand now that this may indicate an infection (sinistis) which can (and did ) lead to an infection in the upper respiratory area. Terrible coughing and wheezing, more or less all day. When I get sinus pressure and mucous happening in my nose I can feel a tightening in the upper area of my chest lungs. That is when I cough since I have mucous forming. It is at that time I take the bronchial dilator.
2) I usually take a claranase in the morning before work and that just ensures that my nose is under control throughout the day. >>> When my nose is under control my coughing is under control.
3) Throughout the day everything is more or less OK. Later in the afternoon 3 - 4pm (like clockwork > it is a little wierd) I can feel my nose getting pressure building and plugging up along with my upper chest tightening. I sometimes, but not always take the bronchial dilator ( name > symbicort )
4) Going from a cool air conditioned environment outside where temperatures are (at the present time) in the mid 40s with humidity I find that I am very uncomfortable and really cough on my drive home. Things settle down once I am back inside my home. It is very difficult to open any window due to the heat so I basically live in a centalized airconditioned environment which I don't feel is good.
5) During the evening everything seems fine with no coughing or nose problems. I fall asleep easily although I must sleep on my back. If I lie on my side or stomach my nose will run which really surprises me sometimes.

I hope this will provide you with enough information. I should say that back in Toronto one and one half years ago during the winter I got the flu. Prior to this I very seldom got colds and considered myself to be very healthy with absolutely no problems. This had to be the worst flu I have ever experienced. My coughing was extremely violent, up all night. The house where I was living was old, dusty damp. That was the time the doctor I visited prescribed the bronchial dilator. I sometimes feel that I picked something up at that time and can't get rid of it. fungal possibly ??

Anyway thankyou very much for your assistance. If there is anything else you need to know to assist in nailing this condition down please let me know.
Cheers
Blake in Dubai

I believe that your problem may be due to your wheeze which I would like to treat first if you are willing to do so. I am copying my standard instructions for using Nat Sulph 6c which I presume you can get in your city:

"I have treated many cases of Asthma successfully in adults and the remedy that I recommend you use is Nat Sulph 6c which must be used precisely in the manner indicated below:

Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from your nearest supermarket.
Pour out 100ml
Drop in 3 pellets or 1 drop of liquid Nat Sulph 6c into the 400ml water
Cap the bottle tightly and succuss it 4-6 times by banging on your palm and look out for the air bubbles to fizzle up from the bottom.
Pour out 1 teaspoonful of the potentized remedy into half a cup of water from another bottle of the same water and stir it gently.
Sip 1 teaspoonful of the water from the cup just once daily for the first week and every other day thereafter."

You will have to stop all other medication if you wish to start on this therapy.

Please report your response in 2 weeks after you commence on this therapy.

Hi Joe
I am suffering and have been for several years. My symtoms are a constant flow of mucous down the back of my throat which clots overnight. it feels as if i am choking and when i swallow i feel as if there is barrier at the back of my pallet.
my nose runs lightly and i always feel as if one nostril is partially blocked.
what can i take to stop this torture?
thanks in advance

jonlapillerie last decade
Use Gelsemium 6c in the same manner that I have described in my post to Blake above yours and report back in a few days.

Joe De Livera last decade
Correction of dosage for you

I would like you to take a teaspoonful of the potentized remedy twice daily direct from the bottle without the half cup coming into the picture.

Joe
Thanks for your suggestion re Gelsemium 6c.I am slightly concerned as you state to Blake that no other medication should be taken.
I have to take heart and and cholesterol tablets daily. is this going to alter the efficacity of the Gelsemium?
tks
Jon

I have observed that Homeopathic remedies work successfully side by side with drugs.

I had surgery for my Prostate in 2002 in the US and used Arnica in preference to the Morphine which was connected to the IV and in spite of all the drugs that I was taking post op the Arnica was able to deaden the pain very successfully and it also helped the healing which was considred remarkable as I was out of bed on the third day.

The Gels 6c will not interfere with your heart drugs and vice versa but you may also consider using Arnica 6c for your heart as it thins the blood twice daily, wet dose.

Please report response to Gels in 3 days as in case it does not help, I can suggest another remedy Causticum 6c which can also help.

Do not however use it immediately till you report on the Gels.

Hi Joe
I wanted to ask you about my symptoms if I may please?
I thought I had catarrh until I read various descriptions and seem not to fall into them exactly. My symptoms have been from a child and my doctors have refused to help me with allergy testing (but that's a different story!) and consist of a continual drip from my nose and in the morning and late evening I have phlegm (or catarrh) in the back of my throat. Sometimes it makes me choke, but not often. Can you advise with info and a remedy please?
Many thanks
Vicky, Chester

I believe that 2 doses of Bacillinum 200 taken 2 weeks apart can help you.

Please note that you should not take this remedy which is a nosode if you have any other ailments except for your catarrh. You may only take the 2 doses and report response before you use it again.
