erika-can you help me? Page 2 of 3

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi joy - it sounds like you should stop giving the remedy for a few days until this skin reaction settles and then reduce the dosage to 1 daily - let me know how she is once you do this.
You can certainly give arnica alongside to help the skin heal.

Ok. Re-Started the sepia 6c this week 1x per day. Face seems ok.

Tell me, is an interest in acting out her attraction to occult related to this remedy? I told you she was spiritually aware, but wanting to cast spells, etc. is new. I personally don't think this is harmless and am trying to discourage this. Any homeopathic suggestions?

joy50 last decade
I am not aware of sepia being related to this kind of attraction. if you feel it is related you can give less of the remedy and see if this improves the situation. Usually a 6c would mostly address the physical aspects of a case.
Most likely another remedy is showing through that may well be needed instead of sepia when sepia no longer helps.
to see if sepia is still appropriate then have a look at whether all the symptoms you listed originally are still improving while taking sepia.
another thought -is there a trend in her peer group at the moment that she is following??

erika last decade
Yes, I am sure this involves friends. But I just wanted to know the remedy aspect, and you have been helpful.

I was planning on giving sepia 6c for the 4 total weeks per your original suggestion. The first week was 3x per day. We took almost a week off because of the breakouts on her face. We are into week 2 at 1x per day.

(By the way, weren't the breakouts a positive sign of healing?)

One really tough question is regarding the obesity. Obviously this is a process. How can I tell if sepia is truly helping this.

I know for sure the wart hasn't changed yet. How long should be wait to judge results?

Her attitude is quite pleasant. It helps for her to get out around people more often.

Finally, in the beginning you stated that there were a few remedies you were considering, but that we should begin with sepia. I'm intrigued.

Thanks so much Erika. Regards, Joy

hi - yes the breakouts were probably positive, but I don't believe in pushing the body too fast/causing unnecessary suffering etc. if the body wants to go slower let it!
obesity - could be that if there is water retention involved you will notice more peeing, looser stools, on the other hand if just 'fat' then you should notice a change in appetite or energy if the remedy is helping this to rebalance.
the fact that her temperament is so much better is a good pointer that the remedy is really helping.
I will look back at the beginning to see which other remedies i considered and get back to you :)

Hi. Thanks for the reply.

So we are going to stay with sepia 6c this week and 2 more weeks, once each day. That'll be a total of 4 weeks. J

joy50 last decade
ok - keep me in touch.
I didn't make a note at the time of the other remedies considered, but I quickly read through your first posting and consider I would study merc.sol, lachesis as other remedies to begin. Would need to study it further though before I settled on these or others.
sepia had the most indicated symptoms.

We'll re-assess all symptoms and changes when we're ready to move on. Joy

Hi erika. Moving along taking Sepia 6c once per day. My daughter has a stiff neck today. Is this significant? Everything else seems pretty good. She had a light period. Her face looks better and her mood is reasonable. Joy

joy50 last decade
Hi joy - not sure if the stiff neck is significant or coincidental. Does she still have this or is it something she suffers often from?
the rest sounds like good progress, which I hope will continue. thanks for reporting - look forward to hearing more. :)

Stiff neck gone this AM. Wish the acne and wart would get lost...Joy

joy50 last decade
believe me I know the feeling - warts love to stay!!
any sign of improvement at all with the acne?
erika

erika last decade
Yes, I think the acne is improving, especially after it got worse in the beginning. But it is stubborn. Again, like the weight, I am sure it's a process.

hang on in there!

As long as we're on the right track. As soon as I get a weight I'll let you know, too. I think the scale MAY be encouraging as well. Joy

Hi Erika. What would you give this child for sudden bout of violent sneezing, itchy inside of nose with sore, red, swollen tonsils and thin, clear nasal discharge? It seems like a cold, but no fever. POssible allergy symptoms. I gave her 3 doses of Nat Mur throughout the evening followed by 1 dose of Allium Cepa and she was finally able to get to sleep. I hope this is acceptable. I don't really have many remedies to choose from at home. Any input? (nothing is ever simple?!) Thank you. Joy

Hi again. My daughter is much improved this AM. Tonsils not really red, but they always seem to be too big for her throat in general. BAck of her throat is very pink. She has cough, sniffly nose and sort of headachy. Sounds like sinus to me. I plan on giving Kali Bich today, but overall she seems very good.

How does this fit into her sepia treatment? Any thoughts? Joy

joy50 last decade
joy - best to stop the sepia whilst you treat this acute then start again once better.
carry on with the remedies you have - these things often clear on their own, having a cold is not a bad thing. gargling with sage tea (strained and made from kitchen sage)or similar may help.

erika last decade
She is much improved today. Went to school. The main thing we try to avoid is that strep. That red throat...

What do you think about her tonsils always being so big? Does that mean they are always fighting something? Can we reduce their size? I would think this would come under the sepia? Joy

joy50 last decade
sepia may help this.
some people's tonsils are stubborn to reduce and large tonsils can mean they are doing their job well in fighting things off/keeping the problems from going to the chest.
she would be helped a lot more by going to a homeopath near you for regular treatment - patient/therapist communication is missed by this being dealt with online through yourself rather than your daughter having direct contact with the therapist.
forgive me if I have asked already if you have a homeopath nearby?

erika last decade
We have no homeopath that I can afford nearby. I believe we have one to choose from in this part of our state. Joy

joy50 last decade
if you could afford it it would be worth it. perhaps the homeopath has special rates for low incomes - it is worth asking.
I am not saying you should have to go and am happy to advise online but I do recommend this if sepia stops being effective.
treatment through you rather than direct with your daughter means the treatment is 'one-removed' and this is not always good for getting the symptoms needed and can mean a lot of important symptoms remain missed and unspoken leading to only partial healing. :)

erika last decade
I do understand this. The more I learn and do, the deeper the healing I can imagine. I am trying to re-educate my children to expect wellness always instead of taking prescriptions for symptoms all the time. It's a stretch sometimes even for me to think homeopathically. Many folks I know think I'm stubborn; many think I'm unwise. But I know vitality is available. Regards, Joy

joy50 last decade
how is your daughter now - has the cold eased?

erika last decade
I do believe this is the quickest cold we ever got over in this family! I think what did the trick for her was the Kali Bich. I went to the store and purchased that the day she took off school Monday. She only needed a few doses. We use the wet dose method. Great! Thanks for caring. I think we'll finish the week with Sepia? This is the 4th week.

Joy

joy50 last decade
carry on with sepia if her symptoms for sepia are still there as the chronic characteristics. Sometimes acutes (coughs, colds etc. etc.) can change the remedy needed, so if sepia now seems to not suit when you give it then stop and let us reassess what may have changed from her original symptoms.
