swollen gland in back of neck

Well the last 2 years it has been twice a year. Both when the weather changes. Before that once a year,.and only if the apple tree out back bloomed its flowers. I think one year it did not,.or I had lucked outin missing my normal allergy hit of that year. (but I know there was only one year where I did not get my sinus infection)a The last 2 yrs in the change to winter the sinus infection came along with whatever illness my young son had given me. Normally I havent gotten sick since I was a kid,.but my son has been in school for 2yrs now. Whenever he gets something he seems to pass it on to my other son,.then I get it last. I have been tested for allergies and am said to be allergic to pollen,.molds, grasses,..etc. I also am allergic to cats and have cat that is now 20yrs old. I do not sneeze around him or anything. I have been known to get skin rashes (hives)though that make no rhyme or reason. No one has a an answer for that with the drs. I have been to. (just say its uticaria) I also have pressure sensitve skin,.and the rashes seem to be where ever I have leaned. (for instance arm against a counter for too long or something) but funny it all cleared up when I was pregnant both times.(now thinking I missed that allergy season both times I was pregnant also) The sinus infections durring the summer and the rashes probably came around the same time when I was 16yrs old. I am now 39. (at the time we moved from wisconsin to michigan) But seems every summer at the same time I get antibiotics because I have waited to long to go into the drs. It never clears up on its own as it did this time. And so far since Ive gotten this swollen gland,.I am not suffering with all the trees in bloom now as I normally would be at this time and am not taking my zyrtec meds. I actually feel pretty good about my health more then normal except this swollen gland.

deoshlok,..calc carb?? calcium?? I have to find out what this is. My mom has always been into herbal remedies and frankly Ive just gotten into them myself. thank you!

again just one dose a week??? not daily? right?

John,..Really the only meds Ive probably had are zyrtec,..nasal sprays(like nasacort,..but only when needed) I dont like being addicted to someof these things. another has been the asthma inhalers,..but only when I get the sinuitis. My allergist told me to take them regularly and I do not. He even admitted to me that most patience get worse, but when I do not have an underlying cause my breathing is very good! (he cannot understand) But I know they also do not understand why so many people suffer allergies when not to long ago,..noone did! Now it has jumped to what 80%? since the 70's?? Ive mentioned the vitamins,..enchencea,garlic, for awhile I was taking ginseng,.but it would make my face break out but gave me great energy and brain power. stopped taking that awhile ago. I had to take pain killers for my arm that had completely broken in half on my upper arm. surgery to put a plate in my arm as the muscle had wrapped around the bone. Bone broke in mid air while roller skating,..that was over 3 yrs ago though. Had bronchial pnuemonia when had a sinus infection last winter,..took antibiotics,..cant remember what type but wasnt amoxicillian,. was a 5 day dose. The year prior to that had a face infection,..impetigo. picked up from the dentist office? Scratched a pimple. had antibiotics for that. Also had the flu last year but took nothing but rested.
The other thing that I have to mention,..and I cannot go that far back,..but with the rashes I previously mentioned I did get shots. The first time,..it made my hives worse and it went up my arm. I was diagnosed at that time with cat scratch. Antibiotics did nothing to relieve that hive. Then years later,..I was talked into that shot again and the hives only got worse,..and I have refused the shots since. It went from the lower part of my arm to the upper part of my arm. Now has gone to my back and sometimes my cleavage area. But this may not be here nor there. My mother has had alot of psoriasis,.and my brother,..and to me these hives are nothing compared to them and wonder if its hereditary in a sense. But not sure if they have anything to do with anything. Only other meds I can think of was durring childbirth for epidural on one child. I cannot remember far back when I was child cept having scarlet fever as a child,..the chicken pox,.mumps etc. a couple times bronchitis.
With this swollen gland I do notice if I do have some alcohol to drink it allmost goes down to nothing. I guess I have learned to live with my skin problem,.but this gland thing does not seem normal. Also was told at one time I have arthritis but was never given anything for it,..the dr. recommended I not take anything unless it bothered me too much. and I havent taken anything but can tell when it is gonna rain as I can feel it in my bones. Im sorry I cannot give dates on anything as I stopped keeping track of all that along time ago and maybe I should not have. Sorry this info is all over the place.

Calcarea Carbonica ?? This is what we are talking about?? I read that it has to do with the head and such,..amoung a million other things! But one thing I do notice is when I am outside or in the mornings it does feel like I have a cold in my neck! Sometimes it is hard to explian how I feel. But I feel like when the wind blows and even if it is not cold out,..I feel I need a scarf!

John the sensation of needing a scarf has only been since the swollen gland has shown up,.and when it is windy out,.wether it is warm wind or cold wind.

Nothing else seems to aggrevate it. My sinus' right now seem to be just fine. Only the fullness in the ear thing that comes and goes with a little achiness (inner right ear on the same side as the swollen gland).

John,..I seriously dont remember ever having ear pain before this swollen gland. But am sure I probably had a few earaches as a child. I cannot remember them,.nor were they frequent. But am sure I had one or two! pressing back in the hollow behind the ear,..takes alot to feel pain! If anything the pain is pressing so hard I am hurting my bone in there! The ear is not giving anytype of sensation at all as I am doing this right now. (inner ear) But as I mentioned this sensation I feel in my ear comes and goes,..it is not always there. Its enough to let me know something is going on there,.but not soo much where I am completely bothered that it stops what I am doing at the time. I cannot actually pinpoint when the sensations happen. (meaning there is no rhyme or reason as far as tme of day,.or I have never paid that much attention)
I will mention one other thing about my neck. Since this swollen gland,..my neck feels it needs to be cracked. Mostly upon waking. I am not sure this is just a habit forming but have never had it happen before.(or felt a need to do so) Sometimes it cracks just by tilting my head to one side,..without even trying to make it crack. (or pop,.or whatever it is doing). Not sure I even feel any better after doing so!! And I read somewhere cracking the neck is not a good thing to do,..and am trying not to do it. Maybe my attention is soo drawn to my neck,..I do not know.
