You should realise the truth that the principle of Atma (Soul) that is present
in
all beings is one and the same. As man is unable to understand his true
nature, he is facing all kinds of problems in life. He is deluded by
thinking that he is the body. When one realises that the same Atma that
dwells in him also dwells in other living beings, one will experience
and
enjoy Divine proximity always. One who realises the Atmic principle
leads
his life with the firm conviction that Daiva Sannidhi (divine
proximity) is
his Pennidhi (greatest wealth).

To call oneself a human, first and foremost, one must show humanness in action. Having been born and brought up in society and having earned one's wealth from it, one should show gratitude to it by working for its welfare. The world is facing problems because man does not show his gratitude to society. Society's well-being is your well-being too. Give up selfishness and work for the welfare of the society. The world will enjoy peace and security only when everyone serves society and has devotion towards God.

Attain the love of God through love. Similarly, attain truth through truth. When you lead your life in such a manner, it is true Sadhana (concentrating the mind on God).
Going to a forest and sitting in solitude is not true Sadhana. Live in society and serve it selflessly, thinking that you are serving God. When you serve somebody in distress, consider that you are serving God Himself.

Karma.
When a child emerges from the womb of his/her mother, there is no garland around his/her neck. There are no jewels..like diamonds, emeralds, pearls ...or even gold. But there is one 'garland' around his / her neck. The garland of 'Karma'. Karma ...the consequences of the deeds of the past births.
That is why human beings inherit wealth and disease.
The two come together as a consequence of the deeds of past life.
Self-less service to God's creation can only wipe out the consequences of bad Karma.

Since the Indoor stadium is nearing completion the opening ceremony
preparations are in full swing. The basketball players from Harlem Globe
Trotters are here in Puttaparthi. They will be playing one of the
opening
matches in the indoor stadium when it will be inaugurated.
Thought for the Day
When obstacles come, meet them with courage. They harden you and make
you
tough. Suffering and misery are inevitable acts of the Cosmic drama.
God
does not decree these calamities, but man invites them by way of
retribution
for his evil deeds. This is the corrective punishment by nature, which
induces man to give up the wrong path. All this is part of the grand
design
in which the negatives serve to glorify the positives. Thus, death
glorifies
immortality; ignorance glorifies wisdom; misery glorifies bliss; night
glorifies dawn.
