Internal abdominal scar tissue

I am a 51 yr. old female who had 3 laprascopies and a hysterectomy when I was 34 and also had my gall bladder removed. I always am in pain around my naval where I might add is the entrance for 4 of my surgeries. I have had a virtual colonoscopy because of adhesions on my sigmoid colon and that was clear except for scar tissue and a slight twisting of my transverse colon/spleenic flexure. What should I be taking for the scar tissue? I DO NOT want to have anymore surgeries.

Please help!

Dear berta

Take Staphysagria 6 thrice on a day to negate the effects of surgeries.

Thank you so much for suggesting that remedy-I had been considering that but-I kept on thinking that my surgeries had been so long ago that it wouldn't help.

How long should I continue to take the remedy?

Thank you again-
Berta~~~

You can take remedy not exceeding 3 doses and see how it works for atleast a week.

The staphsygria worked wonders on the pains around my naval. Now I am experiencing pain in the spleenic flexure area do to adhesions and a torqued area. Any suggestions? I know that I have adhesions here because a regular colonscopy could not be completed due to the adhesions in that area.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

I stumbled on the homeopathic health forum re burning pains around the naval and general internal healing from hysterectomy. I have been in pain for the past 5 weeks post op. I read the post from Maheeru suggesting Staphsygria. I tried it the next day and by the evening the pain had completely disappeared. I went from taking percosettes to absolutely no pain meds in one day! Thank you so much!

Dear Joynina

You're welcome. Thanks for your feedback.

Maheeru,
I'm wondering if you can recommend something for the 'healing pain' I am experiencing at the site of the incision. The Staphsygria was very helpful for the the original pain I was experiencing, this is more like a stretching/burning pain I have when I stand up and there is tension on the scar site. Maybe there is something external to put on the incision? Or, maybe this will pass on it's own over time.
Thanks again,
joynina

Dear joynina

Take arnica 30 not exceeding 6 doses.

Alongside you can take Calendula 6x(liquid potency) thrice a day for a couple of weeks. You can apply this to the site too. (For external use mix 10 drops of calendula in 50ml of water and wet the affected place 2-3 times daily. )

I have taken the calc flour. and had no relief with the tightness surrounding the area where there is scarring. Nor feel no relief from internal adhesions. Any other suggestions?

Dear Joynina

Good to know you're doing well. The remedy calendula will also most likely prevent scar tissue formation. It's best prophylaxis for prevention of scar tissue after surgery.

Dear Berta

Please answer following questions:

Do you feel any relief from pain when you're outside exposed to fresh air?
Do you have itching? is the pain drawing like, constricting like?
Is the skin around the spot hard/cracked?
What are the other problems you have?

In general scars and adhesions will take time to go away.

Maheeru,

I do not feel any relief from fresh air when my abdomin is bothering me. When it is really bothering me it feels as though my intestines are raw and being scraped. Only in the spot around my navel.
I want strong pressure on my abdomin while this is happening and generally bring my knees up a bit.
Other problems that I have-there is a list: fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, multiple chemical sensitivities, carpal tunnel, TMJ both sides, allergies. Had complete hysterectomy due to endometriosis and cysts on ovaries, also had gallbladder removed from estrogen replacement created sludge and gallbladder wasn't working properly.
The skin around my navel is soft and supple not cracked but I do have a dimple that looks like another navel above my navel where there is an old incision. So I know that it must be adhered to something behind that part of my navel. It is on the very topside of the navel. I do not want anyone to touch my navel-nor do I really want to touch it myself it does cause pain.
I am also detoxing from having my amalgams removed last August. I have been feeling better overall but the pains around my navel have been consistant for 6 years.
I just began having Chi Nei Tsang(abdominal massage)done on a weekly basis. It seems to be helping to release some of the other areas but this particular area is very stubborn.
Sorry to write so much but my history is quite complicated.
Any suggestions that you have would be appreciated!

Dear Berta

In this troublesome scar tissues, Silicea 6x and Thiosinaminum 6 twice daily can be tried for a few weeks. It may take time before these remedies show beneficial effect.

Thank you so much, Maheeru. I will start today with the remedies. I appreciate the suggestions.

I am currently pregnant with my fifth child after 4 cesareans. I would like to not have a tubal ligation, but the scar tissue is getting thicker with each cesarean.
Is there something I can take, while I'm pregnant, or after the baby is born while I'm breastfeeding to help the scar tissue soften?
I don't have much pain, just pulling sensations and mild discomfort on occasion.

very interesting post. i'm also experiencing scar tissue. i have bilateral hydrosalpinx causing me infertility. i would be interested to see what anyone can tell me that would help cure this condition. also, i see that scar tissue remedies have been prescribed without seeing a whole case. is this possible with my condition also? i have history of gonorrhea and chlamydia which caused Pelvic inflammatory disease about 13 yrs ago. this is what caused my condition.
any advice at all would be truly appreciated.

Hi Mompod

Take a look at the below post.

blank">http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/85595/

Most of the time the prophylactic protocol in the above post prevents C-section. Still if it happens please apply Calendula ointment on the surgery spot and take Calendula 6x thrice daily for 3 weeks that will prevent formation of fresh scars.

After delivery you can come back and post your Scar related details in a new post.

Hi Seek the Healer:

It seems your main trouble is infertility/hydrosalpinx due to gonorrhea and chlamydia.I'm not too sure if you had any surgery anywhere near fallopian. The above suggestions were patient specific and the scars were caused by surgery.

Your problem I assume from your info. is different. It seems you've already got Silicea 30c and Sulphur suggestions from Sajjad. My opinion is your priority should be to treat for your totality and your specific pathology which will in turn take care of scar tissues in fallopian tubes if there are any.

I am a 49 year old female that had a partial hysterectomy in '99 and the remainder in 2006...during the 2006 surgery (removal of my ovaries & fallapioan tubes) they found massive quantities of scar tissue in my abdominal area which caused my intestines to be twisted up and stuck together by scar tissue. Prior to this surgery, I was experiencing several symptoms such as vaginal itching & burning, massive abdominal gas, skin rashes, massive fatigue & headaches, chronic coughing and more....it is now 2 years later after the remainder hysterectomy and I am starting to experience the same symptoms...I am convinced that these symptoms are caused by the growth of scar tissue in my abdominal area. I am on a quest to find out how you can minimize the growth of internal scar tissue? Are there any medical tests that can be taken to determine the growth of scar tissue and again, how can it be removed without surgery? B/c surgery is the reason I am in the perdicamint. Any directions or help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. I can not take this vicious cycle and constantly feeling sick and tired. Thanks for listening, amperz

Hello amperz64

To find out the presence of internal scar tissue- tests like Ultra sound, Laproscopic procedure- are used. Former has minimal side-effects. If you can confirm the presence of internal scar tissue and revert- it'll be easy to suggest you a remedy for scar tissues.

Reading amperz64 sounds so much like me. 4 abdominal surgeries (oopherectomy, hysterectory, sigmoidectomy, and intestinal herniation surgery). If i stand too long or sit unsupported it feels like someone is pulling me apart inside and then makes the pain SO MUCH worse for weeks. At times there is pain on both sides, but for the past 6 months it's all left side and groin. I also have pain from gas in the same place. In my surgeries i was cut twice in the same place along the lower edge of my abdomen, then twice in the middle from the bottom up to my navel. Both scars are 'puckered' and stuck inward. I had a CT with contrast of my colon that didn't show any herniations or obstructions there. What do i do next to deal with the constant pain and the increasing inability to sit or stand very long?
