The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Prostate

I am 48 year-old and suffering from frequent urination, sudden urgency with incontinence, incomplete emptying, and history of slow and very weak stream with intermittency (all most no force/dripping and sprinkling) since last 10 years. I have a persistent feeling of bladder is full or has not been emptied.

Further, I am suffering (intermittently) from pain in both legs with rigor/chills, feels like fever, and difficulty with urination. I am also suffering from pain in pelvic area that includes urethra, testicles, and scrotum. Sometimes, I am feeling of stretched muscles between anus and scrotal sac. These all pains are coming frequently, but not constant. I do not have any burning sensation or bleeding or pain during or after urination.

Sometimes delayed ejaculation or unable to ejaculate during intercourse. No force while ejaculation (it is dripping). Sometimes unable to develop or maintain an erection that is sufficient for intercourse. Semen is reduced (only few drops) and become very thin.

In addition, I have a chronic backache with radiation to the legs (which is different than above pain with rigor).

Several tests have been done including urinalysis, spiral CAT scan, cystoscopy, ultrasound, sonogram, uroflow, urodynamic, PSA, and MRI (brain, cervical spine, and lumber spine). All test result is normal except uroflow, which is abnormal consistent with outlet obstruction.

Diagnosis: Dysuria and frequency,
and BPH.

Physicians remarks:

The prostate is small, smooth, slightly tender, non-nodular, slightly enlarged. Normal phallus and testicles, Rectal exam reveals the spincter tone is good, mild bladder neck contracture. No EPS seen.

Following medicines have been prescribed earlier:
(1) Hytrin 5 mg
(2) Evil – Amitriptyline HCL 10 mg
(3) Ditropal xl 5 mg
(4) Enablex
(5) Flomax

No relief with the above medicines.

Following medicines have been prescribed recently:

(1)Leavaquin 500 mg – once a day for 15 days – four times took in one year.
(2)Uroxtral 10 mg twice a day.
(3)Prostate SR – (Saw Palmetto – 320 mg)

Little relief with the above medicines.

I will appreciate if someone can guide me.

Thanks,

JKB

Dr. Sharma,

Thanks for your response. Can you please tell me whether I have prostatitis or BPH looking to my history? I am wondering because Urologist never told me that I have prostatitis or any infection in prostate. Also, this medicines you suggest will give relief for my all symptoms including delayed or unable to ejaculate and unable to develop or maintain an erection.

I will appreciate if you can provide the name, address, website address, phone numbers, etc. of pharmacy from where I can get this medicine.

I read several posts for prostate enlargement. Recently, I posted my problems under “prostate” on February 24, 2007, and received only one response. I would like to take medicines as suggested by Dr. Sharma. However, I am wondering whether Arnica 30c will helpful to me or not. My urinalysis and several other tests do not indicate any infections in my prostate. Also, urologist did not tell me that I have prostatitis, and treating me for BPH. I am on a beta blocker to help with improving the urine flow, which I believe did not work. I am also taking Saw Palmetto and believe it gives very little relief. I will appreciate any response.

I also agreed with the advise of Dr. Sharma.
Reply to your question:

* 5 pellets per dose put them under tongue and let thme dissolved
** 10 drops each in a little water thrice a day.

A combination of Dr.Reckwedge Germeny known as R-25 is also very useful in such cases.

I am taking Thuja 1M weekly one dose (5 pellets per dose), Sabal S Q and Chimaphila U Q each 10 drops three times in a day since last three months as prescribed. I had a lot improvement in frequent urination, sudden urgency and incomplete emptying. Urine flow had been improved. Also, since last two months, I had no complaint of pain in both legs with rigor/chills, or feels like fever. However, recently pain comes back in both legs with rigor/chills, and feels like fever. Also, frequency is increased and urine flow is become very slowly.

I am wondering whether any does changes is required.

I will appreciate, if Dr. Deoshlok Sharma, Dr. Mahfooz or anyone can help and provide guidance.

You need a complmentary medicine.

Instead of Thuja, now I feel Medorehinium 200 4 pills once a week may be required. This is complementary and related to urinary problem.

dear patient,
I am of the opinion that you should now stop further medication for about 15 days and then come up for necessary advice.

Dr. Mahfooz,

Per your opinion, I am not taking any medicines since last 15 days. I don't feel any major changes. As I explained earlier, I have mild pain in both legs with mild rigor/chills. This pain is not constant.

Also, frequency of urine is increased and flow is very slow and weak stream with intermittency (all most no force/dripping), and no force while ejaculation. Semen is reduced. Since last few days, I have to go for urination twice during night.

I had a lot improvement during first three months, when I started prescribed medicine by Dr. Deoshlok Sharma. However, since last month all symptoms slowly come back. Please advice. I will appreciate any and all help. Thanks.

Dr. Deoshlok Sharma,

If you read this post, please provide your opinion. I will appreciate any and all help. Thanks.

dear patient,
first I would like to quote here a lecture of dr. kent for your confidence and then advise you the medicine:

Urinary organs:
Now, a feature in connection with the genito-urinary organs. In old cases of enlarged prostate gland I do not know what I would do without Digitalis. Where there is a constant teasing to pass urines.

In many instances where the catheter has been used for months or years because he is unable to pass urine in a natural way, and where there is a residuary urine in old bachelors and old men, Digitalis is a good remedy.

It diminishes the size of the prostate gland and has many times cured.

Now I suggest you Digitalis-30 (three drops in a little water thrice for a week and report)
