Ear Infection in 14 Months old
My 14 month old baby girl keeps getting ear infections. I'm not even sure if its just one infection which hasn't gone away since she has had this problem since 2-4 months now. Amoxycillin did not work at all, Augmentin did work once but she got the infection again after 2 days (maybe it never went away completely) and now the doctor has prescribed a stronger medicine. I don't want to give so much antibiotics to her.She goes to Daycare and I'm still breastfeeding her (3 to 4 times a day). Please help!!!

Dear nmansoor:
There are many homeopathic remedies to treat otitis and ear infections. We need more information.
Please, can you give more symptoms about the illness origin, baby's behaviour and all that you think may be useful?
With this information, selecting the right remedy will be easier.
Best regards
Andrés

Thank you for your help.
- Her nature is very happy and active, we wouldn't even have noticed anything wrong but she couldn't sleep at night and kept crying whenever we tried to put her down to sleep. Then her appetite decreased and she wouldn't eat anything, she would only drink my milk. Then she got a fever.
- The infection is in both ears, at first it was in only one but amoxycillin didn't work and now the doctor said both her ears are infected. There's no apparent pain excpet when she tried to sleep, with antibiotics, there's no pain.
- No discharge or apparent itching.
- no smell, her ear just keeps getting a lot of wax. The doctor has to clear the wax every time to check her ears.
- Its been over a month now since the infection.

I've never used Homeopathic medicine before. Where can I get it from? I'm in South Florida, USA.
And also, how long am I supposed to give it to her? Just one day or more?
3 doses at 6 hours interval is a bit confusing.... please elaborate....
Thank you so much for your advice.

Dear NMansoor:
Don't worry.
Homeopathic products you can get by internet. If you dislike ordering by internet, ask to your pharmacist, because here, in Spain, we can get it in Pharmacy offices.
You can get the homeopathic remedy in liquid solution or in pellets (granules). One dosis is three drops or three pellets. To take, you must put the three pellets in your mouth, under your tongue, and wait till disspear.
If you prefer liquid solution, prepare a glass with a bit of water, put the three drops, and drink. Mantain it unde your tongue any seconds, and swallow.
You have to give to your baby one dosis at one interval of six hour. Then wait for the baby's reaction. If there is an amelioration or an aggravation, please report.
Best wishes
