Chicken Ear Infection
About a month ago I noticed a chicken w a tilted head. It is almost like she is trying to rest her head on her left shoulder. I dosed w arnica & hypericum for 3 days w no change. She is at the bottom of the pecking order & thought head injury. Then I thought wry neck even though it doesn’t look like the wry neck pics Ive seen. I started dosing her w vit e & b vitamins but seems to be getting worse. I am not sure if she has vertigo or not but sometimes she seems unable to control her neck & head. She has 1 eye (left) dilated & the right is normal but she has been that way for years. I brought her inside the other day because she was laying on the floor in the coop instead of getting on the roost or in an egg box. I dosed her for 4 days w something I found on wry neck (cell salts nat sulph, kali phos, calc phos). While in the house I can watch her more closely. Sometimes her face is red (normal) but sometimes its white & streaky. The right side appears to have a lump of something under the skin behind the ear which makes her face thicker than normal. I looked in her ear and it is hard & white. I don’t see any discharges.. I am hoping it is an infection or something like that. She does hold that ear up in the air. The right ear us up and is the one w the lump/swelling & her normal sized pupil is up.ginger2 on 2022-02-28

She hasn’t eaten since I started giving the Kali Mur. She has gotten weak and her feathers started coming out so I put her down.
