15 month ear infection

Hello
My 15 month old boy has had 5 ear infections since November. He's been on 4 different antibiotics. He was 6 weeks premature. I was bedridden for a week since my water broke at 33 weeks. At 34 weeks I went into active labour. I was given 3 shots of steroids to make sure his lungs were developed. He was in nicu for 17 days mostly for safety issues. Also he wasn't maintaining his temp. He was in incubator for most part. He was born 4 pounds. He is a happy baby a fighter. He had his tongue tie procedure when he was 5 months old. Circumsed at 6 months. Now he has ear infection next week the soecialist will tell us if he needs tubes inserted. Please I don't want my son to go thru any more procedures is there anything I can do to heal his chronic ear infections ?

Hello I'd like to update about my son he's 18 months now he did seem to get better with his ears but yesterday he started hitting his head again like he did when I first posted the problem. He hits his head he whales hit arms and legs once again. He is really restless he had gone better but it's a relapse again. He is happy baby still clingy to me he doesn't like being said no to if u say no he drops on the floor crying he is 18 months and he doesn't repeat words after me. He says mama Abu dada there Thad about it doesnt try to repeat new words. Maybe he has water in his ears and it's affecting his speech? But he understand commands like no, don't touch lets go up lets go downstairs lets take a bath etc he is pulling top molars out. He used to eat well but these days he isn't eating solids well. He doesn't like eating carbs a lot like bread or pasta.
He is restless in his sleep he's half asleep half hyper in his sleep he doesn't like his crib wants to co sleep with me. He moves his arms up and down like he's hitting the pillow in his sleep and same with his legs moving up and down side to side for at least half hour and more . He still takes pacifier to sleep. He keeps wanting his pacifier but he keeps dropping his pacifier out and then looking for it right after . He's been doing that since he was born and still doing it after he got his tongue snipped he was tongue tied at birth
What should I do with his ears ? Headaches ? And not repeating words after me?

It's been a week since I've given him the suggested dose
Today I took him to doctor and he had ear infection one ear is infected and on has fluid in it dr put him on amoxicillin antibiotics for 10 days
I haven't noticed much change I do know he has headaches like I mentioned in my last post he is rest less at night once again wakes up crying moving his head side to side in his sleep
Besides his sleeping headache ear issues I feel like he's more confident when we go out doesn't shy away much like he used to
He doesn't repeat words perhaps cuz he can't hear well with fluids in his ear
He naps in the afternoon better then he sleeps at night he is fresh in morning usually and not so happy when he wakes up from
His afternoon nap
He isn't eating at all these few days just prefers snacks like salty or sweet snacks he loves being outside and running
What should i do why isn't his fluids in his ears getting any better ? Also I should mention fluid is in middle/back ear not front part

Am123 9 years ago
i will review this case again, however antibiotics as given by doctor is right step, it will take time to get cured.

I also should and forgot to mention his pediatrician noted his testicles were high this time and when she noticed and questioned I do recall he always slaps his hands on his front diaper area during the day I always thought it was a playful act as he always is smiling and happy even in pain he only can't tolerate it when he's falling asleep or is asleep
He's very active toddler doesn't like to sit runs around and active all day the only time he will sit still is when I have Tv on otherwise he is always walking running and playing he doesn't even like to sit anymore to eat he wants to run around and just finger feed himself here and there
His specialist is recommending tubes in his ears to drain out the fluid but I am avoiding surgeries for him
Thanks again

Am123 9 years ago
Sorry I should also mention he wasn't born with high testicles it just was noticed this time in his doctors visit
