This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Acording to Boericke's MM

Antidotes to Belladonna: Camph; Coff; Opium; Acon.

According to Vithoulkas (right Murthy?) however it is better to drink even 5-6 cups of coffee, sniff anything that has camphor-than take another homeopathic drug.

Yes.it is not advisable to antidote tha action of a homeopathic medicine, with another one.

In some cases, where the aggravations are severe,he even recomends allopathy as an antidote.

Hi, May be I did not ask the question correctly.
My doctor gave me Beladonna 30C today. He said no cofee, camfour, mint, the usual suspects :-)
Is there something particularly that can antidote Beladonna? I am afraid that I will eat or drink something that can cancel the action of remedy! Thank you, Helena

Just follow your doc's instructions.

No need to worry about things which he didn't tell.

The Belladona symptoms show up in a matter of hours and the medicine is also very fast acting....so before you think that some thing will be able to anti-dote it...the med would have re-activated your vital force....provided it is a correctly selected medicine.

Some symptoms of Bell:

Lips, ears, eyes all bright red.

Throbbing pain on right side of head...increases from Scale 1 to Scale 10 in a matter of few hours.

Fever....(may be present).

Throat (see in mirror)...a lot red.....crimson red .

If you see those symptoms...not easy to confuse them....and nothing else is like Belladona.

with babies and young children when belladonna is used for fever, the red cheeks and such come with the child living in world of their own. very hot, dry diaper, but wants to be covered up. In child's case, chance of dehydration. Sabra

It is suggested that several things interfere with Homeopathy in general, not just Belladonna.

Camphor is main offense.
Peppermint toothpaste is suggested not to be used closer than 15 min. close.
Coffee is said to affect, but I have never noticed.
Smoking also and again I have no prob with smoking clients.
Recently I read in a book that one should not use an electric blanket.

A this point I tossed my hands in disgust. The first three possibly. Seems that there is such a need to control and spread alarm. In 40 years I have had poss 4 or 5 people that just didn't respond to the remedies for unknown reasons. Sabra
