I came to this site because my hair has been falling quite a lot recently ( I notice it because there is a lot of it to pick up when I sweep the house. I am 48 but turned grey in my late twenties. I was wondering if I should take Aur. Met. since I do feel more than a bit depressed - I also have a chronically loose tummy. I also have some kind of lump in my left under arm for the last 2 years. Ihave left all my books in India and have relocated to Malaysia with only a few of my remedies so I 'm really at sea.

The treatment of Hair Loss is a long process and is not an instant fix.

I have recommended Arnica 30c taken twice daily together with a Cod liver oil capsule to help the hair to grow again.

Please read the many posts on the subject of Hair Loss on this forum and use the remedies that I and other have suggested and post your response to the therapy on this forum when you see some results.

I can't find my post about depression and hair loss and if I should take Aurum Met...

gitamadhu last decade
Oh, sorry! It was on the second page. I will read through - I did in fact. My question is about Aurum Met - any views/experience? It was used once on a doctor friend of mine- a fine woman who was having a bad time with her family. I took her to my homeopath and he gave her Aurum Met - she remained so grateful because it changed so much for her.
My question is should I give it a try since my depression picture fits the aurum met symptoms for mind?

I note that you wish to use Aurum Met (Gold) for your depression. I am not aware that you had posted about depression and hair loss but I am copying below an extract from Boericke's Materia Medica on Aurum Met which I would suggest you only use after consulting a Homeopath.

Given full play, Aurum develops in the organism, by attacking the blood, glands, and bone, conditions bearing striking resemblance to mercurial and syphilitic infections; and it is just for such deteriorations of the bodily fluids and alterations in the tissues, that Aurum assumes great importance as a remedy. Like the victim of syphilis, mental states of great depression are produced by it. Hopeless, despondent, and great desire to commit suicide. Every opportunity is sought for self-destruction. Exostosis, caries, nightly bone-pains, especially cranial, nasal, and palatine. Glands swollen in scrofulous subjects. Palpitation and congestions. Ascites often in conjunction with heart affections. Frequently indicated in secondary syphilis and effects of mercury. This use of gold as an anti-venereal and anti-scrofulous remedy is very old, but has been well-nigh forgotten by the old school until rediscovered and placed on its scientific basis by homeopathy, and now it can never be lost again. When syphilis is implanted on the scrofulous constitution, we have one of the most intractable morbid conditions, and gold seems to be especially suited to the vile combination. Ennui. Oz¾na; sexual hyper¾sthesia. Arterio-sclerosis, high blood pressure; nightly paroxysms of pain behind sternum. Sclerosis of liver, arterial system, brain. Pining boys; low spirited, lifeless, weak memory.

Mind.--Feeling of self-condemnation and utter worthlessness. Profound despondency, with increased blood pressure, with thorough disgust of life, and thoughts of suicide. Talks of committing suicide. Great fear of death. Peevish and vehement at least contradiction. Anthropophobia. Mental derangements. Constant rapid questioning without waiting for reply. Cannot do things fast enough. Oversensitiveness; (Staph) to noise, excitement, confusion.

After reading the above, I believe that you will not be interested in using it as it is obviously to be used for someone who is really mentally ill, which I hope you are not.

Hi Joe,

I'm a female who suffered from alopecia as a child. Now 30 years later it has resurfaced. I tried steriods but have seen no results. I want to try Arnica 6c but the wholesaler is out of stock and will send me 30c. What dose do you recommend with this potency 30c?

Thanks

Figbell

From reports that I have received from users Arnica 30c in the water dose is better.

I have had a few cases of success in treating alopecia and you can report your response in a month after you start on the therapy.

Dosage is 3 times daily for the first few weeks reduced to twice daily thereafter.

No coffee, sausages and cola drinks.

Use only Johnson's Hair shampoo on your hair.

I have been having hairloss problem for the past 5 years and have undergone many treatments(including homeopathy). But so far there has been no response to any of the treatments. I came across this forum and saw the use of Arnica 30 . I got Arnica 30 from a homeopathy doctor just today and she has also prescribed Acid Fluor : both 3 times a day to be taken at 1/2 hour interval. She told the Arnica balls given don't have to be mixed with the water as it is already with the required potency. Please clarify the following:
a)Is Acid Fluor also for treating hairfall?
b)Can Arnica 30 be taken just like that without mixing with water?
c)Can coffee/ cola drinks/tea can be had occasionaley or to be avoided totally?
d)Do we need to avoid any of the fruit juices?
Thanks.

I noticed that you mentioned using Johnsons Baby shampoo. PLEASE stop. Most commercially manufactured shampoos contain sodium laureth sulphate which can cause hair loss in sensitive people. Your local health food shop should stock some shampoos that are free of all the different sulphates put into supermarket shampoos...try one of those.

Here is the formula:

Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, PEG-150 Distearate, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-10, Tetrasodium EDTA, Quaternium-15, Citric Acid, Yellow 10 and Orange 4.

I have used this shampoo for over 40 years and at age 76 have a good head of hair thanks to Arnica 30c nightly and other factors including the Johnson's.

You are advised to use the water dose as this is by far more effective. Most homeopaths do not know about the water dose which is by far more effective than the dry globules that we all used in the past. This method is however far more effective than the dry.

Please access my many posts with instructions on how the water dose is prepared.

No Coffee ect as they antidote.

If you wish to follow this therapy do not use any other remedies.

I am a 20 year old male from mumbai.
I have been experiencing hair loss for past 6 months or so. I have kind of a bald patch on the back of my head. Even a bit of baldness can be seen on the forehead.
My skin is oily and i do sweat quite a bit especially on the head. Dandruff is very less.
I gently massage my head with luke warm ginglee oil twice a week and wash it off with 'shikakai'. I apply Ashwini Hair oil everyday.
I am not alergic to any medicine and i am not undergoing treatment for any other problem.
I do consume a lot of water and fruits.
I even avoid exposing my head to too much of sun.

To tell about my self... I am an emotional type of a person. I do move around well with people. I do not get angry or tensed up very easily. I am kind of an easy going person.
Hair loss is not seen in my father or my grand father.

Kindly suggest a homeopathic treatment to stop hair loss and to ebnable the hair to grow back. (Not averse to tablest or oil.)

(ps:- Kindly suggest a homeopathic medicine which is available in india.)

I have had a similar problem with hair loss which started last year around october. In Jan it reached a desperate stage and I saw a Dr. in Feb. He also prescribed ferrous sulphate. I then went to see a trichologist. Having taken the iron, I now have about 2 1/2 inches of new growth. It was only prescribed for 2 wks, but because it was doing so well, I continued with it. Everyone warned me about constipation, but I've had no problems. I suggest you try this fix, and instead, get help for your constipation.

hey,
just try washing your hair with water all the time. do not put any on, oil, shampoo or conditioner. at first u may not notice ne differece, but later ur hair should stop falling. it will take about a week to or two for your hair to get its natural oil back. and just keep washing to water. dont ever put any product in hair ever again. u will build a residue in your hair, but if use shampoo it will start falling again.
so just always thoroughly with water everyday. not shampoo, oil or conditioner.
then let it air dry, which is usually the best..

the fact is artificial product of any type cannot adjust to the scapl of some people. water, which the only thing poeple has washing their hair with for centuries always works.

but i am also crazy. but please try it,no shampoo or nething in ur scapl for a 2 weeks or so.. and tell me if any progress happened.

I am a 26 yrs old lady. I had severe hair fall since last 4 years. My scalp is visible. I am very scared if it is not cured my scalp will be more visible. It's a diffuse loss troughout the whole scalp. My parents have good hair. I had taken few homeo meds like Nat Mur-30, wesbeden, thuja, sepia, fluric acid. Nothing seemed to work. My hair is thin in thickness and looks very unhealthy and dry. Simply falls without any effort. Also I think worth mentioning that I have 2days of period at max 3 days.I am not sure is it less for a normal woman. I got married one yr back. I didnt have any child nor I am pregnant nor I use any anti pregnancy pills.
I want to tell one thing more that, i use minoxidil 2% for the last one and a half yrs.but it has shown not a remarkable improvement.Hairfall is still on its way.
I too have used before minoxidil, Arnica and jaborandi mixed with coconut oil given by a homeopath dr alongwith some med.(that i dont remember exactly what were those med) initially when my hairfall started back to 4yrs. But somehow i stopped using coz of my busy schedule. and started with alopathy. I have taken cal tab,vit tab, antioxidant tab,but nothing has helped me.

Can anybody suggest me a good shampoo that can be used. I now use ginvera, sometimes garnier fructis and sometimes audace antihairfall shampoo.

Plz help me as i am frustated with this hair loss. One more thing i have tested my thyroid 2 yrs back due to this hair fall it was normal.
