APIS M...insect stings, unknown life-threat swellings, anaphylatic shock.

ARSENICUM ALBUM...Can be restless or not, burning, 3am, delirium, in own world.

BELLADONNA...Hot and dry. not thirsty, wants to be covered up. In a stupor. Dry diaper.

BRYONIA...Irritable, don't touch me! headache. Motion worse. dry throat

CARBO VEG...stomach distress, poss diarrhea. Kicks covers off, wants to be faned.

GELSEMIUM...flu-like, "leave me alone with my blanket to sleep it off."

CHAMOMILLA..."can't be pleased child." crying, teething. Adult irritability and depression.

HEPAR SULPH CALC...chilly person, can't get warm. varity of emotions. greenish snot and messy nose. Mastoid.

hi Sabra,
thanks for the basic children's first remedies.
my son is 4yrs old. he is having a running nose and this problem is persisting for last 3months. took him to homeopaths and to allopaths also, in vain.because of this running nose, his nose gets blocked and he breaths thro' the mouth in the night.
liquid coming out of nose is very thin and not sticky.
added to that his teeth have cavities inspite of giving him warm salt water gargling after every meal and brushing too.he is 16kgs and he is almost 4ft.he is prone to colds and cough along with fever - once or twice every couple of months.
hope u can guide and help in this regard. also can u suggest something for him to push up his immunity levels.

Looks like merc might help here .
But to be thorough need to use in a sequence .
1st - Merc
2nd - Hep Sul
3rd - Silica.
Say merc 30 daily for a week
hep sul 30 daily for a week
wait a week
then use Silica 30 for a week .

Well, this doesn't fall into the common first remedies. Your child has many symptoms that seem to call for

MIMOSA HUMILIS 30C. Two doses per day, every other day for 3 times.

This is 2 every two days=six days and six doses total. Should take care of the teeth and mouth problems, including the sinus.

ABC should have this remedy. I have it.

Please let us know.

Blessings, Sabra

thanks Passkey and Sabra for ur guidance.
sorry for the delay in replying as i was searching for this Mimosa Humilis as suggested by Sabra, which is not available in local shops here in Bangalore, India.
i've started him on Merc as adviced by Passkey in the meanwhile. am still enquiring about Mimosa here.
thanks for the advice once again.

Mimosa Humilis = Mimosa Pudica

It is all over in Bangalore also called Chui Mui. A small plant, if you touch it, it retracts its leaves and branches. Or people say it gets shy if touched.

Make the juice of plant and put one drop of it in one liter mineral water.

my one month old boy has a rash. generally its red all over, especially when crying. lower limb, its small red spots smooth. rest of the body its small red pimples. now some are getting dry with yellow scales but new ones keep on flourishing. I have given Bell 30 which helped initially but then failed.

tjalal last decade
Tjalal, one must pay attention to the letters after the 30. Is it C? or X?

30X is far from 30C. So if it really is 30C, go lower to 30X. When something works and stops, a change in potency may be in order.

In addition, you gave us nothing about your child except his skin rash. Even at one month you can relate personality and feeding habits, and what is he eating? If formula, it could be that. If breast, something you are eating. He sounds much like allergy to milk, especially with the crying. When does he cry most? am/pm?
Tell us about your baby like you are showing baby pics.

Please let us know.

Blessings, Sabra

thanks for the help.

he is breast fed and mother has stopped eating an oriental recipe for pregnant women recently (panjiri .. if u know). rest, her diet is easy digesting foods, generally.

my son was born with good weight (3.9 kg), tall 52 cm, fair skin, very big eyes, they say he looks like me :). His responses have been exceptional since day 2. does like to be rapped in a sheet. his skin becomes deep red when he cries. body generally remains warm. hands are generally cold.

rash is most evident on the folds of the leg and genetalia and scotrum. here is small rash, but much bigger than the one on the rest of the body and deeper red. Anal region is smooth red. He had thrush in mouth but that is gone now. Mouth also remains red.

he cries when gets up from sleep generally (most of the children do). but then most of the time cries like crazy and gets worse if not carried. Cries an irritating cry and very very loudly. cries aggrevate generally at the end of evening and last till around midnight, rather till he sleeps.

There is only one thing that consoles him ..feeding. He like to feed rather too often, sometimes every 15-20 mins even after regular feed of 30-45 mins.

Feeding little and often points to Lycopodium

thanks passkey.

two more things I forgot

skin, esp on ears and a bit on forehead is drying. yellowish brown skin like sandy dead skin. gets off a bit when massaged with oil. overall skin is getting dry now.

offensive sweat.

tjalal last decade
Although there are other things covering offensive sweat
Lycopodium covers most of the things you mention.Suggest you go with it.
But you need to give it to the mother midway between feeds probably 30c [or 1M] , 3 doses at 24 hr intervals.

Tjalal, please follow Passkey's suggestions for now. I was thinking on lyc. also for the child. I will study further as I suspect he exibits more thrush than you are realizing.

Your description was very good. Please tell us if your wife had any thrush or rash or anything of this nature while carrying the child. Was she treated for anything while carrying by allopathic means? Thanks.

Blessings, Sabra

hi,
i am in need of some opinions on how to help my little guy. He is 3 months old and having quite the time of it. He is very cranky and restless and has a very hard time falling asleep and staying asleep. He had colic so i drastically changed my diet and that has eased up some. i eat only beef, spinach, potatoes, rice, carrots and lettuce. Anything else makes him much worse. He is fair skinned, greyish blue eyes, rosy cheeks with raised rash, two patches of eczema on his head: one on his forehead (leftside) and one in the upper left of the back of his head. His legs and arms and head get very restless when he is tired. Especially his head. He rubs his nose back and forth on my chest. He needs the aid of a vaccuum to fall asleep. He likes to swing in his car seat. That sometimes calms him. He is average size. He has prominent veins showing on his forehead. His restlessness seems to be worst around 3:00 am, though it's there all day. That's all that i can think of....thank you!

thanks all.

bell was given in 30C. Now I'm giving him sulphur 6C on another homeopath's advice. My father says I should go with giving
Sul 6C Morning
Calcarea Carb 30C Afternoon
Lyco Pod 30C Night

A bit confused now. Should I keep Sul 6C with Lyco 30C given to the mother between feeds? I have given 5 doses of Sul 6C till now. There is a bit of improvement.

tjalal last decade
Dear Navashira, There are several remedies that might be used:

Arsenicum Album, restless and a 3 am child. Quieter. Not very cranky.

Lycopodium, an evening increase in colic, or evening symptoms. Cranky in the evenings.

Bryonia, Several symptoms that fit, but the cranky makes me think of BRYONIA 30X. Bryonia is used when the symptoms are similiar, but the child is more cranky.

Chamomilla is used generally with teething, but more often for the child that "just can't be soothed." Not cranky, but miserable.

One dose each afternoon after lunch for two days. 2 doses only. The reason being that the skin condition may show changes we need to know about and there may be a change in remedies.

Please use only one remedy and report before another.

Please stop eating the potatoes and no wheat. Use sprouted breads. Health store. Many adults and children do not do well with potatoes.

Please report progress.

Blessings, Sabra

Dear Tjalal, There should have been more noticable improvement with the Sulphur, but it has "reset" the treatment. Now continue with the Lyc in afternoon, after lunch. Save the Sulphur for awhile.

Where did the Calc Carb come in? Too many remedies.

Were you able to get the Chui Mui?

Blessings, Sabra

sabra last decade
thanks for the help.

No I could not give Chui Mui yet.
