Bursting sensation: Phos(3), Sang.(1), Stront-C(1), Glon(3).

Adding this to previous 4 symptoms I repertorized on, Phos. and Glon. get a score of 8.

Stront-C and Sang. get 6.

Sameer.

head; congestion ; fullness; as if head would burst; am-c., aster., cann-i., daph., glon., ip., lil-t., merc., nit-ac.

Glonoine looks to be the indicated remedy, if you take the other symptoms too into account.

What potency did you try? For how long?

I agree, Glon. is indicated

However, if that has not worked, Phos. can also be looked at.

It has the upward rush of blood ,the bursting sensation, open air amelioration. However it does not have the afternoon aggravation.

Another medicine which scores on all symptoms is stront-c.

Dear sameer & murthy:

Though Golonine seems to be correct medicine but it did not help the patient I tried it first in 30th and thereafter 200 potency. Still one dose of glonine is giving but no further improvement. This I am giving him from the start of his treatment along with craetagus (10 drops daily one dose)
However, Phos. as sameer pointed out have not been tried by me.

But I agrain request you to reportrised the case in the light of ful history given by me in the earlier post.

Dr Mahfooz,

Phos. also scores on amelioration through cold drinks.

However, I would like to know more about the psychology of the person and his temperament.

Phos. has the characteristic bubbly effervescent temperament where there is openness or lack of boundaries.

Can you tell us more about how the person's behaviour/ temperament is ? Is he happy/sad/irritable ?

AMYLENUM NITROSUM
Amyl Nitrite
(AMYL NITROSUM)

Head.--Anxiety, as if something might happen; must have fresh air. Surging of blood to head and face; sensation as if blood would start through skin, with heat and redness. Flushings, followed by sweat at climacteric. Ears hyperæmic. Throbbing.

*Based on these symptoms I suggest the above medicine.
3. Head become hot and ears red.
4. Yest some time dizzyness and sensation head is going to brust.

Dear Dr.Mahfooz

Reperterisation can be attempted only when you get atleast a few characteristic symptoms.

Unfortunately the characterstic symptoms of the case on hand namely Hypertension;aggravation after eating and in the 3P.M to 6P.M. have no rubrics in the repertory.

So, we have to depend on the common symptoms only. Sameer's analysis is good, and may be you can try stront.c now because it is one of the head medicines for hypertension.

Keep Phosphorous as your second option.

I have Rehman at home which discusses about various other optins when the indicated remedy fails. I will come back in the evening on what he says about Glonoine';s collaterals.

Yes. Amyl nitrite is another possibility.

Thanks to all.

I have studied both the remedines STRONTIUM CARBONICUM and Amyl nitrite. I think that Amyl nitrite seems to be better choice to the patient in the available remedies with comparison to Golonine.
But still myself is not satisfied. Kindly keep throw light this topic for further evaluation it.

Dear Dr.Mahfooz

Sorry if I created some confusion. What I meant was the book

Encyclopedia of remedyrelationships in homeopathy by Dr.Abdur Rehman

This is the best book which discusses the collaterals along with the usual complimentaries, followers ,antidotes duration etc.

I think Dr.Abdur Rehman lives in Pakistan.

Dr. Mehfooz,

Lycopus V is indicated if the person also has pilesand bleeding there from alongwith High BP.

Person has frontal headache and pain in left shoulder.

If all these symptoms are present...then give Lycopus V in mother tincture form. Add to it in equal proportion Crateagus Q.

If you think Glon. is indicated...then you are using the wrong potency for High BP.

Go down to Glon. 6C ...two doses once a day for a 4 / 5 days...then make it once a day.

Ask the person to monitior the BP regularly.

Dear Dr. Mehfooz,

I have always noticed that Glon. works better in low potencies...rather than higher.

Some docs also recommend 3X to 12X potency.

Hi Doc,

WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Doc do you think that I could take this med - Lycopus Vir MT, as you know that I have piles(bleeding very rare), bloated abdomen, constipation at times and above all BP.

Had a severe setback a couple of days back even though my BP was 132.80 - severe giddiness, perspiration, chest congested like a weight on the chese with severe breathe oppression. Doctor said it was mild attack but my ECG showed normal. He gave a tab for reducing the thickness of blood for 7 days. It got over yesterday.
The day after the attack I took a dose of Sulphur 200. I have been planning to take Cratageus MT but was worried it would hamper my abs problem.

What could it be Doc?

Pls advise.

B Wishes

Mathew

dear Mathew,

If your symptoms match to this remedy then start it whithout any hesitation. However, craetagus a remarkable value you can take 5 drops of mother tinture for a long time also.

Feed back on the case:

I have tried the following medicines with the following protocol:

> Craetagus ( 10 drops on regular basis)
>> Lycopus-30 (at night one dose)
>>> Golonine 6 (thrice a day)

The patient is improving day by day.

I have also advised the patient to take ' Dalia of Jo ' (Crashed barley) in the morining which has also given the good results as well.
I hope and belive that he will be cured by the pessage of time.

I realy thankful to you all for helping me in this case.

Big Salutes to all colleagues and warm regards.

Dear Dr. Mahfooz,
I have been advocating this kind of co-operation (right from the start of this site in 2003 or so)...through which we help people even across seven seas.

I notice you have used some of my suggestions.

Speedy recovery to your patient.

Best wishes

Dr. Mahfooz: Since well indicated remedies are not effective, consider miasmatic treatment...

From the case history his mental disposition is not coming forth.

I am sure you may have looked at his daily routine, diet pattern, etc. Pranayama/ Yoga may help the patient.

Dear Dr.Pankaj Varma,
I really thanful for your keen interest and cooperation in this case. I shall update the case from time time.

Dr.srisri,
Could you please tell me that in which miasm the patient stands.

dr. mahfooz

Mahfoozurrehman last decade
Factors contributing to his hypertension:

- Heredity
- Age
- Gender (Males are more prone)
- Obesity?

Reg miasm, I am not able to conclude based on the info posted so far. His answers like 'good dreams' and 'blood rushes to head & ears' (for mental suffering) dont help much.

- What are his mentals?
- Did he have any kidney related problem?
- Is there any thickening or arteries?
- Any oedema esp around ankles?

From available info I think it is Syphilis miasm and we have to examine for Tubercular also.

He should show moderation in diet and avoid all aggravating foods.

Remedies wise, consider Amyl Nitrate too.

Reg miasm, I am not able to conclude based on the info posted so far. His answers like 'good dreams' and 'blood rushes to head & ears' (for mental suffering) dont help much.

- What are his mentals? postive think, good attitude,intellectual,symathic/cooperative to other
- Did he have any kidney related problem? Ok no problem
- Is there any thickening or arteries? No he has done EKo and that is normal, no cloting
- Any oedema esp around ankles? Yes when BP is high

From available info I think it is Syphilis miasm and we have to examine for Tubercular also. I too think so but Not clear in my mind

He should show moderation in diet and avoid all aggravating foods. He is very sensitive and preventive man

Remedies wise, consider Amyl Nitrate too. will try also.
