Urine retention
I had an enlarged prostate which was reduced using green light laser prostactomy. Post void urine left in the bladder before the operation was 850 - 950 ml. After operation once the post void urine came down to 275 ml but then again increased. The Dr did another minor operation in which he made cuts to dilate the urethra. After this the flow of urine was better but the residual urine still remained the same. Now the Dr is telling the bladder has distended and lost its elasticity so has advised intermittent catheterization three times a day for 3months. He says this will help the bladder to come back to its normal shape. Now after starting intermittent catheterization the normal urination has become very less. The flow of the urine when it happens is less strong than what it used to be.
Can someone please advice me on my condition.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
catheterization is a last resort and once the body is used to it, the natural ability goes down. Try to avoid it as much as you can.
Try with Arnica 200c first. 4 pellets as a dose, twice a day for three days and report back.
You may need other medicines too.

I have found R-25 ( a combination of dr. Reckeweg W.germany) very useful in these case but Arnica is also a valuable remedy.
