Sameer,
Since yesterday my son's right eye is kind of swollen in the inner corner (corner close to nose). at first it was like a hive, you know a swollen circle with redness around it. this morning he woke up with more puffs in the corner and the upper eyelid. the puffiness was really big. I have a homeopathic eyedrop and I put 2 drops in his eyes. It got better and the hive was completely gone until 1 hour ago. again there are 2 small hives at the corner and very red. please note that this is the same eye that sometimes it becomes watery as if the tear duct is blocked especially in cold weather. he is sleep now but if tomorrow morning I find the same puffiness condition what do you recommend me to do?

beth2006 last decade
Hi Beth,

It can be a return of old symptom, which does occur under the correct homeopathic remedy.

Please keep waiting, and I would recommend not even using the drops.

Keep Silicea 200c at hand.

Thank you soooooooooo much. I won't use drops and I will wait.

Hi Sameer,
There is still 2 more days togo for the waiting period but his sleeping condition is getting worse and worse. He gets up at 1, 3, and 5 am and in between sometimes he wakes up as well. everytime he wants me to hug him kiss him wipe his tears and it is not just one hug or one kiss. it has to be a few minutes. So I am getting disintegrated and totally exhausted. He still follows me around he house and sometimes even sitting beside my feet (like when I am doing the dishes). He doesn't play by himslef anymore. interestingly he is completely different when we are outside. when we go shopping I am the one who has to chase him as his curiosity leads him around the store. at libaray he doesn't care about me. he would even go to the librarian talks to her and you know. in one word he is has no problem in socializing. also he has a very good self-esteem. I mean he knows what he wants and he insists on it. but he can be very weeping at times especially when I don't cave in or when he can not make something with his legos (he alaso gets angry in this later case).
anyhow, I think maybe I can try phos, for him. What do you think?
if I have to wait can you please please recommend something for myself? I am taking vitamine and alfa alfa tablets but still I am very tired.

Thank you for your attention and your precious time.

beth2006 last decade
Please see my previous posting.
I forgot to mention 2 more things:
1. there are times that he wakes up and he doesn't cry he just says mommy come and I go and hug him ....
2. he goes to sleep with the light on and after he falls sleep I turn off the light but sometimes when he wakes up (mostly when he wakes around 5) he wants me to turn the light on again and then he would fall back to sleep.

Thank you

Hi Beth,

You can give him a dose of Silica 200c, just 1 teaspoon dose.

Report in 10 days.

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,
It has been 4 days since silica 200 for my son. There are a few concerns:
1. His sleep hasn't changed. still wakes up same as before.
2. He hasn't have a bowel movement for 3 days despite the fact that his diet is FULL of fiber. He pushed and strained afew time this morning but the result was just a really small very hard ball of stool. Could be a bashful stool???
3. in terms of mood he is a little bit different. I can't explain it clearly but for sure different. somehow less excitable.

Should I wait more?
Thank you very much
Beth

beth2006 last decade
Wait for atleast 2 weeks, Beth.

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,
It has been 3 weeks since silica 200 for my son. Here is the update:
1. he still wakes up at night usually around 3. besides he sleeps kind of restless, you know lots of tossing and turning.
2. no matter what time I put him in bed it takes at least 1 hour (sometimes 2 hours) for him to go to sleep. he would move and talk so that he can stays up. some nights he has a burst of energy exactly before going to bed. Long story short he falls sleep around 10 or 10:30. wakes up around 7:30 and naps for 2 hours from 1 to 3.
3. he coughs when he smells odors, it is almost with any odor (totally new for him). He also coughs from dust again totally new.
4. he still follows me, even when I am taking shower he would come and sit in the bathroom and I have to ask him to go and play by himself several times but every time it takes just 1 minute for him to come back.
5. his attention span becomes shorter, and he really doesn’t concentrate on what he is doing anymore.
6. many times he suddenly stares in the middle of playing
7. he craves ice cream a lot. No more cake, only ice cream.
8. in general he is less noisy, less excited and less excitable. Less sense of humor. Shorter attention span. His eyes are kind of different, less sparkles of joy, you know. Sometimes he has no interest in playing even when I offer him to play together. He would accept the offer but then he would just sit and watch me playing with the toys he won’t participate.
9. when he cries it is really hard to stop him, he used to be very easy to handle as for crying.
10. I have to wash his nose everyday because his nose has really big hard crusts (totally new for him) and sometimes when I remove them there is a tiny blood.
11. as for his interactions with others, he has changed since this silica 200. he scares when kids scream and he runs towards me eventhough they didn’t scream at him. He doesn’t play with them and he has become kind of passive. Completely different.
I am willing to wait more if there is no proving concern.

Thank you,
Beth

beth2006 last decade
Hi Sameer,
Please see my previous posting as well.
His mood and general attitude is better since 3 days ago but his sleep is horrible. he wakes up 3-4 times at night and he wants me to sleep beside him in his bed and hug him. sometimes he wakes up and without any crying he comes to our bed and sleep in our bed. his attention span is still very short as oppose to before. his bowle movemen t is not good either. he poops every 2-3 days. he becomes very dependant to his pacifier and sometimes he bites the tip of his fingers, or maybe nails, although he doesn't have long nails.
Can you please kindly let me know what I should do.
Thanks
Beth

Which potencies of Phosphorus has he had in the past ?

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,
It is good to hear from you.
He had phos 30 dry dose more than a year ago. and then he had phos 15 according to your instructions on Aug 08, 2009.
That's all.
Thank you
Beth

beth2006 last decade
Dissolve 1 pellet of Phos 30c in 500 ml spring water, and give him a teaspoon from there.

Sameer,
I have 2 quick questions. If you please spare a minute or two:
1. I gave my son the phos dose yesterday. tonight he had one choclate biscuit and half scoop choclate ice cream. He was having those with other kids in the class so there was no way I prevent him. Do they affect the remedy I gave him yesterday?

2. I had a very bad session with him tonight right before he goes to sleep. does that affect the action of the remedy?

Thanks

beth2006 last decade
1) no

2) no

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,
It has been 10 days that I gave my son phos 30c as instructed. for the first 2 nights he woke up only once per night and he slept pretty well. but then again he doesn't sleep through night, he wakes up at least twice sometimes 3 times. At nights his eyelids become so heavy that they will be closed automatically but then he tries hard to keep them open, meaning he really figths sleeping at nights (not nap time). a few things has changed about him though:
1. he doesn't request the light to be turned on when he wakes up during night which is good.
2. his bowel movement is better.
3. he doesn't cough as much as before. only sometimes at night his throat become really dry.
4. better attention span.
5. when I take him to classes if I want to go to bathroom I just let him know and he would continue playing until my return. but still after my return he wants me to be close to him.

Can you please let me know what you think about his condition?
I can be more specific about him if you think it is needed.

Thank you so much,
Beth

Hi Beth,

This is good progress.

Please wait for 1 more week.

Hi Sameer,
There are a few things that make me think of sulphur for my son. Can you please take a look at the followings and let me know what your professional thought is on these. I know the next remedy is probably phos 200 but I just don’t want to expose him to 200s very often. So I would like to make sure that we are on the right track. Please note that I am not complaining just trying to find the correct remedy.

1. recently he has become a messy kid. Sometimes it is like we have a tornado in our house. He doesn’t clean up anymore. Even when I offer help he would just watch me cleaning up and when I insist he would just pick an item and reluctantly put it in its box.
2. he sleeps well until around 1 am but then he catnaps until morning.
3. no matter what time I put him in bed and no matter how much he gets tired he just have a burst of energy before sleeping.
4. he has become kind of self determined and he wants to do everything in his way and he would do only things that HE wants to do not those we ask him to do. He also would like to do his own chores. You know like he wants to wash and dress himself. Even in his classes he doesn’t follow the teacher and he has his own way of playing at classes.
5. he throws off his blanket completely so I will wait until he completely goes to sleep and then I put the blanket on him. Even though he tries to stick his feet (or at least one foot) out.
6. if another kid would come and take what he is playing with, he would be upset but then he would go and find something else happily. He would gather all the toys (let say we are in another place not home) even if he doesn’t want to play with those and wants me to keep them then he would play with one or two.
7. sometimes he breaks the rules but not always. There are times that he would ask for permission usually for eating something.
8. there are times that he would bite his nails.

The above mentioned are kind of new for him. At the same time there are other features of him that are not necessarily indicating sulphur (at least not to my knowledge).

1. he is extremely curious. Asks a lot of questions of how? Why? Tries to figure out how something works and he wants to try all tools ….
2. he has good sense of humor
3. looks like that he has some blood sugar fluctuation. Because sometimes (maybe twice per week) he would ask for honey right after his super)
4. he makes friends easily.
5. sometimes he is shy when he meets someone for the first time.
6. exactly before bowel movement he becomes very gentle and very snuglish but then immediately after his bowel movement he is changed into a jumpy noisy messy kid.

At the end I have to mention that he still wakes up at least twice at night sometimes even 3-4 times. He doesn’t cry maybe once but the rest of the times he just wants me to hug him or just sit there until he goes back to sleep.

beth2006 last decade
Hi Beth,

So, the symptoms are:

1)Obstinacy and Independence
2)Disturbed sleep after 1 am
3)Messy
4)Desire to uncover feet at night
5)Bites nails
6)Curious (good thing)
7)Bowel movement aggravates his behaviour ?

sameervermani last decade
yes, absolutely. right now it is about 10 pm here and he has been in his bed since 8:30 and still he is fighting. I was sitting besides him until now. my husband just got the shift. he had his nap from 1 til 2:15 so he should be tired by 8:30 and he is. you should see his eyes.
anyhow, the only thing that I would like to add is that I am the only person that he would afraid and as a result obey if I raise my voice. I believe this is because of his past experiences with me. but I am trying my best not to act like before any more.

Hi Sameer,
do you need more info from my side?
Beth

beth2006 last decade
I think I have the information.

I just havent got the time yet, to analyze this.

Will get back to you over the next 2-3 days.

Sameer,
Can you please add this to your list of symptoms for my son:
it takes 2 hours for him to fall sleep. he tosses and turns, kicks the blanket, singing, doing everything he can so that he won't fall sleep.

beth2006 last decade
Hi Beth,

You can give a single dose of Sulphur 30c, just 1 teaspoon dose.

Report in 5-6 days.

Sameer

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,
it has been 6 days since sulphur 30. my son still wakes up once or twice and asks for hug and he wants me to hug him for like 2 minutes. he doesn't cry he just called me and sit in his bed waiting for me to go to his room. sometimes around 5 or 6 in the morning he would come to our bed . sometimes he grinds his teeth during sleep. about fighting with sleep, he still does it but apparently there are nights that he won't be able to continue fighting and falls sleep in like 30 minutes.
he has had a very mild cold since 3 days ago and he is definitely better today. lots of green crusts came out of his nose during the past 3 days. looks like the nose is clear (very good). and the right eye was so full of tear (remember blocked duct) but now there is no symptom.
the most important problem right now is his bowel movement. he has it every 2-3 days and the amount of stool is so much, the stool is large and kind of hard. as a result he afraid of bowel movement. for example today he tries it 5-6 times (in different positions: sitting on his potty, with diapers on, with just pants on and no diapers). every time the urge comes naturally and then he pushed and then he hold it back. sometimes he would move intentionally so that he can't poop.
can we choose a remedy without paying attention to his characteristics (as some of them have changed)?
Thank you so much,
Beth
