5 yr old son with trouble sleeping

My middle child is 5 yrs old and seems to have trouble sleeping (his bedtime is 8:30 and has been the same since age 2). He has been afraid of the dark from birth. (was 4 wks premature) and he has asthma. Also not sure if he can be classified with ADHD.
