7 year old with ADHD and I need help!My 7 year old son has been diaganosed with ADHD at the age of 4. I had him on 2 different medications when he was 6. He was taking Clonadine and Rhesperdal. He was doing well in school the whole year. But then I started noticing that he wasn't outgoing and funny like he always has been. I also noticed that he started having a severe twitch in his right arm. I did some research on the medications and I was appaled! I could not believe that I had him taking these harmful medications! I was so stupid and naive! He is not taking that medication now but I have started giving him herbal medications. He has been taking 'Passion Flower' and 'Focus Attention' but to no avail, it is not working. I am getting bad reports from his teacher everyday and she calls once a week. They want me to put him back on medcication but I refuse to. I am going to see about getting him transferedout of her class but I know the problems will still exist. I ordered something called 'Bright Spark' that I started him on today. I really don't know what else to do. I found this website called '3 Steps To Conquering ADD/ADHD'. They offer a book and I have ordred it today. On the website it says that you do not have to give your child medication at all to deal with ADD/ADHD. I am at my wits end at this point! I am willing to try anything! I just want his teacher to see that he is a good, bright, caring, sweet, intelligent, funny boy that he is without bogging him down with drugs! PLease, if anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them. Thank you so very much! Jodi
