This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
First try with taking 5 drops of Spiritus Glandium Quercus Q in half cup of water morning and evening for a couple of weeks.

Alternatively, if the above doesn't help, use Sulphuric acid Q in the same way for a week.

Maheeru has suggested you broadband remedies for alcoholism. Please try the remedies suggested by him.
Later the following Bach flower remedies may also be tried. These should help. These should be taken thrice a day.
1. Clematis
2. Cherry Plum
3. Crab Apple
One dose is
Keep 3 pills of each remedy in mouth until dissolved or
take 2 drops of each remedy in some 30 ml water. Sip up water slowly.

Bach Flower Remedies are available at homeo stores.

Please read my posts on the breathing exercises called as Anulom Vilom Pranayam and Kapalbhati Pranayam by following the links given below. One who practises these pranayams regularly for half an hour early in the morning acquires mental strength to quit addiction.

A homeo remedy specific to this case can also be suggested.
A homeo remedy is suggested on the basis of totality of symptoms and it works as a stimulation to vital force. Cure is effected if the remedy is able to stimulate vital force.
If you are ready to provide all your details a remedy that covers all your symptoms may be worked out for you. For doing that you should copy the first questionnaire from the following thread and paste all questions here duly answered. Please note that the effectiveness of remedy selection depends on the quality of details you provide. Please note that mental symptoms are very significant for arriving at a remedy.

Dear Kadwa

The suggestions found in earlier post are not broadband remedies :). They are near specifics and are classical gems coming from master Homeopaths Burnett and Hering respectively.

There have been discussions about this in the past in the following links.

Dear Maheeru

i would define a A broadband remedy as a remedy that works irrespective of the following
1. detailed mental symptoms
2. detailed physical symptoms
3. modalities
4. causative factors

So by this definition the following remedies/methods are broadband.

1. the method suggested by you
2. pranayam
3. bio-chemics // nothing is suggested here
4. flower remedies

Similarly i have never said that broadband methods/remedies are less effective than homeo remedies. i have always read all your suggestions with great interest and i do remember a thread where Murthy asks you what is Sulphuric Acid Q? Is is it raw sulphuric acid? That perculiar question had made that thread memorable for me.

With Highest Regards.

Dear Maheeru

One quick question, whether this method works against gutkha addiction?

kadwa last decade
Dear Kadwa

:) Thanks for explaining your reasoning behind broadbased. And also thanks for the kind words.

I've not come across anecdotes supporting usage of Sulphuric acid for Gutkha addiction. But there's no harm in trying out.

Since Gutkha is a combination of tobacco, betel etc, caladium, tabacum, plantago may be considered to remove the craving. Alternatively tautopathic approach i.e preparing low dilutions of the substance to be de-addicted, would be certainly useful. I've found success with cigarette smoke in a water bottle succussed(this remedy is called Tabacum Fumar-- a tip from Francisco Eizayaga, famous argentinian Homeopath), so gutkha may also be employed in a similar way.

maheeru last decade
Hi Maheeru

How to mix smoke with water and how many times to succusse. Whether it can be done by anybody or it needs some special equipements.

Thanks.

Dear Kadwa

Not much sophistication is required here. The addict on his/her own can prepare this.

First step is to take a water bottle(250 to 400 ml). Three fourths of the bottle(approx. 75%) should be filled with water, and one fourth should be empty. Now the addict has to light up his/her favourite cigarette and has to blow the smoke in to the bottle. Then cover the bottle immediately, and shake it hard 10 times up and down.

The next step is to pour out one ninths(90%) of the contents from the water bottle and refill the bottle(with fresh water) to previous level i.e three-fourths or 75% of the bottle. Then shake it again for 10 times.

Third step is: Repeat the step 2.... the cycle for 6 times.

Now the remedy or wet dose inside the bottle, Tabacum Fumar, approximately equivalent to strength 6x, is ready.

So whenever the addict feels like lighting up a cigarette he/she has to take a swig(a dose) from this bottle.

Dear Maheeru

Wonderful !!!

i thought that only Dr. Mountson (aka girilal) can give such ideas. i am so happy to know this great stuff. Many thanks to you.

Now another question....

Whether alcohol can be used instead of water and if yes, whether globules can be medicated with such alcohol(which is a potentised remedy at the end of the procedure).

Or there is some other procedure like adding sufficient alcohol to the remedy that is ready (where water is used as you explained) so that it can be preserved for a long time...or...it can be used for medicating globules.

Thanks again.

kadwa last decade
Dear Kadwa

You're welcome. Yes I know about innovative streak and humorous element in girilal alias Pramod Wadhwa, but since when he got Dr. Mountson title?

The above procedure is informal one and can be done within one's own convenience or for very close ones. Otherwise it's better to stick with official remedies as they confirm to CGMP(Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and other essential legal/pharma regulations.

For the remedy prepared in water bottle, yes a drop of alcohol can be added to preserve it but its not mandatory. And another alternative for those who don't like alcohol is one drop of Vinegar. But in most cases if one takes precautions like keeping the water bottle away from sunlight or in refrigerator it'd be fine without any algae formation.

Q: Whether alcohol can be used instead of water and if yes, whether globules can be medicated with such alcohol(which is a potentised remedy at the end of the procedure).

In brief without going into detailed process of Mother tincture preparation and further on potency preparation, answer is yes alcohol or Pure distilled water or de-ionised water can be used for homeopathic medicine preparation according to Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia standards. Yes the remedy prepared can be used to medicate globules/pills.

Dear Maheeru

Thanks for your reply!!!

...Yes I know about innovative streak and humorous element in girilal alias Pramod Wadhwa, but since when he got Dr. Mountson title?

i am so much impressed by threads started by him that i wanted to do something for him. But what a humble id like me do for an accomplished id like girilal? So i have given him a title Dr. Mountson. i know that he is an engineer...

I started a hard core drinker (drunk with local liquor toddy most evenings - his wife says he has been drinking for the past 25 years or so) Spiritus Glandium Quercus as suggested here by Maheeru sir. He is also complaining of pain in the right side of stomach. Is there any remedy that I can give? Thanks for the help.

sujisuji last decade
Suji

Does he continue to have pain?

Since how long has he been suffering from the stomach pain?

Any other details?

maheeru last decade
Hi Sir,
Thank you so much. His wife says the pain started recently (probably three weeks ago), he is a painter, so every day after his job, he gets drunk fully - to the level of inability to walk - before going to his house.

sujisuji last decade
Whether the pain started after Spiritus Glandium or before?

maheeru last decade
Sir, I will check with her and tell you tomorrow or day after. Thanks again.

Hi Sir,
I could finally get in touch with this person. She says he had the pain before he started the Spiritus glandium and is feeling better now, but continues to drink, but the two weeks on this medicine is not yet complete.

sujisuji last decade
Sujisuji

Ok. He can continue the protocol for a few more weeks.
