Pls help - constitution of 6 m old baby Page 2 of 3

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
My Mother-in -law had not been keeping well for sometime now - digestive disorders, headaches etc. Yesterday, all of a sudden her ECG shows her heart working only 20%. Has now been placed on bed-rest with medication, to be followed with angiography to determine future course of action.

This has come as a shock to us. Can Homeopathy help her. I came across the foll medicines on this forum/ net:

CRATAEGUS OXYACANTHA - Q ARJUNA - Q (my mother has recommended arjuna in the ayurvedic form, which is better?)
STROPHANTHUS HISPIDUS
COMMIPHORA MUKUL.

what do you suggest, Pls help. DO you want to start a different thread for this?

Indu04 last decade
yeah, a different thread with all the details would be required.

Sure Dr Rishimba, would commence a separate.

As regards myself..heaviness in the head and blocked ear has cleared, but cold is yet to cure fully ..Would keep you updated. I'm inclined to think if Nat Mur would do the job?

Thanks as always for your advice..

Pulsatilla 200C as suggested by you has helped..allergy on my finger is fully gone now...thanks a lot for you advice.

But pls help my baby ...for the last 4 night (but the last one) she was getting up every 60-90mins. Finally yesterda gave her CINA before going to bed, she was up every 2hrs...Dr Rishimba will she ever sleep well? I am longing to get a good night sleep.

she is soon going to be 8 months and so far has not cut any teeth. WAs sitting by 4 and half months, but doesnot crawl as yet. She loves to stand up now..(stools are ok, she does seem slightly constipated)

Pls advice...

Indu04 last decade
please try CALC CARB 30C one dose every 12 hours, but just 3 doses.

stop the other remedies also.

rishimba last decade
Since I have already given her CINA for two days, how long do I have to wait before I can give her calc carb?

Indu04 last decade
a gap of 2 days is good enough..

rishimba last decade
I gave her Calc Carb 30 as suggested by you and it coincided before bedtime for two days, she slept well the days I gave her (waking up 2-3 times but went to sleep pretty fast)...yesterday I did not give her the medicine, she didnot sleep well the second half and woke up every hour..

Pls advise, how often calc carb be given. Also do you suggest sleep training (I have been avoiding to do it as I donot believe in it)..

Thanks as always for our help..

Just some more details if it helps.
..was a vaccum delivery.By the time I was wheeled into the delivery room, contractions were very feeble (I had dilated pretty fast as had taken caullophyllum but doctor was refusing to check because just two hours I had not even begun to dilate..resultedly we were late by the time we reached the delivery room).
...my daughter has never regurgled milk,
.. is very afraid of any noise like grinder, pressure cooker, vaccum cleanrer etc
...couldnot do without a pacifier in early months (have never given her a pacifier, she uses me as a pacifier). Even now when she wakes up, this is what puts her back to sleep.
..apart from pacifier loves being rocked to sleep.
..has a strong stranger anxiety.
..don't remember her ever sleep longer than 3 hrs at a stretch..

you can give calc carb if its helping her. the problem of repeated dosing comes when the remedy doesnt produce a response and either the person starts proving it after some days or his sensitivity to potencies decreases. in this case, you can give her one dose every other day and see the response.

incase the symptoms are coming back, give one dose of 200c.

sleep training is definitely good. ofcourse some infants sleep during the day and are awake at night. such infants have to be gradually sleep trained or else mothers have a problem.

Dear Dr. Rishimba, I gave my daughter just one more dose after last message exchange. There has been a definite improvement esp. in the first half; she wakes up between 2-3 hrs (& over the past few nights has not woken up before 2 hrs).

I had taken pulsatilla 200c as you had advised about 7-9 days ago..now there is no runny nose but my head is heavy as I wake up in the morning (feels stuffed from inside due to cold), also have yellowish discharge from the eyes in the morning, off & on the right ear keeps getting blocked..pls advise. Time for another dose of 200c?

Indu04 last decade
you should go for pulsatilla 1M one dose.

For the last two days now, my daughter has been having 7-8 BMs a day..are semi-solid and very mucoid, smelly like rotten eggs..gen passed after she has milk , she even had a BM at midnight yesterday - something that last happened when she was 3 months old..can this be teething? There is no noticable swelling/redness in her gums. Overall though there has been improvement in the last few days..yesterday for the first time she had a 5 hour stretch at night, her appetite has been slowing improving (now has 5 ounces of milk in one feed against 3-4 earlier). Haven't had any medication (apart from Bio21) since she had Calc Carb. Pls advise.

For me - hasn't been any improvement with Pulsatilla 1M. For the last two days area around the nose and eyes feels heavy, feel very drowsy and feverish. though no runny nose, cough is tricking down the throat from behind the nostrils.

Dr Rishimba, my daughter had third day of over 8 bowel movements, is having them during sleep as well..continue to be very mucoid and smelly. Pls advise. Is waking up at night crying as if in pain...

Indu04 last decade
you may try NUX VOM 12C every 4 hours for some 4 to 6 doses and note changes.

rishimba last decade
I had Nux Vomica 30c..given her deteriorating condition (yesterday night itself she had 4 motions) had no time to wait, hence I gave her 30c once in the morning and afternoon. I also gave her Vit B + Lactobacillus syrup. She has been passing foul smelling gas, but had only two motions..somewhat formed but with frothiness, smelly.

However baby felt so much better, had unbroken day naps, was very cheerful after a long time...

Do I need to give Nux again at night. Also how often t'row.

Thanks for your help Dr. Rishimba, she felt a lot better today. but what do you think is causing repeated stomach upsets? I have sent for a stool test today, results would come t'row.

Indu04 last decade
if she is teething, maybe she is trying to bite things to overcome the irritation in her gums...

you can continue nux 30c one dose at night for some more nights.

rishimba last decade
Dr. Rishimba, My daughter is teething..cd see two wedges in the gums...she is not really biting on to anything though..grinding gums once a while.
Though frequency of stools have reduced (earlier so frequent, she developed rash because of it) they are still 3-4 a day and once in the night, she is very gassy though. Pls suggest something to relieve her gas discomfort.
Can i give her another dose of calc carb?

Indu04 last decade
would you want to suggest something to relieve her gassy discomfort.
Her stool report was normal.

Indu04 last decade
try lycopodium 12c every four hours for 2 days.

rishimba last decade
Thanks, have given her Lyco and would keep you updated. She had started sleeping so much better and for the last 2 nights we are back to where we started from because of her upset stomach :)

Request you to pls also suggest me a remedy. I have been running a low grade temperature (100C)for the last 4-5 days, pain behind the ears, frontal heaviness..Runny nose completely stopped after Pulsatilla, leaving this heaviness and resulted fever as cough is not coming out now. when it does, it is white in colour. Pulsatilla is my constitutional med but need something more to clear this perhaps. have been taking Fer phos 6x but fever is there..

Indu04 last decade
Dr Rishimba, wanted to thank you for your advice. My daughter has greatly benefitted. She continues to exhibit classic teething symptoms (has low temp etc). I end up giving her Calc carb whenever she is more pain or sleep is disbured (about once in 5-6 days). Hope this is fine.
Regards

Indu04 last decade
yes, that fine, if she benifits from it.

rishimba last decade
Sir, just wanted to keep you posted of the progress and also seek advice. My daughter's cradle cap has completely gone away. Over the last month, she has exhibited a great deal of physical improvements also..is almost crawling and also tries to pull herself into standing position. (Earlier would not even attempt to do it).
She has been having light green mucoid stools the whole day today. Do I need to give her something? Pls advise.
Would like to inform you, had given her calc carb thrice in the last 8-10 days, the day it is given she sleeps well else keeps waking up every hour after 2a.m. (earlier one dose used to last her atleast a week)..Am giving her 30c. DO I need to change the potency?

Indu04 last decade
Sir, her stools have improved today (by itself). For her sleep, do you think I should try Belladona now..this is because (after 2 a.m) she doesnot really wake up but scream/ cry / toss & turn and would be comforted by patting alone. Thus she sleeps back within 2 mins. However this happens every hour by the clock!

Indu04 last decade
Sir, I hope you would reply to this post..
As soon as I finished writing my previous post, she had frequent watery stools which continued the next day. Given that she was refusing to eat for previous two days, I gave her Pulsatilla. She slept well that night (waking after 4 hrs or so) and she also started having solids. Stools though not fully formed and not watery either.

Yesterday night (since didnot give her any medicine) she again had disturbed sleep after 2 a.m. This time only patting didn't help and she needed comfort sucking.

DO I give her Puls at night for 1-2 days or calc carb. Pls advise.

Kind Regards
