I took the last dose of pulsatilla today. From the first dose I saw improvement, but still not totally well.
Still a lot of yellow nasal discharge, especially from right side. Ear on that side occasionally blocked. Sense of taste has returned, but smell not that strong.
I start the day off feeling ok, but as it progresses sinuses start to hurt. Headache is still pretty strong and annoying at times.
What do you suggest I do? Do you think one last dose of pulsatilla would help? Should I start taking the salts again?

Please don't take any more doses of Pulsatilla 200c if you have already taken 4 doses. You may start taking tissue salts. Please wait for some 3-4 days and if the problem is not solved by then, please come with the following information.

Dr, problem unfortunately is persisiting. At the moment facial pain is horrible, I can't stand it.
I start the day of feeling very well, pain only limited when I apply pressure above the eye. I feel positive that I'm better, but as the day progresses it's awful. I need painkillers. I tried to get a hold of my homeopath, but can't find him.
Mental symptoms: I'm generally an optimistic person. My pregnancy brings me joy (already have 2 kids).I'm feeling fine, only when I start to hurt and the problem doesn't go away, I feel like panicing. I don't know what to do. I start thinking of complications that might occur and I get scared. The whole situation makes me feel hopeless.
The pain is located on my right side, at times very strong, especially above the eye. From that nostril I have a lot of soft-watery greenish discharge, even when watery still coloured yellow-green. Other nostril is clear. I'm thinking that maybe blowing my nose aggravates it even more, but discharge builds up.
Thermal preference: I usually like cold dry air. At night i get warm, never cover legs. These days with the sinus pain, I seek warmth on face and humidity, because the dryness hurts.
Sorry, I don't know what is meant by time modalities.
No thirst for cold drinks or hot drinks either. Thirst for water at room temperature and juices. I have been trying to keep well hydrated.
Bowel movements: Once or twice daily. Very regular, usually in the morning. Stool usually soft. No apparent changes these days, maybe a little lighter in colour? I'm not sure.

Please take three doses of Nux Vomica 200c at a gap of 4 hours for only one day (not daily) and report back after 7 days.

My homeopath contacted me after 2 days ( he goes on trips very often and it's difficult to get a hold of him). He suggested I take one pill kali bich 1M and if some symptoms persist after 2 days to take another 4 doses of pulsatilla 200.
What do you think about the 1M? Is it a potency that's recommended during pregnancy?? He insists it's safe.

...we get Kali Bich as the remedy for your symptoms. There are other remedies also but kali bich seems well indicated on the basis of totality of your symptoms.
i earlier thought that you were proving kali bich as you took it instead of taking Puls. So i asked you to take puls to antidote it. i suggested Nux as your mentals and thermals matched Nux and it also follows well and antidotes Puls.
But it is better to follow your homeopath's suggestion if Nux didn't work. There is no harm in taking the indicated remedy in high potency (1 M) during pregnancy.

Sorry I did not reply with my progress. I was out of town for the Easter holidays.
After taking the Kali bich 1M I saw great improvement. The acute sinusitis subsided. I was feeling fine from even the following day. There was no need to take puls as my dr had advised, in case the problem still persisted.
I would like to thank you for all your help and advise.
2 weeks later and I'm quite well. I have had quite a runny nose for the past days, with clear nasal discharge. It sometimes becomes blocked. I had a sore throat but it subsided. I'm not sure if it's a cold or my allergies.
As you can see the upper respiratory problems won't leave me alone!! Tissues have become my best friend, haha!!

Want to know appropriate Homeopathic medications,and their potency & dosages.So please suggest what you know has worked effectively.
-Primary concerns: Post-Nasal Drip, frothy phlegm ,1/4th tea spoon,at least 4to5 times a day.
-Symptoms:
1.
Nose breathing gets partially blocked. during night, I use water as a nasal spray, about 2 hrs before going to bed. I also use Indian make Taila (oil) for Pancehdriya,as a spray.
If I get up at night again, repeat nasal spray with water and some times oil spray.
2.
spitting out mucus from the back of my throat. which comes out as a frothy mucus, whitish colour. The mucus is translucent/off white in color. This is all day and night. everyday, for the past 30years of my life.
3.No coating of tongue or HALITOSIS
Additional Information:
-I am 81 yr young, in excellent health, very fit
Not Allergic ,mostly, to any thing.
-Travel extensively in Texas, Nebraska, Australia (Melbourne),India -Pune
Mumbai. Symptoms from last 30 or more years. no breathless ness
-ENT Surgeon proposed Nasal sinusitis surgery, but I have decided not to undergo same.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

In the mean while, my complete symptoms including history in full details were examined by a homeopath MD in India, through my friend in India had suggested as follows:
There seems to be a need for structure and organization as a personality type and that indicates a mineral
remedy.
The aspects of high performance while at work indicates a heavy metal.
The main remedy that emerges is Aurum Met(Gold) which is also a very good cardio-vascular remedy and
covers hypertension and cholesterol related issues. Fondness for all kinds of music and a need for social
responsibility is also covered by it.
But there is also the arsenic alb part to the case with the need for being fastidious and wanting things in
their place. Arsenic covers the bronchitis element and also the ribbed finger nails.
So the remedy I would propose for you is-
Aurum Arsenicosum 200C.
You should order it from a reliable pharmacy and take 4 pills once a day for 7 days only.

i follow the approach of symptom similarity in making remedy suggestions. i make suggestions on the basis of totality of symptoms. i do believe that all prescriptions in homeopathy have some element of subjectivity and it is just impossible to prescribe by consensus.
i do not agree with the following statements made by your homeopath.
1. The aspects of high performance while at work indicates a heavy metal.
Sulphur and Nux Vomica work for such people and these are not heavy metals.
2. The main remedy that emerges is Aurum Met(Gold) which is also a very good cardio-vascular remedy and covers hypertension and cholesterol related issues.
The guiding symptom of Aurum Met is disgust of life. The remedy will work for the symptoms listed in the MM only if it matches totality of symptoms.
3. But there is also the arsenic alb part to the case with the need for being fastidious and wanting things in their place. Arsenic covers the bronchitis element and also the ribbed finger nails.
So the remedy I would propose for you is- Aurum Arsenicosum 200C.
This is a very simplistic analysis and there are huge concerns about such things really working.
