Floaters
Hi, I am looking for advise on a homeopathic remedy for floaters. I have a gum and sinus infection on the left side and have felt some burning and stinging in my left eye. Last Sunday I suddenly got grey/black wispy floaters that are in circle formations with a lot of small black dots all over. They are fixed and move when I move my eye. There are peripheral light flashes and pressure behind my eyes, in sinus and ears. My eyes are not red. I have had a sore throat for years. Get itchy ears from dairy and sweets that goes away with anti-fungal herbs. I can see the floaters all the time even when I close my eyes. I had an eye infection when I was 25 and got two smaller floaters then but they have faded and I very rarely see them even if I look for them.I am craving warmth right now but can get over heated easily. I like fresh air.
I am tall and small bonedand a brunette with brown eyes. I have translucent skin. Am a more nervous and sensitive type, but have grown much more confident with age. Loving but need alone time too. I tend to by untidy and love studying. I did respond to phosphorus for a skin rash many years ago and was told I was a phosphorus type, but I do like thunderstorms very much. Any help would be very much appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Phosphorus 200c at a gap of 4 hours for only one day (not daily) and report back after 15 days.
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

I am an acupuncturist and herbalist, so I know what I am doing, but I have never treated floaters before. I have tremendous respect for homeopathy and have seen it work like magic. From your experience have you heard that people's floaters diminish considerably or clear up with homeopathy? Thank you so much for your time.

You can continue with the herbs. There is no point in having an experience of successful treatment coz the remedy differs from person to person. In your case it seems that Phos will work.

I see floaters in my right eye and I also see flashes in the right corner on the eye.I feel that floaters and flashes in eye were caused by flowmax (alpha blocker) that I have used for about 5 years.

Hi Shasif, I am sorry to hear about your eye. Do you still take your medication?
If so I would discuss this with your doctor. I looked the medicine up and eye disturbances did come up as a side effect. And you probably had your eye checked out anyway.
Dr Kadwa on this site as you can see recommended Phosphorus 200c for me.
Because I have not been able to find any homeopathic toothpaste without the nano titanium in it yet, I decided in the meantime to start with the phosphorus 6x. That can be taken frequently whereas the 200c only for one day. Because the mint toothpaste can neutralize the remedy.
Anyway the 6x seems to be working already. I started it yesterday and the clouds look less dense and there is a clear area in the middle with no spots.
Before it was all spots.
Before I took the Phos 6x, I started herbs for infection and that was helping too. A dark cloud on the upper left side had lightened about 90%. But I think the phos 6x is working more quickly.
But as you know with homeopathy, one remedy does not fit all for a symptom.
I am sure Dr Kadwa will do an analysis for you as he did for me.
I also started blending a drink with goji berries, fresh chervil,
fresh dandelion leaves, parsley, half a lemon and peel too, one orange, one apple, 2 dates, celery, carrot, & a little ginger to help digest, with water. All organic of course. This might be helping too.
Definitely if you have been on a drug for years you would need to GENTLY detox your liver and kidneys, while making sure your bowels are working well. Triphala helps the bowels and the eyes too.
Good luck and please let me know what Dr Kadwa recommends for you and how you do.

Thanks. While I wait for Dr Kadwa, I want to share with you that I have taken sulphur, phosphorus, naphthaline, psysostigma, calcium carbonicum in the past. But probably not in a proper potency or ina manner that homeopathy should be taken. I did self medication. Presently I am using Trusopt, drops twice daily for glaucoma, and tear naturale for dry eyes. I also take calc flour 12X.

I find that when I take the phos 6x every 1/2 hour a few times the floaters progressively get better. Mine is an acute condition, because it only happened on Sunday, so that might be a factor there.
But it has improved even more than earlier today. I can now look at my hand or my face in the mirror in a bright light and see much clearer. Also when I focus in on the floaters they look much lighter and more diffuse.
Do you know what your constitutional remedy is? I have heard that taking that can strengthen your whole system and then sometimes one has to go through a series of remedies like peeling an onion.
You also might want to try something called radionics. I studied that in England. With that one can find homeopathic remedies by resonance and not by symptoms.
I have seen it also work extremely well for complicated conditions.
It might be worth checking around to see if you could find a good practitioner.

Similarly you also feel that your floaters are due to the side effects of allopathic medication. Therefore i recommended Nux Vomica. Nux antidotes ill effects of allopathic medication and not the medication itself. You may continue with your medication from next day onward. 200 and 200c are same.

**One should never stop allopathic medication for maintained diseases like Blood Pressure and Diabetes. i am talking about the homeo medication in my earlier post when i said that you may continue with your medication from next day onward.
There is another point that i would like to make. R 25 contains Puls that will antidote Nux.
So instead of starting R 25 from next day onward you may switch to Joepathy and start Arnica 30c in the wet dose.

I will switch to Arnica 30, 10 drops, 3 times a day from Tuesday onward. In addition, I will take the other homeopathic medicines, that is:
1. Crategus Q 15 drops twice a day
2. Syzegium Jumbolanum Q 1X, 6 drops thrice a day.
3. R-23 once a day.
4. AS NEEDED: Lycopodium 1M (for hernia), Conium 200 (for staggering & light headedness)and Canthris 200 burning in urine)and Thuja Q (for shower/forked urine).
5. I, understand that medicine in potency 200, you have take it only once a day and in 30, you take thrice a day.
6. Pse tell me that when should I restart R-25 because it seems to have done good to my prostrate problem OR will Arnica be good enough.
7. Is there a remedy that can reduce the size/inflammation of prostrate.

Please don't take R 23. It contains both Rhus Tox and Apis that are inimical.
You may take Nux Vomica 200c only once or thrice a day. Thrice a day for one day actually acts as only one dose.
Dr. Mahfooz who is one of the senior prescribers here found Arnica more effective than R 25. This is his personal experience. So you should give Arnica 30c in wet dose a fair chance.
i think that Nux can also help you in your prostrate problem as it seems to be indicated in your case.

The Wet dose of Arnica 30c is made and administered as follows (Joe De Livera):
Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you take a capful which is the dose. Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before a capful of the bottle is sipped as directed.
I am told, its better to take drops in lukewarm water. Is that right?

Following you instructions I went to super store and asked fro spring water. He gave me Perrier (Natural mineral water fortified with gas from the spring).

Is this a permanent restriction as long as I am taking homeopathic medicines?

It is better to avoid vicks vaporub and similar things. Mild perfume is ok. These restrictions apply during the whole treatment period.
