Gradual Weight Gain

I have always been a naturally thin person. Relatively active but not one to have a regular exercise program. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease and placed on Synthroid. I am told that my thyroid levels are not 'normal', but ever since I started taking the meds I have started packing on the pounds. In 2 years I have gained 15 pounds. The response that I am getting is that....'It usually happens with age and is not likely related to the medication'. I have a naturally heavy family and I have always been thin. Now at 37 I am concerned because I have never had to deal with weight before. Any ideas or suggestions for me?

Dear taptap23,

As said by Dr.Abhishek, it is due to medicines & genetics both..
So diet, yoga and exercise will help u to maintain weight but u try to be relaxed as much as possible... Dnt get panic.. Getting panic will also disturb u and so ur physicals...Watch comedy movies, or films which makes u happy and relaxed.. Or involve urself in some kind of interesting activities...
