Retinopathy
My wife aged 60 years. Diabetic insulin dependent and hypertensive for the past ten years.Mlid heart problem associated with diabetes.Last two weeks ago she suddenly stated seeing as if a bunch of hair is blocking her left eye.On examination by eye surgeon it was found that she has developed retinopathy.She is now being given laser tratment.She had been operated for cataract in both eyes. Laser treatment is normally used to "glue" a detached retina back into place .
Napthalinium is recommended in the book for detached retina - but must admit that I have no experience of that remedy .
Gelsemium is also recommended but does not fit so well .
Point here is that sometimes , when there is a detachment problem, it is due to pressure build up. This happens when the normal in and out flow of fluid is restricted. So if she ever starts to see halos round light sources get her checked .
The only other thing is to help heal the laser stitching and Arnica 30 daily for a week may do that.

ANY problems with eyes are quite serious-and it's really much better to see a profesional homeopath in person.
Homeopathy is very much individualized-what works for one may not work for another, even with the samediagnosis-but homeopathy can really help her.
Also (additionally) her eyes will recuperate faster with homeopathic remedies and with total relax (the best way to rest eyes is PALMING by dr. Bates-just covering closed eyes with palms until total darkness is seen).

diabetic retinopathy in the first stages is caused by leaking blood vessels and laser treatment helps stop these leakages. in later stages it can cause detached retina.
do you know if this is in the first stages or later stages??
