The ABC Homeopathy Forum

cannabis

Hi. I recently visited a homeopathist for the first time. I noticed on one of your postings that one of the guides asked if the poster had been using cannabis. Is this a likely cause of excema? My homeopathist didn't ask me about it. I've been smoking it for about 10 years now (daily). Any help much appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It would not cause eczema , that is a hereditary condition that may be brought to the surface of the skin by many problems - one is stress .

If you are using cannabis to suppress stress then that could make the condition worse - but would not create it in the first place.

I know hundreds of canabis addicts, none has any eczema.

Yeah, I'm sure that the excema was not caused by my smoking of cannabis, however, is it not likely that a substance that floods your system with toxins and changes your chemical balance could have such a major impact as to cause or contribute to a break out of excema?

if this were the case then everyone who drank coffee or alcohol would have eczema?

as not everyone who drinks these (coffee and alcohol and others + nicotine + others + others) has eczema, then how can cannabis cause eczema?

well, because different people react differently with different substances. some people do react in such a way with both coffee and alcohol and nicotene, as well as other things such as chillis.

true - but it were to 'flood the system with toxins' in someone then it might be difficult to pinpoint this as being the only cause as I would guess there may be a mixture of many toxins in the body, or a very heavy intake, in which case I don't think that eczema would be the only problem.
