I am presenting her case in hopes of assistance to remedy and cure. She is 68 years old and was diagnosed with AutoImmune Hypothyroid (Hashimoto's) when she was 57 possibly ongoing since birth of 3rd child at age 41. She has 3 children all girls. I helped her complete the Remedy Finder here on ABCHomeopathy.com. It suggested, after generalizing ALL of her symptoms, Lycopodium Clavatum as her Remedy. Yes, Lycopodium Cla. But, don't give her at first. Because, it will create lots of aggravation if you give her at first. You can give her another anti-psoric remedy which is more close with her present symptoms according to her homoeo doctors recommendation. She need close personal observation of a educated homoeo doctor in order to start her treatment.

I just read some more about Calc. and my mother does has indigestion in the evenings if she eats a late meal. She sometimes wakes up with indigestion and takes Apple Cider Vinegar with water which solves the problem.

I think there are many Calc. symptoms, even though Lycopodium is most likely to be the long term remedy.
Many Calc symptoms, a craving for eggs eaten daily, sweat on the back of neck and forehead, some of the emotional elements, etc.
You can get Calc-C (Calcium Carbonica) 30c from a health food store. Put one pellet in a 10oz bottle, and let it dissolve. Then put one tablespoon of that into a second 10oz bottle. Give her one sip of that.
We never repeat Calc-C. with older patients.
If there is an improvement please report it. If there are any new symptoms please report it.
This dose could lead to months of ongoing improvement with nothing else necessary. There is a possibility that eventually it would be followed by Lycopodium.

calc - c.

Calc - C is remedy that is very often used before Lycopodium. My expectation is that at some point after the Calc, she may need Lyco.

Okay, I have explained this all to my mother and she is going to get the Calc-C right away and take it as you suggested. How long do you think she needs to wait and what signs is she looking for? What types of changes should she expect? What is the Calc-C going to 'work on'? Thank you for helping as I know you didn't think you had the time for this case as you probably still do not. I appreciate it very much. My mom has been suffering with these problems for so long that she has just excepted them as her way of life and she deprives herself from many things in life because of her appearence and feeling so bad about herself. I certainly hope homeopathy works for her as it has for me and with your help, we only have more of a fighting chance. Kind Regards!!

In Homeopathy each medicine treats the 'WHOLE PERSON'. Calc - C should treat everything, and lead to an overall improvement.
It is very important that she only use one dose of the Calc. We never repeat Calc in patients who are not children.
There should be an improvement right away. Even if there is just an improved feeling of well-being, that's good. I expect one administration of Calc - C to lead to months of improvement.

If one feels improved well being with the the use of a homeopathic medicine, one can be sure that it is removing symptoms and preventing pathologies.

My mother has been reading about Calc-C and learned that according to different sources that possibly she is not to take any other homeopathic or prescription medications. If you recall, she is taking Armour Thyroid prescribed by her MD and was previously on Synthroid which didn't have any effect. She is concerned if she stops the Armour, she could possibly experience heart problems.

She should continue with her regular medicines as usual, as per her Doctor's advice.
Homeopathic medicines can be used with any other medicines. There are no interactions.
It is skin treatments that one wants to avoid, whether or not one is using a homeopathic treatment.

Hello there! Wanted to ask you what things my mother should avoid and for how long as to not antidote the Calc-C? She drinks green tea daily and was concerned about it interfering with the medicine. Are there any other concerns she should have, fruit for instance? Hope you are having a great day.
sun27342 last decade
I wouldn't worry about anything antidoting the Calc. In general Homeopathy recommends against coffee and any forms of caffeine including teas. Can quit gradually.
Antidotes are rare.
