Non-verbal autistic son
10 pound baby, fifth child, allery to milk products 5 months old. had ear inf. from 5 mos to 10 mos. had ear tubes in. At 15 months had about 20 words of language, social, played with sisters. Had reaction to MMR at 16 mos old, arched his back, shut down to noise. lost language. Began to stare, put on Gluten and Casein free diet helped some. Diagnosed as Autistic at 2 yrs. Is now 10, non-verbal we've been chelating for 2 yrs on and off for heavy metals including mercury. He's had tonsils removed at 2.5 yrs, hernia surgery at 5 yrs. At severe night terrors and violent tantrums which were taken away by Stramonium. Have since used Stramonium and am currently using the LM doses and slowly raising them, the stramonium seems to make him happy, then hyper but never calm and it never seems to last long, it does take away his night terrors but he's obsessed with water playing with it but afraid of anything more than 2 inches in the tub, will not go near a pool or shower, nervous around heights, afraid of noisy parties, people, dogs, covers his ears alot to certain sound, bites his one arm or hand when mad. He drinks lots of water, loves to eat, loves onions, garlic,spicy things, chocolate, but eats all vegetalbes,chicken. Still wets the bed heavily around 5-6 am. Understand language but can't talk, tries to makes noises and sounds. Pinches or spits to get your attn or make you understand whats wrong. Very affectionate, kisses hugs, but sometimes could bite you without being upset, very hyperactive. He's about 150 lbs and about 5 ft tall. Also had a head injury at 7 yrs old. Has not had a vaccine since 16 mos old. Any suggestions I've only had luck with Stramonium but it never seems to holdsherryb on 2005-04-11

How does he sleep [presumably heavily all night from the bedwet]
Does he have fine hair long eyelashes and a heart shaped face.
How soon after waking does he ahve a bowel motion .
Would it be fair to say that his behaviour is childish.

He is terrified near any large body of water especially the ocean or lake, he won't leave the car or the room he's in. He sleeps pretty heavy all night until he wets,sometimes it wakes him and sometimes not. He sleeps on his stomach with his face in the pillow, unless he sleeps with us and then he gets right in between my husband and me and touches us and sleeps on his back. He doesn't have a heart shaped face or the long eyelashes. He has a rounded face ,is heavy for his age and has thick hair thats hard to comb down. he hates to ;have his hair combed. He usually has a bowel movement pretty soon after getting up, at least within the first hour. And he has very childish silly behavior, running around alot, likes to get into all the cupboards. running the water, etc. Thank you.. Sherry

I also would like to know how I could order the post vaccination syndrome remedy, if thats what it calls for. Don't know where to look. The homeopath I usually order from does not carry it.

Seems like we will be using 2 remedies
Sulphur and Baryta Carb.
Both of these in high potencies ,
I would like to start with a course of 3 tablets on sucessive nights .. 1 tab a night.
1st nt Sul 10m
2nd nt Sul Cm
3rd nt sul 10Cm.
then wait at least 3 weeks before asessing any change.
Where are you , which country , as it may not be easy to get the higher potencies.

I live in New York State in U,S. I usually can get up to a 10 M . I'm not sure where to get the Cm. Any suggestions. Thank You/

to passkey, I've checked the homeopathic pharmacy in my area, I can get the 10M, and they are checking on the Cm, they wanted to know if the Dm was ok instead of the 10 Cm (they don't think its available). Also if I give the 1st night and theres an aggravation should I wait for the second night dose? How long should I wait if there's an aggravation until its gone?Thank you so much for your help Sherry

The homeopathic pharmacy said they could send me Sulfur 10M, 50M and Cm. Thats as far as it goes.

Try to keep aprox 24 hrs between tablets , because this is the 'single divided dose' .
Try to mentally note the conditions during the week before giving the tablets and use this as a 'yardstick ' to judge any changes.

Thank you, will follow instructions, should have the remedies by Friday or Sat. Sometimes in the past when I've tried a different remedy than Stramonium or when its gotten wiped out, he gets very violent if that happens should I try to ride it out or give the stramonium back to him. He bites himself and tries to kick,bite and hit us and he gets this look in his eye like he could kill you after we give him the remedy in about 10 mins,he gets nice and kisses us and changes again.

Should not get that sort of reaction with the potencies we are using . But if there is a problem , stop and wait.

Dear Passkey, I gave the remedies to my son on April 16,17,18 like you said. On April 19 he was badly injured on his foot,it was cut with glass, he got about 60 stitches, pain meds, antibiotics, anesthesia. So I waited until April 29,30, and May 1, to repeat the Sulphur. He's been doing alright except he's been a little more hyperactive, throwing his food, small things but today which is May 7th he had a huge meltdown, started biting his arms until they bleed, starts attacking us, wanting to leave the house and ride in the car, spits, he has a wild look in his eyes, in the past the only thing that stops him is Stramonium, I gave him a 10M , its the highest I have on hand, it took about 10 mins for him to stop,my husband and I both have to hold him down while he spits on us. Wondering if the Sulfur will not work and if I can do the higher doses of Stramonium if thats what's called for. He also will barely get in the tub anymore. Please let me know he looks like he's in so much pain when he gets this way. Thanks Sherry

OK use a higher potency of Stram --say 10 m 1 tab on three sucessive nights . See if that settles things , which the antibiotics have upset .

Dear Passkey, we waited for the stramonium like you said, he's right where he was before, still hyper, not much water in tub, biting off and on, we did also try hep sulf 1M, his test came back with heavy metals especially mercury, he seemed to do really well with that for about 4-5 days and then a complete meltdown, biting himself, kicking us,turns red, violent, punching, I gave him back stramonium and in about 5 mins or so he's fine again but is right way he's always been , not violent but not moving foward or better. He didn;t seem to be afraid of the water as much with the Hep Sulf, what would make him so violent? Should I try the Sulfur again in the higher doses? Many thanks Sherry

Was he vaccinated before the problems started?.
It may be worth trying merc 1m - just one tab and wait.
NB Hepar will antidote any ill effects of the merc. If there are any.

Yes the last time he was vaccinated was at 16 months old, had a severe reaction and has never had anymore since until just 2 months ago he got a tetanus shot, the doctors would not do surgery unless he had one.

My son has been on all the right fats for years, flaxseed oil, cod liver oils, Phos Chol, he has a great autism specialist that believes in natural healing, he;s also been on the specific carbohydrate diet, eats all natural foods, I watch his yeast which is always low, all his blood test always come out perfect, except for high herpes 6 virus and a high titer for rubella, and heavy metals. I believe the heavy metals affect his brain, liver and the way his body cannot build up resistance to certain viruses. I believe in the constitutional remedy approach, its finding the right one. The case would ned to be handled properly by a homeopat, and only by homeopathy, in order to cure.
