The ABC Homeopathy Forum
bph
I know this is a much discussed topic here. Many remedies are suggested, and excellent results reported. In fact that is what has confused me and forced me to post this query here.I was first diagnosed with BPH in 2003 (frequent urination). I took 'Saw Palmetto', and within days, I was normal. Afterwards I started taking 'Prostina' capsules, and later 'Himplasia' tabs (2 tabs daily). Till a month ago, I was perfectly normal. But the symptoms have returned - this time frequent urination (at average 2 hours interval at night), burning sensation, and feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen. I took 'Urimax' 0.02 mcg one daily, and also Pulsatilla, Lycopodium, Equisetum and Cantharis 200 potency 4 pills thrice daily. Last week my doctor added R-25 and R -1 (10 drops each in a cup of water thrice daily) and asked me to discontinue 'Urimax'. But the urge to urinate has now increased during the day, with the frequency of urination going up at night (4 times).
I am 60 years old, and 6 feet tall. Few months back, I had a fall, broke my elbow, and had to be operated. The next 3 months saw me putting on weight, and I now weigh 108 kg. I am a border line diabetic, and my BP is 160/90. For the last three months I am regularly going for evening walks and exercises. I am non-veg, but a frugal eater, mild mannered, and a computer programmer by profession (sit for 8 hrs at least every day).
I have seen here many remedies, and much about Arnica 30C and Conium 6C. Will any expert help me with an effective Homeo regimen please?

GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION
It is important to describe all your problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.

2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occuring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?
Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing.
As well as this, please describe any traumatic indicidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.
Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.
Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior.
Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow.
Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases.

1. Frequent urge to urinate. Feeling that the bladder is still full after urination.
2. No pain. But the lower abdomen feels heavy.
3. The present state is noticeable probably after the discontinuation of 'Urimax' three days ago.
4.No noticeable change in the situation so far.
5. Nothing in specific triggers the problem.
6. Right now, I would say the days seem more problematic because of the frequent urge to urinate. Frequency at night is about 4 times.
7.It started in 2003 after my wife's death in the earlier year. Feel lonely.
No other major trauma in life. I am basically a cool sober type of guy, an introvert, likes listening to music and reading books. Childhood was normal and uneventful. No major diseases. Easy going and normal relationship with other family members.
1. Love any type of food, but quantity consumed is less.
2. Like cold seasons.
3. Prefer cold beverages.
4. Has a sweet tooth, but ever since my blood test which showed me as a borderline diabetic, avoid sweets.
5. Sleep pattern, of late is disturbed. Even before symptoms of BPH resurfaced, used to wake up at 2 or 3 am, and then found it difficult to go back to sleep. This happens at least twice a week.
6. Positive minded, although there is a fear or apprehension deep down for the unknown.
7. Sexually inactive, but the craving is acute at times.
I cannot think of anything more at this stage. Hope this would suffice the experts to offer me their kind help
