scabs on scalp & weight gain

My 10 year son has scabs on his scalp for the past 2 years which though not problematic, pain when removed. Besides he has been gaining weight quite a bit. I was advised to give silica 200 as a constitutional remedy and have been giving it for the past 2 months but no result.
He suffered of many bouts of malaria and had febrile convulsions 1st when 1 year. Till then he was never ill.
He is shy, sensitive and clinging and physically not agile and slow. Suffers of cold and blocked nose whenever there is change in weather. And even when not having a cold his nose tends to leak while eating (started when a teacher gave a negative feedback of his eating habits). He tends to snore while sleeping due to nasal blockage. His stomach is distended and when he is reprimanded or feeling hurt
his left eye twitches. He was prescribed causticum 200 for it, he has further taken lycopodium. Continuous twitching stopped but when reprimanded or hurt his eye twitches. I am really worried about his weight gain.
