Paralyzed dog with Giardia! I need help as soon as possible, PLEASE! Page 3 of 4

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Ok get hold of 200c then.

Will do. Shall I continue giving her the 30C until I get the 200C?

Finchen last decade
As long as she is not getting new symptoms, or any of her other symptoms are not getting worse, then yes.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Ok thank you.

What amazes me is that she is nagging on her REAR paw, even though she is paralyzed there and shouldn't feel something there. She is doing this since 2 days only.

Finchen last decade
Ok that *is* very interesting. I wonder if there is something deeper going on with the remedy. Definitely keep the daily doses going, and make sure you get the 200c.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Yes will do doctor, and I will keep you informed.

Dear David, I need your help.

I told you that my dog was chewing on her right paw. Last night everything was fine, she had a bandage and was sleeping.
But today when we left the house and came back 2 hours later, my dog did remove the bandage and 'chewed' so long and so much on her paw that 1/4 of her paw is missing now!
When I saw it I nearly collapsed, it was so shocking to see!

We immediately went to the veterinary and he told us that most likely it is a neuropathic pain and that she feels a tingling and therefore is chewing on her paw. He said that the paw will heal however the neuropathic pain might continue and also occur on her other rear foot.

My question is, is there any homeopathic remedy that can stop this neuropathic pain (tingling)? I hope there is, because we really don't know what to do now! Thank you.

This pain is most likely coming from the compression of the nerves in the spinal cord. While the bones continue to compress, I am not sure what can be done it about it. In humans, it is very difficult to treat - they often end up giving antidepressants or anitconvulsants for it.

If that is the case, it may be suitable to use Hypericum here. Can you get 12c?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I can order Hypericum 12C in either Germany or in UK and send it here. Shall I order only 12C or also 30C or 200C?

And to update about the diarrhea: It stopped again one day after I continued giving her the Nux Vomica.

Finchen last decade
Ok because you have to order it in, get 12, 30 and 200c. It is a useful remedy to have around anyway so I am sure it would not go to waste.

I am concerned that if the diarrhea stops, but the neuropathic pain becomes prominent, we could be suppressing the diarrhea.

So what to do, shall I continue giving her the Nux Vomica 30C and order it in 200C like you suggested yesterday?

Or should I just give the Nux Vomica 30C until I get the Hypericum and then give Hypericum 12C and stop with Nux Vomica 30C?

Finchen last decade
How else is she while taking the Nux-v - what other changes do you observe.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
She is more relaxed and more calm. For example in the past when we left the home and went outside for a walk with our other dogs she got nervous and was crawling around and nearly always peeing. Since she is getting the Nux Vomica she stays on her mattress.

She also sleeps better in the night since she is getting the Nux Vomica.

And she eats better and does not have stomach rumbles anymore.

Then getting the Nux-v 200 in is appropriate. Hypericum is more for spinal injury, it seems that Nux-v suits her overall condition. Get both remedies as it may be necessary to use something specific for the spine.

Yes I will order everything now. Thank you very much for your help. God bless you.

My dog is having again severe diarrhea today.

It started on Wednesday afternoon, but it was not so bad, just 'soft' stool. Yesterday it got worser, 'soft' and 'slimmy' stool and in the evening she didn't wanted to eat much.

Now today she refuses to eat, she does not even want cheese (what she loves) and after I fed her with a syringe with oat meal + water it came out 5 minutes later (diarrhea).

She has no fever, but her paw is inflamed and purulent.

She got a dose of Nux Vomica once a day in the last couple of days. I have no idea why she is feeling so bad since Wednesday.

Since yesterday my other dogs have diarrhea too, however they do not refuse to eat.

Maybe some kind of virus.

Stop the Nux straight away.

It is possible that she has had too much, or that the Nux was only palliating her condition and has now stopped being able to do that.

Stop and see what happens.

Ok I will stop with the Nux Vomica. She finally started to eat but she still refuses to drink.

I will receive the Hypericum on Monday.

Dear David,

I received the HYPERICUM 12C, 30C, 200C and the NUX VOMICA 200C today.

What should I give my dog?

I have stopped with the NUX VOMICA 30C since I wrote here the last time and she had no diarrhea since 4 days (today is the fourth day).

She however has itching in her ears and her face. I have attached a picture of her face (you can see how red it is).

Ok start the Hyper 12c. Make it up the same way you did the Nux-v and give her one dose in the morning and one in the evening, and do this for 4 days. We will see how she reacts.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Thank you Sir, I will start this evening.

Hi David, I have been giving her one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening since the last time I wrote here. The wound on her paw was getting better every day. Today in the morning I forgot the dose and when I was under the shower she did remove the bandage and started to chew her paw. Fortunately my boyfriend saw it and immediately stopped her.

In the last couple of days she was doing fine, she was eating good and had no diarrhea. But today she had diarrhea.

How shall I continue with the Hypericum? She still has the itchies in her ears and face.

Finchen last decade
Yes as long as she is doing well, continue the remedy. If it no longer works, immediately start with the 30c instead, dosing in the same way.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
She did it again!!! Last night while we were sleeping she removed the bandage and chewed on her paw.

Yesterday I said to my mom that the paw looks so much better (it healed quite good) and now it is bloody, swollen and inflamed again.

I switched to 30C, but honestly I am considering to buy Gabapentin from the pharmacy. I am so afraid that one day she will chew so much that she will hit one artery and bleed to death.

Hi David,

my dog is doing fine at the moment. She has absolutely no more diarrhea and her paw is almosted healed.

However she seems to have a severe allergy. Her ears are sore and red and her face and paws too.

Is there anything I can give her to stop the itching?
