Tissue Remedies

Hello All Dr.

I use tissue remedies for all small ailments. Does it increases Blood Pressure. My sister complains that whenever she takes tissue remedies, her B.P. increases. Usually we take 6X potency. Let me know if any one had this experience.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It is possible to get side effects or aggravations from them, so if she says it is happening then it probably is because of the Tissue Salts (which are medicines not nutritional supplements).

Sudhee,

It is always better to understand the whole thing before drawing any conclusions like..
whether she feels that she is sensitive to all medicines and her BP rises if someone gives her any remedy.
whether she felt better in her complaint for which the remedy was taken.
the bp shot up for a short time or she had to take any treatment to normalize it.
tissue salts like natrum mur and silicea are deep acting polychrest remedies and may turn out to be the patient's similimum in many instances.

brisbanehomeopath: Looks like you do not prescribe Tissue Salts. Any way thanks for the reply.

Kadwa: Thanks for the reply. She got cured from the problem, after taking the required Tissue Salt. She got cured for many other ailments earlier also. Whenever she takes salts, there is head heaviness and eye lids become heavy, which she says are her increased BP signs. She got checked and it had increased very little and normalized without any additional medicine. She takes allopathy BP medicine. She took 6X potency, 4 tablets, thrice a day for two days. Reducing the does will it help? I am not a professional but has been using in my home (for more than 6 years) for my family, for small ailments with great success without any side effects.

Usually people take 4 tabs 3-4 times a day in 6x which seems to be much dose for sensitive ones. 1-2 tabs twice daily- one single remedy at a time - not more than 3-7 days will help that kinda beings- not on daily basis- should be stopped after a week n wait for 2-7 days to study changes.
Actually tissue salts also needs a professional eye.

Sudhee,

You may reduce the frequency of dosing. Instead of thrice a day, make it twice a day. You have not told name of the remedy. Whether it was natrum mur 6x?

At times (but very rarely) I have experienced some aggravation in giving tissue salts.
In such cases I dissolve four tablets in a cup of water & give a sip or two every 4 hourly as a single dose.TDS or QID.
In my opinion,a slight increase in BP for some period of time is a good sign that body is responding to the medication in positive way.
It does not require any intervention.
