Tooth decay in 6 year old.

My daughter suffers from hypothyroidism by birth. Her condition was detected at 3 months. The doctor warned us about problems with her milk teeth. Two of her pre-molars wasted away causing her a lot of pain and had to be extracted at age 4. Later, her incisors started decaying and I was advised to use kreosotum 30c here at the forum. At the time Kreosotum really helped. Recently, two more pre-molars are decaying fast and once again she's in a lot of pain. One tooth has worn down to the root. I'm hoping to avoid extraction this time. I've given her Kreosotum for a few days but so far there is no change. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello again, and thanks for the answer.
This sounds like Calcarea Carbonica. Most people need this remedy some time during their lives. Especially children.
I think you should start with Calcarea Carbonica 30C, later you may need 200C.
The procedure is as follows: Put 4 pills or drops if you get liquid in 1 / 2 a glass of clean water. Leave it to the pill is dissolved. Give a teaspoon of this Mixture. Place over a lid or a plastic wrap and put glass in the refrigerator. Can be kept 5 days.
Wait and observe. After 5 days you can give a second dose, a teaspoonful. Stir once. Remember that the medicine must be given at least a half hour before or after food. Caffeine is banned, coke etc.

One important thing! If you observe that the medication has a positive effect, not giving any more, let the first dose do its job before giving any more.

Do you have any questions, just ask.;-)

Regards; Parakletos.

Thank you so much for the prompt reply. I already started her on Kreosotum a few days ago but it shows no effect. I'll give a gap of a few days and then start calcalrea carb.

Sounds good, although Calcarea fit very well after Kreos.

Parakletos, I'm a little concerned about using calcarea carb. It just doesn't seem to fit her constitution.

Calcarea carb is for children who grow fat, are large-bellied, with large head, pale skin, chalky look, the so-called leucophlegmatic temperament; affections caused by working in water.

She's thin and very active. Just thought I should mention this. I really want her out of this painful problem that she's been struggling with for years.

Calcarea is more nuanced than that, actually, calcarea children can be quite skinny.

The information you find on the internet, according to homeopathic remedies, is quite obsolete. Not because they contain errors, but there are constantly new discoveries. These are rare on the internet.
I usually advise people who have no training in homeopathy not try to find things out on your own. Can be very frustrating, because many, perhaps most, homeopathic medicines are similar, many of the same symptoms are found in most remedies. It takes a trained person to discover the important differences.

In fact, homeopathy is an art form.

You can safely give your children Calcarea, should it prove to be wrong medicine is no harm done. Then we try again, but I think the calc is the right medicine for your daughter.

Just wanted to report back on my daughter's tooth problem. I've been giving her Calcarea Carb for the last few days. I don't see any significant change. Her tooth is still decayed to the core. The only positive thing is that she has not complained of pain when eating food. I've also noticed that she's more cranky than usual. Not sure if that is due to calc carb. Should I continue with the same remedy?

wonderwoman last decade
Hello.
This is a positive development, that she no longer has pain.
You can not expect a decaying tooth, especially a milk tooth, can repair itself. According to my wife who is a dentist, the tooth does not get well again. But when the new teeth come they will be in excellent condition.
The point here is to restore the imbalance that your daughter has in her body, the body does not absorb calcium. This is the problem that your daughter is experiencing and that we must correct. A sign of imbalance is just that with the decay of teeth.
The right medicine can cure hypothyroidism, perhaps this medication is Calcarea carbonate. :-)
Stop the medication, a few days. observe what happens.

Hello.
How is your daughter now, anything new?

Parakletos last decade
Thank you so much for asking. I've continued with calcarea carb. She has stopped complaining of pain altogether. How long should I continue with the remedy? I'm afraid to stop. Don't want her teeth to deteriorate further. Plus her diet lacks Calcium. Somehow she is unable to ingest anything with milk in it.

I also have a problem with my older daughter. Would appreciate your help on that. I will start a fresh thread for that.

wonderwoman last decade
Well .. my intention was to give Calc carb once, only one dose. Wait a few days, but you have given one dose each day? Ok, no harm done, perhaps it was just as well.;-)

You can stop the medication now. Later, if needed, can you give the Potency 200C, but only once. Please contact me before giving another dose.

Calcium is found in many different varieties:
kale, oranges, lemons, carrots, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, bran, milk, cheese, rhubarb, spinach, cabbage, peas, apricots, figs, plums, dates, rice, potatoes, almonds helkorn, cress, kale, prunes, parsley, raisins and egg yolk.

It is important to have a varied diet, but remember that calcium can be destroyed by cooking. Salads and raw vegetables and fruits, are a good source of calcium. Actually, we do well without cow milk. Milk from goats are better suited to us humans, if it is possible to find where you live, but as I said before, milk is not essential.

But what happens when she, for example, drink milk? Stomach cramps, or maybe she gets diarrhea? Can you explain a bit about this?

I will look at the thread about your other daughter, respond as soon as I can.
Thank you. :-)

Actually, she stopped drinking milk when I discontinued breast feeding. From then onwards she can't stand the sight of milk. No pain or anything. Just a general distaste for milk products.

Tooth cavities shows lack of calcium in the food. This truly applies, esp if you are not giving milk (which is rich in calcium).

While Calc Carb is addressing the problem for now, it is certainly not a substitute for calcium rich food. Yes, I have observerd in every case, where Calc Carb is given, it slows down decay, but you addressed only half the problem.

Although the doctor has listed a lot of vegetable source, you should review your children diet and see how much of these are you giving and is that sufficient

I completly agree with R.P. Tamhankar in his recommendation of Calcipral. If you live in US, the near vegetable equivalent is 'bone strength' by New Chapter. I recommend to provide some calcium supplement, along with natural food source, a minimum of once a week, to prevent calcium defficiency.

Bone strength has both Vit-D and Vit-K to promote calcium absorption (read amazon review for clinical proof). The importance of Vit-K is well explained in 'cure for tooth decay' by Ramiel Nagel (you tube video is also available)

It is only partially correct. Because in a 'real' lime / calcium case, the body's ability to absorb calcium from food is out of balance. Right from birth.
As James Tyler Kent says: What a foolish notion it is to feed that infant lime water/kalsium because he cannot digest lime !

First one must find the right remedy that can correct the imbalance, and in this case I think it is Calcarea carbonate which is the correct medicine. The imbalance, if one can call it that, is possibly located in the thyroid gland. Of course it is impossible to know this one hundred percent, but it is certainly my tip.

Sure. Nice old quote and agreed.

Do you still not see that we cannot live by fixing the assimilation only. I agree that we need to fix assimilation, but ALSO provide the supplement. If not, the little kid will get back to the same condition, unless you recommend them to take Calc Carb 30 as a supplement regularly.

I really appreciate all the activity on my post. Just want to clarify a few things. First of all my daughter was breast fed for 2 and a half years. Because her hypothyroidism was detected late, the doctor expected her to have no milk teeth at all. They did come out but from the beginnning they were weak and easily broken. Furthermore, as predicted by the doctor my daughter walked late. She had weak muscles. Her tooth decay started when she was just one and still being breast fed. Two pre-molars had to be removed when she was three. She could not grip a pencil or even hold a spoon properly. At age 4 a homeopath gave her barium carbonicum for her muscular problems. To my surprise she started writing almost immediately and her grip problems went away. Recently, those writing problems have returned.

I stopped giving her Calcarea Carb and today she complained of tooth ache again. Her diet does contain some calcium in the form of yogurt and fruits but I think she needs some extra supplement too. Would really like to get your feedback on this.

Hypothyroid in 6 years? I am really sorry to read this. There is some thing fundamentally wrong that went to cause this.

In any case, please give a dose of Ferrum Phos 6, 2 pills every morning and KALI PHOS 6x, 2 tablets, twice in the rest of the day. Repeat this every day. The hypo thyroid will slowly get better, month after month, slowly, but surely.

For teeth, let us wait for Dr. P to advice. If not, I will be happy to share my experience.

It will help, if you give write, in which state and country you live in.

Reva, thank you for replying. Actually, my daughter was born with hypothyroidism. It's probably genetic because a lot of people in my family and from my area suffer from thyroid issues.

I will start the thyroid remedy once her teeth issues are solved. Would really like Dr.P to advise on how to proceed further. I'm hoping to avoid tooth extraction if possible. Her milk teeth are weak but at least the new teeth that come out are all healthy.

wonderwoman last decade
This sounds like a deficiency disease, or contamination of soil / water. Can I ask what area you come from?
And what about your daughter now, is there any change?

(To RevaV.
Can you please stop with your comments on this thread, it's very confusing for the patient and not to mention unprofessional.
Should it prove that I'm completely wrong with my suggestion, you can take over later. What you are doing now is a form of spaming, and it is very annoying.)

Thanks Dr.P. I come from Pakistan and though we have some homeopaths in our area, they are not very reliable.

My daughter's decayed tooth is hurting badly and I'm afraid it will have to be extracted. The only good thing is that her adult teeth are strong and healthy. Hopefully, she will not have to go through this for long.

Can you tell me what area / city in Pakistan you come from? And if there are any companies / factories nearby?

Another thing, do you think that you and your children, get enough omega3, eg in the form of fish?
