How does one practice homeopathy in US if he or she is a graduate from India? What all exams are to be given and how is one certified? Is there any course to be taken? Thanks,

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It does vary from state to state. In one state one has to be certified. Another, not. Licensing is demanded of MD's and RN's because they are legally considered to "possibly cause harm." This covers the surgery invasion and shots and meds, etc. This is true of all the states.
Herbalists and other types of practices must be only certified as at one point in time these practices have been examined by courts and have found to "not cause harm."
The problem is that herbs and homeopathy fall into the "cracks" of the unknown and unchallenged to any great degree. Of course there is always the client that wants to sue because the "remedy did nothing."
I feel sure that the courts would not take the time to persue this except to satisfy the return of the charges for service. It is all too often that clients do not report their progress, be it good or bad. Many times we never know if anything happened at all.
Hypnotherapists are certified, not licensed, as actual court proceedings ruled that hypnosis "does not cause harm."
If you look up state laws pertaining to homeopathy specifically on the net, it will say that "homeopathy may be 'given free' in one state" and another demands a certification.
