This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Oh boy are you asking for trouble!

In the USA they HATE homeopathy. There is a billion dollar industry -- the pharmaceutical -- trying to discredit and eradicate it.

THere are people on the
" Otherhealth " site who may be able to advise you.

Can you practise without qualifications? Its one thing 'practising' over the net or under a doctor, but how can you practice legally (esp. in the US) unless you get some certification? What happens if someone makes a complaint against you? (I'm asking, not to frighten you but because the thought occurs.) To have no license to practise would be adding to the problem, don't you think?
If you have a lot of knowledge of homeopathy, why not qualify formally? Should be a breeze.
Good luck anyway.

To Walkin: You said they hate homeopathy? I was wondering how do Homeopathy Practitioners practice here at all? I know its hard for people to accept homeopathy here BUT i have read about some thing called Freedom Of Practice Law...that lets one practice..with a certificate ofcourse. Thanks for the info about the "other Health site".

To homlee:Thanks a lot for your reponse. I do understand that Here homeopathy practitioners cannot be licenced but they do need a certification like 500 theory hours and 500 Clinical hours for the certification. Would the clinical Hours I already have help in reducing the requirement for certification? Also I am looking at a few Online Courses but just cannot decide from which educational Institution I should take the course. I am based in california.Do you or anyone out there know of a place where I can start my Theory and maybe Clinical study?

Dear "deedave",

I'm going to be blunt about this, and if you and others take offense to this well I will not be apologizing ever for this comment as this is what is commonly discussed by specialists I deal with on a daily basis and the government.

So to be blunt…

For everyone who is interested in practicing the true art and SCIENCE of homoeopathy, get appropriate training.

I mean simply this:
1) Get training at a education facility where there is no short cuts or small amounts of hours to put in.
2) Look for a facility that teaches medicine along with homoeopathy.
3) Look towards a homoeopathic medical collage if there is one in your area that has hours close to medical schools.
4) Realize this is medicine and one should never short cut an art and a science.

Deedave: you have amazing schools in India to get the medical back ground, being lazy is no excuse, get into a homoeopathic medical school (I know several which you can try to get into).

REASON WHY HOMOEOPATHY IS NOT RESPECTED?
Think real hard how many homoeopathic practitioners do you know who skip hard work of learning medicine and applying both rational arts as the founder Dr. Hahnemann? Far too many sadly.

Homoeopathy would be respected as a medical system if:
1) Those who practiced it strived to educate themselves to be competent enough to talk to medical doctors on both terms (i.e. their pathophysiology mind set and our holistic vital force mind set).
2) If homoeopathic practitioners, homoeopathic doctors, homoeopathic nurses all had standards of education and in-forced this.
3) If we all really listen to us rant and rave about Dr. Hahnemann and his teachings then let this conclude my ranting: Organon of Medicine Aphorism #3 excerpts
“If the physician clearly perceives what is to be cured in diseases, that is to say, in every individual case of disease (KNOWLEDGE OF DISEASE, INDICATION), if he clearly perceives what is curative in medicines, that is to say, in each individual medicine (KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICAINL PWOERS)… finally, he knows the obstacles to recovery in each case and is aware how to remove them, so that the restoration may be permanent: THEN HE UNDERSTANDS HOW TO TREAT JUDICIOUSLY AND RATIONALLY, AND HE IS ATRUE PRACTITIONER OF HEALING ART”

Please for the love of Hahnemann and the future of homoeopathy build up our image through standards, ethics and medical knowledge as is the only way to combat an ever confused society so depended upon science as this is our 21 century version of religion ruling our idealisms. (Please note I myself believe in God (Christ) for myself and in no manner believe religion is evil, but when used improperly throughout history its not great… for example the Crusades).
