Dear Doctor Sahib,

It may be continued for 5 days. Then it may be given on alternate days and gradually withdrawn.

i don't think that it works as a constitutional remedy. It only works as a remedy for a given phase that doesn't last long.

The Sankaran plant book coffee
is listed as the tubercular miasm,
Acute is coffeinum ( whatever that is)
typhoid is ipecac, Malaria is 5 kinds
of china, sycotic is Yohimbinum and
then Galium aparine and china ars
for canc miasm.

There is only one case given in this group
and it is for morning sickness where they
gave ipecac bc the woman was hyper and
wanted to think about lots of things and learn things constantly-fixed the morning
sickness as an acute.

Looked at homeoint.org
articleby EB Nash, says he preferred giving the coffee
cruda in a 200 c dose for sleeplessness. And
said something about using Chamomilla instead
of coffee for people who like to drink coffee. Also
said for people in physical inflammation and had
fever and nervous ( can't sleep??) that Hering
alternated Aconite and Coffee cruda.

I have seen several constitutional Coffea patients. One of them was a baby. All suffered from insomnia as one of their main complaints, all of them were unusally alert and mentally active. Each of them showed different aspects of the remedy though, which is broad acting and has many facets.

Every remedy can be constitutional. I have used many so-called acute remedies for chronic cases (Arnica, Aconite, Belladonna etc) with great success.

There is no predicting when a specific patient will begin to aggravate or prove a remedy that is given too frequently or for too long a period. You need to keep an eye on them or give them clear instructions on what to look out for. There is no mechanical prescribing in homoeopathy, everything is individualised.
