query about lycopodium

I want to know how often Lycopodium can be repeated in 10m potency.

Assuming that Lycopodium is the correct remedy, if single dose of Lycopodium 10m is taken and no effect is noted can it be taken for 2-3 consecutive days until an aggravation is noted?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It should only be repeated when there has been improvement and this has relapsed, or the improvement has neither relapsed or continued any further. Such a decision needs to be made carefully, looking at the whole case, the shift of symptoms, the direction of cure, the activity of the miasm, new symptoms, which symptoms do not change, any worsening of symptoms.

10M is a powerful potency and the side effects from misuse might last a lifetime. I do not approve of self-prescribing for chronic problems as it rarely works and usually ends up with the person worse off than when they started, but I would stick to 30c. Taking 4 doses of 10M would be extremely risky, unless someone has made that decision based on the totality of the case.

Ok, thanks for your advice.

Actually I have tried all the lower potencies of lycopodium (30C,200C and 1M) and then moved up to 10M as the lower potencies gave partial relief.

My mental and physical state matches very well with lycopodium.
I have taken Lycopodium 30C many times and it doesn't affects me at all. On taking Lycopodium 200C, I get heat flashes throughout my body few hours after taking the remedy. Slight relief in physical symptoms but no change in mental state. Same occurs with Lycopodium 1M. I think I am sort of hyposensitive and since my ailments are chronic and have developed slowly in period of 5-6 years, higher potency of lycopodium will show effects. That is why I moved to 10M potency.

It is the wrong remedy then. Continuing to go up in potency runs a risk of creating side effects. Get someone to take your case properly and prescribe a more appropriate medicine.

The simillimum creates improvement regardless of the potency. Having already used 3 potencies of a remedy shows it is incorrect.

10M is not chosen on the basis of hypersensitivity or chronicity of complaints. The disease must be expressing itself in a particular way. For 10M to be effective, either the intensity of the disease must be very high, the peculiar symptoms of the case must all match the remedy (and preferably be small or single symptom peculiars), or the patient must be expressing the core sensation of the substance (being small and having to grow larger).

Generally speaking, you move up in potency because the lower potencies helped, but either did not last or only solved parts of the overall problem. You need to look at what did not change to decide if the remedy still matches those things, and if the potency you are moving to will cover them.

No remedy that matches the symptoms well, does not work. The only remedy that does not work, is the one that does not match the core state (despite whatever superfical symptoms might appear to match). Establishing a totality and matching that to a remedy to get cure is a difficult process, and takes both training and skill. Understanding your own core state is almost impossible, since you can only see from inside of it. Just like counselling, you cannot do it on yourself, but need an objective outside party.

Ok, as per your advice I didn't repeated the dose and it has been 10 days and no aggravation or improvement is noted.

I have been trying to study about the theories and concepts of homeopathy since past few years and I have found that every person has his own theory in prescription of remedies based on his experience and this is perhaps the most confusing branch of medical science. Classical homeopaths support the use of only one remedy to bring complete cure in all ailments whereas modern homeopaths support the theory that state of patient comprises of different layers which have been developed through years and to bring the cure multiple remedies should be given. And both the approaches have fair number of treated cases.

Anyways, I have posted my case here -

Please tell if something can be done in my case or my state is what is called in language of homeopathy- 'incurable'.

Patient has posted his case -
and the link is http://abchomeopathy.

When you do two posts like this you start
getting all sorts of answers and
everything gets confused. So stick
with your treatment thread so someone
can fully supervise your case.
