The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Attn: Mr. De Livera - Infant Acid Reflux/Food Allergies

I was wondering if you could give me some information about using Nat Phos 6x for my 5 month old daughter. She has silent reflux, food allergies, eczema and cradle cap. She has been on Nexium since 1 month old. I was breastfeeding exclusively and elimination diets helped somewhat but even with me eating only meat, fruit, and vegetables she continued to decline and by 3 months would not breastfeed except asleep. The GI Dr told me to stop breastfeeding and switch to Elecare elemental formula to heal her gut. Elecare was better than breastfeeding but it is still a struggle to get her to drink, she must be sleepy/asleep, her reflux is still bad and not well controlled by meds and her eczema is bad as well.
Recently, after an increase to 20mg Nexium did not improve her reflux pain enough (it did help some), we switched to Prevacid. Her stools, which had previously been normal, became either diarrhea or full of mucous with pink streaks. Her sleep which had previously been fairly decent was horribly disrupted by the pain and she was up multiple times a night. Finally after over two weeks with very little pain improvement and continued mucousy stools her Dr said to go back to the Nexium. We have been back on Nexium for a little over a week and her pain is slightly better but she still has a lot of trouble sleeping and her stools are still mucousy (though not as bad). I know the Prevacid messed up her gut but I do not know what to do. I also suspect she reacts to the Elecare (because her reflux and eczema are still uncontrolled) but I have been unable to find a formula she can tolerate better.
Do you think Nat Phos 6x could help? I do think there is more going on than just reflux, she also has food intolerances. If you do think it would help then how would I administer? Also do I have to stop the Nexium while I give her the Nat Phos 6x? I am scared to do so because she got so much worse last time we stopped it. Is there anything else you think might help her? Thank you in advance for any ideas.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am appalled to learn that your 5 months old baby has been on a PPI (Proton Pump Inhibitor) drug Nexium at the adult dose of 20mg !!! and when this did not work switching over to Prevacid.

Please STOP ALL DRUGS when you start on my Nat Phos 6x therapy which I copy below.
You should observe that baby will respond to the Nat Phos in a manner that is unbelievable and I would request you to report your observations on this thread with details of the time delay before he responded.

Please also Google for 'The danger of using PPI drugs' to learn how your paediatrician exposed your baby to what can be classifies as POISON.

I copy my default therapy below:

It is very likely that your baby suffers from Gastric Reflux aka GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux Disease)

The remedies that have proved to be very effective for Baby GERD are:

Nat Phos 6x dose half tablet dissolved in milk given immediately after a feed.
Nux Vomica 30c in the Wet dose about 300ml after a feed twice daily.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

You will STOP all other drugs prescribed for baby which as you have already seen have not done any good.

Please confirm that you burp baby immediately after each feed.

You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby. You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.

You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily and Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby. You may like to know that this remedy will also help to reduce your weight by 1kg per week very safely.

Report progress in 24 hours and as often as you wish on this thread .

Thank you for your reply. I am not breast feeding, she drinks Elecare formula because as I noted above she reacted to my breast milk. However I have just found a source for grass fed organic RAW cow milk and will be trying that for her as soon as I can get some.

Does the Nat Phos 6x and Nux Vomica 30c have to be given after a feed or would it work if given right before a feed? I ask because she tends to go to sleep on the bottle and I would have to wake her to give her the doses.

Also one more question. If I take the Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily will that help my reflux as well? I do not have typical reflux symptoms, just an ongoing sore thoat that gets much worse if I drink coffee, wine or anything really acidic. I do not currently take any medication for it.

Thank you again for your time and information.

I do not see any objection to your giving the Nat Phos 6x before a feed.

I would however prefer that you give her the Nux V whenever she is awake and NOT before her feed.

Nat Phos 6x dose 2-4 tablets for you will CURE your problems.

You will also benefit from Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.
