FIP feline infectious peritonitis HELP please! Page 2 of 2

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hello!
I was just reading your replies on Feline Infectious Peritonitis and was wondering if you could tell me about the remedy Volantis was talking about please?
I'm doing an assignment for my Diploma in Animal Healing on this subject and am looking for homeopathic and alternative remedies that would help it.

Thank you very much for your time!
Kind regards,
Rebecca Prinsloo

Volantis may be a herbal remedy. A homeopathic remedy is not generally a specific remedy for disease. The homeopathic remedy is arrived at on the basis of totality of symptoms patient has.

No Kadwa I understand that, it isn't what I'm asking but thanks anyway.

Many drug provings take place every day. Volantis may be a homeopathic remedy now but it doesn't appear in the complete repertory. Google also doesn't give any search results for this homeopathic remedy.

No Volantis was the username of the person who had replied to this post earlier and was talking about a remedy, thanks.

Hello!
I just found out my sister's cat was just diagnosed with the wet form of FIP. We are desperately trying to find a way to help.

I also urgently want to find out what the user Volantis was talking about.

Please if anyone knows or has other advice, please contact me!

I live in Sydney Australia, my cat may have this horrible disease but i believe we can fight it and put an end t it! People have beat other fatal diseases with hope and healthy food so we can beat this. This year I'm starting my training to being a vet, I want to mix homeopathy into it and let everyone know about the cure we find, so any remedies or anything that can help me please let me know

If someone could post the recipe of that site I'd appreciate it endlessly

I have no idea what the recipe on that site was as I cannot read it either, but we have basically been trying to treat our cat with raw meat and supplements.
She does better on it.

hi everyone....

yesterday, baby jools was found not breathing on the floor in the cat's room.

she lost her fight against FIP. i am so sad coz i was not prepared for this. she was cheerful, playful and was looking like she is getting better, she sleeps with me every nite...

i would like to thank everyone who has sent me emails and share with me their remedies.

i believe baby jools is in a happier place and i am missing her so so very much...

thank you once again...

I am so sorry to hear that!

Our cat actually passed away as well, on Valentine's Day.
The food we were giving her definitely made her so much better, and she survived about 5 months longer than the vet said she would (he gave her only a few hours when she was diagnosed), but we were really hoping she was on the road to recovery when she got SO much better eating raw, organic meat and supplements, etc.
I guess the diet works well, it just wasn't enough to beat FIP.

I hope you are doing ok. Losing a pet really hurts more than people might think.
But I believe that both kitties are free of suffering and in a happier place now.

hi misty,

thank you for your kind words and u r right about giving raw, organic meat and supplements.

the group has suggested that and it was worth the efford and journey to caring for our kittens/cats with FIP.

baby jools was diagnosed on the 21st Jan, which makes it 1 month and 3 days of her survival which she lost yesterday.

yes, i agree with you, loosing a pet hurts.

thank you once again to all for your kind support and guidance.

regards.

My one year old cat appears to have FIP. That's what the vet told us. The poor thing is all skin and bones. Barely moves except for eating and using the litter box.

Has anyone figured out what herbal formula Volantis was talking about?

What homeopathic remedy should I give my cat? The symptoms are:
Lethargy, severe weight loss, fever and anemia. There is no distended abdomen so it appears to be the dry kind.

Thank you

EVERYONE!!! This is what you can do.

I thought I would try to clarify some things for everyone who comes here looking for answers.

First of all, I have not been able to find out what Volantis was talking about. There are a few other immune support formulas that are advertised to help with FIP (like this http://www.holisticanimalmedicines.com/store/feline_infectio....

Some things that MAY help with DRY FIP are
feline interferon OR polyprenyl immunostimulant by Sass and Sass.

And for WET OR DRY FIP
Lymphocyte T-Cell Immunomodulator MAY help.

I would strongly recommend really looking into ALL three of these online and finding a smart vet to really talk this through.

I'd personally also recommend probiotics and a raw meat diet. For ANY TYPE of FIP.

If you are interested in a HOMEOPATHIC approach I would strongly suggest reading this:
http://hpathy.com/veterinary-homeopathy/feline-infectious-pe....

I also want to urge everyone to get the clearest possible diagnosis from your vet. There have been a few sad cases of cats that were euthanized and then found to not have had FIP.

FIP is a very sad diagnosis, and we too have lost a wonderful cat to FIP, but we tried everything and ended up extending her life by almost half a year (the doctor predicted she would make it up to two more days when she was finally diagnosed).

I wish everyone all the best.
