Nat phos 6x - reflux - 3 month old

Hi,

I have a 3 month old daughter and she has had severe reflux since she was 3 weeks old (vomiting after feeding) and silent reflux.

We found out that she has an allergy to the milk protein so she is on hypersensitive formula but her reflux is still present.

I ordered her Natrum Phos 6x in liquid form (because it is dairy free) and would like to give it a try. Directions say to take 2 drops in a tsp of water for children but it doesn't say how often. Also, could I put it directly in her formula bottle or should it be given before the feeding and how long before? She normally eats right away when she wakes up.

Should I expect symptoms to be worse before they get better?

Thank you for any help. I really appreciate it

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Nat Phos 6x will be in tablets. You can give her 1 tab two times after powdering it . How have you come to know it is milk allergy/intolerance to milk?Is she on mothers milk or tinned milk?

As the first homeopath to prescribe Nat Phos 6x for Baby GERD, which I have done for over the last 15 years, I am glad to note that others who have read about my therapy aka 'Joepathy' are also using it for their babies instead of rushing to their paediatrician to be prescribed a PPI drug like Omeprazol or Nexium or other similar drug all of which are not recommended for adults and much less for babies.

One has only to do a search on Google under:
'The danger of using PPI Drugs'
to read about the dangerous side effects of using any PPI drug in the long term.

As has been pointed out by anul srivastava, the Nat Phos 6x used for GERD is only marketed in tablet form. If you are using the liquid form it is NOT the Biochemic Cell Salt and is the Homeopathic product which does not work in the manner that the tablet does.

For the record I shall copy below my default therapy for Baby GERD:

It is very likely that your baby suffers from Gastric Reflux aka GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux Disease)

The remedy that has proved to be very effective for Baby GERD is:

Nat Phos 6x dose half tablet dissolved in milk given immediately after a feed.
If you discover that baby does not respond to the half tablet you can increase the dosage to a full tablet given after every feed but not to exceed 5 tablets in 24 hours.

It is essential that you burp baby immediately after each feed.

You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby. You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.

You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily and Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby. You may like to know that this remedy will also help to reduce your weight by 1kg per week very safely.

Report progress in 24 hours or as often as you wish on this thread .

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

Anuj and Joe,

I really appreciate both your replies.

Just to clarify again, she is not breastfed (anymore) but on special hypersensitive formula due to a milk protein allergy. Therefore I cannot use the tablets like both of you recommended because all of them contain lactose.

This is why I got her the Nat Phos liquid and Im wondering why it wouldn't work for the GERD, Joe? Cant I just add 2 drops to the formula bottle 3 or 4 times a day?

Thank you for your reply!!

I have already answered your question in my last post as copied below:

'As has been pointed out by anul srivastava, the Nat Phos 6x used for GERD is only marketed in tablet form. If you are using the liquid form it is NOT the Biochemic Cell Salt and is the Homeopathic product which does not work in the manner that the tablet does. '

It is only the Biochemic Cell Salt of Nat Phos 6x that will work to alleviate GERD as the Homeopathic drops in Alcohol will not.

I believe that you are only theorising about baby's presumed Lactose Intolerance which is unheard of, as far as I am aware, in BABIES whose digestive systems are designed to digest MILK (LACTOSE).

I also believe that you have been mislead by your advisor that your baby's present condition is due to Lactose Intolerance when she is in fact suffering from BABY GERD for which condition I have already prescribed my therapy which has helped many babies too numerous to record.

You may like to do a Search for BABY GERD by typing these 2 words into the Search window on every page on this forum to read the many cases I have helped to solve their baby's GERD. ALL these cases were due to Baby GERD and NOT due to Lactose Intolerance.

I believe that you are only wasting your time in not using my default therapy for Baby GERD as it is your own BABY that is suffering from your procrastination.

Joe,

be patient with me. I truly appreciate the time you take to answer my questions and will take your advice into consideration.

So what you are saying is that the liquid doesn't work because its not a cell salt but the homeopathic version?

The website I purchased the product clearly states that its a cell salt in liquid form. The forum wont allow me to post the link but the website is called 'Healthy Goods' and the product is called 'Hylands Natrum Phos 6x Liquid Cell Salt', 2 oz

She def has a milk protein intolerance. Back when I was still nursing it made a huge difference when I stayed away from dairy completely. She cant tolerate the formula that is milk based (fussy, gassy, vomiting) but can handle the hyper allergenic one (the ones where all the proteins are already broken down) I know that doesn't mean shes lactose intolerant automatically but wanted to be on the safe side.

I will order some Nat Phos tablets and give them a try. Could they be put into the bottle of formula directly or does it HAVE to be after the feeding? Im just trying to think of the practical way for her to keep it in. She will be more likely to spit up/vomit up whatever she consumed last and I wouldn't want her to get rid of it as soon as she ingests it. Her problem is not only so much the reflux but also the vomiting/spit up right after the feed. Her stomach seems to have spasms sometimes and she can only digest small amount of foods.

It does say that the liquid form contains 20% alcohol which I wasn't aware when ordering.

The dose would be 2 drops but I would still not want to expose my baby to any trace of alcohol.

Joe I need help. I have been giving nat phos 6x to my 3 month old for 2 weeks now and it has been working like a dream until about 3 days ago. She is starting to spit up again. Sometimes clear liquid (stomach acid) and after she eats (formula) and it will be curdled. 3 days ago I started incorporating more formula bc I am not going back to work. Before she was breastfed with only one bottle of formula a day. Could it be her body adjusting to more fomula?

Glad to note that you have been using the Nat Phos 6x therapy I pioneered way back in 2005 to help your baby overcome her baby GERD. My therapy is not the standard therapy referred to in the Homeopathic Text Books but is based on my own discoveries using standard Homeopathic remedies in a manner that is non classical and has often resulted in many clashes on this ABC and other forums I used to visit daily in the past till I established my own Website which you are invited to visit:

www.joedelivera.com

You can read of the many cases of desperate mothers whose babies suffered untold agony under the prescribed PPI drugs like Zantac, Prevacid and others who then consulted homeopaths on this ABC and whose babies still continue to suffer from refluxing their feed till they contact me.

I am monitoring a case currently on the ABC which has been ongoing for 3 weeks with the baby still throwing up as before as the learned homeopath just refuses to use Nat Phos 6x to help baby, which it usually does almost overnight.

I shall copy my default therapy for Baby GERD below:

I shall copy my default therapy for Baby GERD which I hope will help your baby too.

The remedy that has proved to be very effective for Baby GERD is:

Nat Phos 6x dose 1 tablet dissolved in milk given immediately after a feed. You will not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours.

In your Baby’s case, you will have to ADD Nux Vomica 30c in the Wet dose and you will give a teaspoonful as the dose twice daily before a feed. You will observe that the NV will reinforce the action of the Nat P and baby should respond in 24 hours when you will please report progress here.

It is essential that you burp baby immediately after each feed.

You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby. You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.

I do NOT recommend that a baby is vaccinated in the manner that is done today even before leaving hospital after birth and later in a few months after. The reason is the fact that a baby’s body is not able to cope with the chemicals and attenuated viruses that are used which will result in a reaction usually accompanied with fever which is suppressed with an analgesic at that tender age. The chances of a baby being exposed to any viral infection up to a year is virtually nil and it is best to vaccinate after the baby is at least a year old, preferably twice that age when the body is better able to cope.

I prefer not to be addressed as “Joe” except by my peers and close friends, as in my country Sri Lanka, there is a certain modicum of respect reserved for age.

I am 85 years old.

It is just that I tolerated being called Joe all these years till it dawned on me that many of my patients use a Pseudonym in their posts and this includes you, while I am addressed by my given name which I decided to stop.

Hello

I just purchased nat phos 6x but I'm not sure if I should get anything else.

My baby is 5 weeks and she spits up a lot and grunts as soon as I lay her down, the only way she sleeps is if she is completely straight up so my husband and I take turns at night, otherwise she grunts until she wakes up crying. We have tried inclined and no angle works.

Please help
