2 week old with acid reflux Nat Phos 6x dose?My two week old has horrible reflux. He does not spit up. In fact he doesn't ever spit up. It just gurgles then goes back down. It is awful watching this process.
He is exclusively breast fed and I don't want to change this.
He has not exhibited allergy symptoms but I am cutting out dairy anyway just to make sure.
My pediatrician has diagnosed acid reflux and doesn't want to prescribe medication if he is still eating which is great! But he needs some sort of relief.
Can I give him Nat Phos 6x? If so how much and how since he doesn't take a bottle.
Please give some suggestions.
I have tried different nursing positions and have kept him upright after meals. He still suffers. By daytime he is exhausted and we are all miserable.

of water after a feeding. Do not give more than 5 times in
a 24 hour period.
If this works, you gradually reduce doses till none
are needed. There are other remedies for reflux if
this does not solve the problem.

In homeopathy cell salts are considered as a sub branch. There
are 12 cell Salts. You can see them in Whole Foods near the
remedies sections ( hylands brand) The cell salt works by
balancing out the cell interior so nutrients can be absorbed right, etc.
Nat Phos 6x is the cell salt that balances out acidity. Colic/gerd
is an acute condition that usually goes on its own by 4 months,
they don't know the reason for it.
Nat Phos often takes care of this problem in a week or days.
The other remedies given for reflux are based on symptoms, given
in a higher potency like 30c.
You have to answer questions to narrow the range to pick a remedy.
What makes this better?
What makes it worse?
What is the stool like?
What time of day or night does this come on?
What color is the babies face?
Does the baby want to be rocked, carried or cuddled?
Does the baby double over or curl up?
Is there a lot of bloating and gas after nursing?
Is the baby better after rubbing the stomach and a warm blanket?
Does the baby sweat on the head?
Remedies for Colic are commonly . Cal Carb, Carbo veg, Chamomilla,
Mag phos, Lycopodium, Colocynthis, Nux Vomica, Pulsatilla, and more.
