UTI with very little symptoms

I'm nearly 50 and I don't remember every having a Urinary Tract Infection until about a month ago. The only symptom I had was a slight sensation when I started to urinate. The sensation was not burning but more of a tickle. I knew something wasn't right. I also had some itching. I took a yeast infection test which was negative and a UTI test, which came up positive. I have since been through two rounds of antibiotics. After the second round I finally got a negative UTI test result. A couple weeks past and I started to feel that feeling again (without the itching). Sure enough I have another UTI. I took probiotics while I was on antibiotics...but I certainly do not want to take another round of antibiotics.

I haven't had any of the discomfort that people talk about with UTI's. I have notices some night sweating, which may or may not be related. I just got blood work done and am not in menopause. I did however get a very elevated CRP number, which I've never had in the past.

Yesterday I started taking a chinese herb called Akebia Moist Heat, which I heard is affective. I can stop taking that if I start taking the homeopathy....unless you think the Akebia Moist Heat will be beneficial.

Thank you.
Kristen

Hi Rishimba,
Thanks for the response. OK, here goes...

I'm female and I will be turning 50 mid May. I'm an artist. I mostly paint with acrylic paints and love color. I generally work with quite a bit of ventilation, in the garage with the door open. I'm married with two young daughters (8 & 10). I also do quite a bit of volunteer work teaching art to young children.

1) My main suffering is a reoccurring UTI that I've had off and on for the past 6 weeks. I've taken two rounds of anibiotics, which I really don't like to take. I recently had blood work which came up all very good, aside from the CRP, which showed that I had a lot of inflammation. I recently took a pharmacy test which came up very strong for a UTI again. I've had very little pain with it. I'm able to relieve myself easily and without pain. There is some pressure as I'm starting to release however and a little tingle. I also have had periodic itching.

2) I have sensitivity and inflammation in the ear and throat area. I get itching in the ears and can be susceptible to an irritation cough at night. I also can get white in the pockets of the back of my throat but it doesn't occur often like it use to. I have a stiff lower back and gluts. I can feel week in the muscle area between my thigh and groan. I also hold tension between my shoulder blades. I have small bunions on my feet as well. I also have bouts with excessive gas and slightly loose bowel.

3) I'm fairly in tune with my body and know what foods I should avoid to feel good. I tend towards guilt when I eat foods that I shouldn't, which seems sometimes worse for me than the actual food. I also worry about inflammation in my body.

4) Like I said, I haven't felt much suffering with this UTI. I'm worried about it though because I'm aware if untreated it can lead to further problems. I also worry about the affects of antibiotics. When I'm feeling the UTI the most it's just slight pressure while urinating.

5) The UTI started no more than two months ago. Prior I had never had a UTI. I can't think of an event related.

6) I guess I feel it more in the afternoon than in the morning.

7) This is hard to answer due to the fact that I have very little physical pain from the UTI.

8) It's possible that the UTI could be related to menopause. I did however just get blood work done that showed that I was not in menopause at this time. I do get occasional night hot flashes. Mostly around my period. They've been more frequent recently, which might be related to UTI.

9) I feel better in warm dry weather. But I enjoy temporary time in the cold. I don't enjoy wind.

10) I think I get along with most people. When pushed, I can be hostile and will take on an argument. I'm good under pressure but don't like it at all. I rarely sit around but I really don't like to be over scheduled. I tend to always want to physically move to a new place. I can get agitated easily. I tend to have strong opinions. I can't watch or read really upsetting things because I take it on. I worry about the world and the under dogs. I also worry more than some about my kids safety. I get bouts of anxiety.

I love thunderstorms, although rarely see them where I live. I have lived places where I was able to enjoy them. I think thunderstorms are mysterious and invigorating. I like being alone during my tough times, although I'll often call a good friend. I'm very sensitive to external stimuli. I don't think I have any really strong habits, although I'm bothered by the fact that I eat too quickly. My husband says I make strange breathing sounds in my sleep regularly.

I have a great group of loving and supportive friends and a happy family life. My husband is a very strong, loving and a loyal person. My kids are creative, kind, smart little human beings. My painting helps me to maintain who I am in this life, while putting a lot of my time an energy into being a wife and mom. I've gotten very discerning about who I spend time and energy with. IN situations with people that I'm not close to, I often find myself listening, rather than talking. I have relationships with my parents but don't feel close. My mom tends to do all the talking and my dad's unhappiness affects almost every conversation.

11) I feel like I'm always trying to balance the place of good parenting and intuition with paranoia, when it comes to safety with my kids. I worry about cars quite a bit. I also worry about unstable people with interest in children. I never allow my mind to go to a place of actually seeing these things happen. I'm able to control that. It's just more that I get overwhelming feelings of fear around certain situations. I tend to want to move and experience new things. I've always been that way. I feel that life is about experiences. I also always long for more physical space around me. I tend to get anxiety feeling like there's so much to get done.

12) I tend to crave chocolate, salt, wine coffee and black tea. I sometime crave diet cokes but have them very rarely. I also get cravings for mayonaise with hard boiled eggs, vegetables or cheese. I love most foods that are fresh, healthy and well made. My eversion are to alfa sprouts and anything highly processed.

13) I feel thirsty often. I drink a lot of water and really love it. I don't like juice, sparking water or sugary drinks at all.

14) I think my hunger is normal. I'm rarely hungry in the AM. I get hungary around 10:00, although sometimes I eat before. I definitely eat too fast.

15) Sugar is hard on my body. Sugars with carbohydrate are the worst. Coffee's tough too.

16) I think I sweat quite a bit but only in the underarm area. Usually without a lot of odor.

17) My bowel movements are probably looser than most...but not extreme. I can get gassy. I always relieve myself first thing in the AM. I occasionally get constipated. I've been told I have diverticuli.

18) I've always slept very well. Since having children I wake up more in my sleep but not because of sound. If I wake up I move to another room and can generally fall back to sleep. My husband thinks I have sleep apnea because of the sounds I make. I'm getting it checked out in a couple of weeks.

19) I don't have fantasies or desire for more sexually...although I could probably let go more in my relationships.

20) I think my desire to move and change venues is unusual. Although I never desire to leave my family behind. I think I can't stand to live in any situation that feels mundane or stagnant. I like to keep things changing. My art helps that situation.

21) I took two different antibiotics, which didn't work. I took probiotics, so I didn't end up with a yeast infection. I have now taken Akebia Moist Heat for three days. My bowels are looser because of it. It's hard to say if it helping with UTI because of my mild symptoms. I will take test in a couple days.

22) High cholesterol. Grandfathers had heart attacks. My dad has atrial Fibulation as well as lymphoma and leukemia. My guess is he's always had OCD as well as depression. I believe my mom has high blood pressure. My dad and sister are recovered alcoholics. I think anxiety runs in the family.

23) I am 5'10 and about 160 lbs. I exercise regularly and feel strong. I have long dark very thick hair and light brown eyes. I have medium brown skin and freckles. My background is celtic, german and yugoslavian. If I carry extra weight it's generally in the thigh area.

24) My menstrual cycles are normal. They use to be 6-7 days long...now 3-4. I get cramping the day before cycle and the first day. I get extreme bloating prior that released on the first day. Not only do I retain water, I also feel that I get constipated prior.

25) I had mumps when I was 5 or so. At five I also had to be stitched in the private area, from an accident. This does not affect sex. I was told I had chronic cryptic Tonsilitus as well as acid reflex five years ago. This caused a chronic cough, which I was able to treat naturally. I've generally been very healthy. I tend to feel fatigued often but manage to work through it. I'm a big fan of a 20 minute nap in the early afternoon. I feel great after that.

Wow...there you go. That was a lot. I have anxiety about putting all this on a forum.

Thanks Rishimba.

Hi Kristen,

The homeopathic remedy that you will need most in the next few months and possibly years is LACHESIS MUTUS.

This remedy will not only cure your minor UTI related problems, but on a larger scale, will help you to come out of sleep apnea and others like bloating, gas etc. before periods.

Tell your hubby, he shouldn't be worried now and he wouldn't be disturbed anymore by your snores!!

Take only two doses of LACHESIS 200C on a single day, each dose 30 minutes apart. Take this first thing in the morning on a weekend so that you can sleep for another hour without eating, drinking or washing your mouth.

One dose would be 3 to 4 drops of remedy in a tablespoon of water.

Note the changes in your sleep and all other symptoms for the next 10 days and report to me.

If it sets a reaction in your body for good, you can repeat the dose infrequently as and when your symptoms relapse.

Hi Rishimba,
I will definitely get back to you. I have one question. Can we work with 30c pellets or do I need to find drops?

I appreciate you time.
Thank you!
Kristen

Pellets are fine too provided you don't bite, crush or swallow them. If you want to take the remedy in pellet form, keep 2 pellets under your tongue and let them dissolve and get absorbed by themselves in the next one hour.

Don't take any food, drinks or rinse your mouth for the next one hour.
