11 year old daughter with whooping cough

Hello,
My daughter caught the whooping cough from my 11 month old son. He is doing much better thanks to your help in finding a remedy for him. Now unfortunately I need to turn my attention to my daughter. She is 11 years old, she says she's had the severe cough for 4 or 5 days now. Here's her symptoms:
- Dry, choking cough
- Feeling of stuck mucus
- coughs until she is out of breath and then she tries to swallow really hard to be able to take a breath in again. - - Her nose is stuffy, but sometimes runny.
- is afraid she will throw up because of coughing fit
- the cough makes her gag
- sore throat
- sometimes pain in chest when she coughs
- stomach hurts from coughing

I have not witnessed a coughing spell, these symptoms are what she has told me is going on. I moved her mattress into my room so I can monitor her tonight.

Many thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
2 more things I just remembered:

- cough is worse at night
- coughing makes her eyes water

Ok I am going to change my focus here from the cough to the mucous itself. I would like you to obtain Kali-bich 200c for both of your children.

Expectoration thick
Expectoration viscid
Expectoration stringy
Expectoration, mucous, tenacious
Expectoration, copious
Cough from mucous in larynx
Cough painful
Cough paroxysmal
Cough racking
Cough suffocative

Make a dose in a bottle and dose as per previous instructions. Make sure if you are using the same bottle as the Belladonna it is thoroughly washed with clean hot water NOT detergent.

Give one dose every 4 hours for a maximum of 3 doses. Stop if any symptom worsens or if they improve to about 70%.

It is too late at night here to get it in 200c and he is not doing well. I happen to have it in 6c only. I will get the 200c tomorrow if I can find it!! What can I do for the night time?

It looks like my easiest options for tomorrow are kali bichromicum 30c or 12x md. I will call around to some other places too.

Hi-

Get the 30c tomorrow- In usa they almost never have anything above
a 30c. You have to order online. There is a Service called Homeopathy
Overnight that maybe pricey bc they use an overnight Fed X or one of those.

In the future, anytime you are advised a 200c, it would be rare to
find it in a store.

Yes use 6c if you have that on hand. Make sure that you hit the bottle before each dose. Place the drops directly in her mouth rather than in water. Repeat every 15 minutes until either 6 doses have been given or the symptoms worsen or improve markedly.

Get hold of 30c if that is easiest. We can move to that if the 6c does not hold well.

I could have been more clear to tell you I just have 6c in pellet form. I just dissolved 3 pellets in 250 ml of water, stirred briskly and gave him 2 tsp. did I do that correctly?

Many thanks.

This is the problem with having two threads where we talk about different people. Obviously I would have preferred you used Belladonna on him again first before moving to Kali-bic. Well it is done now, so continue as I have instructed here and we will see what happens.

I am sorry for the confusion. He responded to the kali bich very quickly and is breathing better now, less congestion and worked through his last cough quickly and better. Should I give him another dose now? It has been an hour since I gave the first one.

I'm so sorry for the confusion of different threads. I would have followed your directions with the belladonna, but I saw this thread first.
About my 11 year old daughter,
Upon observing her overnight and talking with her at length the next morning, it appeared to me that I was incorrect in what I told you, she s was describing symptoms from several weeks ago mixed in with current ones. What I observed was that she slept very peacefully with an occasional mild cough spell or two. She IS still coughing, and says sometimes her chest hurts and stomach is sore from it, but it still seems like she is in the latter stages of whooping cough, and she is stable, I think. If I could go back, I would have waited to open this thread until after I monitored her, but I alas, I was worn down and anxious about the prospect of two children in the worse stage of whooping cough. Righty now I need to redirect my focus toward my son since decline.
