Today give him another dose of Lachesis 1M.

From tomorrow afternoon you can start giving Merc. Sol 30 as being done previously.

No other medicine for 24 hours after giving Lachesis.

father feel there is improvement as compared to before homoeopathic treatment?

John Stanton 2 decades ago
yes.,.. there is a slight reduction of ulcers, pain.
But not completely gone. There is definetely some improvement.

father has taken 1 dose of Lachesis , yesterday morning, and from today (after 24hrs), we have again started Merc.Sol30, as usual. How many days should he take ??
(Also, yesterday, my father unknowingly , banged his head against a cupboard, there is a minor bruise on the forehead, no major blood ?? any antiseptic/antitetanus homeopathic to be given, since he was taking Lachesis, Merc.Sol, he has not taken anything, just applied antiseptic cream on the forehead.

amitavam 2 decades ago
start --arnica 30c for bruise on head --if was severe enough to be addressed--

Father has taken Lachesis 1M on 22/07/04 in the morning. Merc.Sol30 has again started
from 23/07/04 as per advice. Today (24/07/04) it appears that pain / burning of ulcers
as well as blisters surrounding the mouth has increased. Throat pain (left side) remain the same
without any improvement.
Pl. advice.

increase/aggravation requires to cease taking merc--allow symptoms settle and reaccess..unless 'grave ' intensity of symptoms-then remedy required..

John Stanton 2 decades ago
"... unless 'grave ' intensity of symptoms...new remedy or potency change required...."

John Stanton 2 decades ago
Pl. clarify ... i am not getting you ...
is it the reaction of Lachesis 1M ???

amitavam 2 decades ago
could be from lachesis or merc--BUT MUST cease giving any more remedies and allow symptoms to settle--then reaccessment is manditory...

IF current symptoms are TOO intense, then intervention of some sort is required---

has there been any change AT ALL in father's sleep/energy level/attitude/temperament? or in any other area of 'being'? DISCUSS THIS CLOSELY WITH FATHER..

John Stanton 2 decades ago
Before i recd this post, father has taken 1 dose of Merc.Sol30 today morning. Further doses for the moment will be discontinued, in order to settle down the sysmptom, as suggested. There is no further aggravation as reported yesterday. There is no change in sleep and loss of energy noticed.
Please advice, when to again start the remedy ?.

amitavam 2 decades ago
accessment entails going over information to observe exactly what current symptomology is and what has actually changed....this need be compared to original symptom picture...please take time and give thorough detailed report--using all past questons as guideline--reanswer each question--if not willing then TRUE accesssment cannot be made...

Attention : Mr. John / Mr. Pankaj

Before taking homeopathic medicine, there was too much pain/burning in the tongue and blisters in the mouth, causing difficult to talk as well as taking food, even movement of tongue was very painful.
Nitric Acid30,one dose, taken on 30/06/04. After 3 days, there was no improvement. On 03/07/04, Calc.Carb30, one dose was taken. There was slight improvement found after 3 days, but not remarkable. On 07/07/04, Calc.Carb200 was taken, with no further improvement noticed, till
09/07/04, but slight throat pain was noticed.
As adviced by Dr.Pankaj, BP was checked and found 160/100, though there was no symptom of BP earlier. On 10/07/04, Lachesis 1M, one dose, taken in the morning. After 48hrs, condition of ulcers, blisters were better. One ulcer which was 1/4"" in diameter was reduced, but throat pain (left side only) was increased. On 13/07/04, Merc.Sol30, 4 times a day for 7 days were taken.
No further improvement was noticed. On 22/07/04, Lacesis 1M, again taken one dose only. After 24 hrs i.e, on 23/07/04 again Merc.Sol30 has been started, 4 times a day. Pain/burning of ulcers were increased and it is now difficult to talk or taking food. As adviced Merc.Sol30 has been stopped from today morning.
The result as of today (25/07/04) are as under :
1. Movement of tongue, which was painful earlier is now possible to move without pain.
2. As reported earlier that one of the ulcers which was 1/4" diameter in size has reduced, but pain is still there.
3. Colour of the ulcers are similar to colour of the tongue.
4. The pain/burning on the ulcers has increased.
5. Throat pain (left side only) has increased further.
6. Blisters surrounding the mouth are more active now.
7. Stool is now normal, without having mucous.

Please advice, what is the next remedy to be given.

ulcers /blisters spread? or same ones /same positions keep occuring?

John Stanton 2 decades ago
There is a slight aggravation due to giving Lachesis. This will persist for 24 hours and then the healing will show up. There will be improvement each day.

(This is called homeopathic aggravation or "healing crisis").

This is clear indication that the medicine is working.

Wait 48 hours (from time of giving Lachesis) before restarting Merc.Sol.

Good Luck,
Pankaj Varma
