Kind attn Dr. Evocationer could you kindly take up the case of my child Page 2 of 5

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear dr. Evocationer,

Here's an update on my daughters Heath.

1. I feel a lot of good energy and that being difficult factor is 90% better.Shes making more friends at school. Enjoying more. Gets ready to school in no time. Is not difficult even if she slept late the previous night. Thank you made my life better. I was going into depression.

2. She still coughs everyday which is dry and soon gets productive and clears through her throat. This happens Atleast once some times 2 to 3 times. Each one might last an hour. Rest of the day she's fine. Wheezing is absent or very mild that goes away after coughing I guess.
She's been out in the cold 45 F played in the snow with thin coat not zipped up and thin cotton leggings. She was out more than an hour yesterday and did okay. Coughed a little she coughs daily anyway didn't make difference. Rarely coughs in sleep.

3. She still sweats a lot in the head. Sometimes less but mostly a lot. When she sweats less its on the forehead.

4. Mostly still sleeps with her mouth open. Does not complain of dry mouth in the morning. At times palms of hand lack softness but most of the time like her palms used to be baby soft.

5.Today at bedtime she was joking and laughed a lot and tried to gasp for breath then coughed and after that her nose got blocked. Gave nasal spray but didn't put too much. Nose is still blocked. My husband says she sneezed long before 2 times. Now she's asleep with mouth wide open and a feeble snore kind of thing with breathing. These days she sleeps with closed mouth then mouth parts a wee bit. Sometimes a wee bit more.

6.Her eating is 95% better. She doesn't resist food like she used to.
I don't force like I used to earlier. I Alaska her if she wants more she says yes. When I tell she don't need to finish she says no I want to eat all of it.

Eating on her own 50% better.
Don't like cleaning herself in the toilet. Makes up reasons etc.

7.She does not seem pale anymore but still has depressions under eyes which developed due to past cold and breathing history. They do seem a little better than before.

8.Her left big toe developed a hard corn kind of thing. With a pointy tip and is hard. Is shaped like pimple with a tip on the palm side of the left big toe. It hurts if presses or passing finger across through it.

9. 2 days back she had a little bit of some ready made noodles the had 2 sips of water and panicked because her lower jaw was involuntarily shaking. This would have lasted about a minute. It was very worrying but it went away.

10. Her stomach invariably a aches in the morning about a brief 2 to 3 minutes and goes away but happens almost everyday. She doesn't have a bowel movement as soon as she wakes up. Only after she eats a heavy lunch or drinks lots of water.

Most grateful for reading through this overly detailed description of problems.

Sincere regards

It is rare for me to think a report is overly detailed. I actually appreciate the effort you have made :-)

This is a good result, very good. It has been almost 3 weeks now. I would actually keep waiting to see how she progresses. Another week and then we can look again. If there is continuing improvement we will keep waiting, or if there is relapse or no further progress we will repeat the remedy. A change of symptoms may require a change of remedy however, so we need to be alert for that too.

Thank you very much Dr. I actually typed lengthy reply giving details of last August where she had vomitng and fever. On ER's prescription we gave her a couple of times zofran ( ondansetron ).

She is doing better still sweats and mouth breathes but still improving. Will update point by point in detail on status of above points in two days it will be a week by then.

Thank you once again.
Sincerely

Dear Baba,

I am following your thread for learning-
but wanted to mention the corn. You may want to
check her shoes, and switch. The corns can happen
bc of some shoes causing a repeated pressure
point on an area.

Regards,

Simone

Thank for going through my post. I will try to make sure it's not because of the shoes. But the corn doesn't bother her I think as it does not cause problem while walking or running. The shoes she's been using for the past 4 months. The corn appeared quite suddenly and is a protrusion. Looks like a big pimple with a tip. It's hard and deep rooted in the skin.

Best regards

Dear Dr.Evocationer,

Kindly find the update of my daughters health.

1. Continues to be good at the same level of mental we'll being. At times throws tantrums but gets over it and is okay. A week ago for a span of at least 10 days( this was after starting your treatment) there were no kind of tantrums or problems with doing what was told was totally absent. It was very noticeable and a very welcome break for me.

2. She does have texture problem with food. We being vegetarians requires that she chew the veggies etc. But she does take long to finish her lunch and dinner. Morning milk cereal and banana were a big challenge but with help manages in 15 minutes which is outstanding. This was a major cause for fighting everyday earlier.

3. The invariable cough being stuck in throat first thing in the morning while breakfast and the brief tummy ache are gone since the past 5 days. Even while dinner no cough or post nasal drip being stuck in the throat. She does still have it but is not that much.

4. She still is getting cough same she coughs atleast once everyday and sometimes more than once. I believe her chest feels a little congested May be a reaction to something or mild post nasal drip ( this happens occasionally the reason though not always). When cough doesn't come out she wheezes or breathing has rustle. But that goes away in a hour or so and she's able to cough mostly. She has not complained of breathing. Only once she wheezed when I was tired and cranky and was over reacting. But she got over it soon. Just letting you know that if she is overly upset or has emotional challenge that can cause loud wheezing in her case.

Contd.

Today her she seemed to have a little foul smell in her throat and breath so I gave her saline spray in the morning when she woke up. She did have cough today which didnt seem productive. By afternoon her body was warm and temperature about 99 degrees. It's a constant 98.2 on the thermometer everyday. Even if outside body feels quite warm. The extreme ties. But when temporal temperature was 100.6 we checked oral. She took afternoon nap I gave her nasal spray. Breathing was noisy in nose and throat while asleep. She woke up and had a bad case like long before of cough sitting on the gag reflex. I checked her lungs at this point they seemed ok. Though at other times even though not whistling some rustling used to be. We gave her water and eating the banana she pushed with food. Now she is her usual playful self.

Looks like I said earlier her behavior took a slight down turn couple days earlier and today morning as well. I feel I should be a more considerate and a better mom when child don't cooperate. It's actually something else going on.

Her new symptom ticking of the jaw is now associated with anxiety. Though the first time it came to her unexpectedly while drinking water.
She is invariably anxious while the cough is stuck in her throat like a lump that doesn't budge. Not incidence of ticking happens along with the cough being stuck in her throat.

5. Still sweats. Today she did sweat 70% of what can be called a lot. But she had a light fever or something. Going on. She had not stopped sweating but I can say these days that it's not soaked up like before. And night sweat is less. When it is more she wakes up of discomfort.

6. The corn is still there it's actually a protrusion on the left big toe. But it doesn't bother her.

7. Palms are nice and baby soft everyday. There is no dry feeling in the mouth.

8. Mouth breathing is present during day time and at night.

9. Eats well. But does not show interest in eating on her own. Takes long time to finish eating. I think she used to eat faster and better about 8!months back.

10. She looks nice and pink in her cheeks and lips like before. Not pale any more.

Very grateful for going through the details. Thank you very much for the progress my daughter has made so far.

Sincerely

It looks like it has been around 1 month since her dose of Silicea. It is appropriate at this point to repeat the dose. Just the one dose and let me know what happens.

Evocationer 9 years ago
Dear Dr. Evocationer,

Thank you for the reply would give her one dose of silicea again.

Just wanted to let you know she has a runny nose and a low grade fever. Her last cold ended around 12th of February. No sore throat or cough or wheezing at present. I think it's sinusitis.

Thanks once again.

Silicea is actually one of our commonly indicated remedies for sinusitis, so I am sure over time these attacks will be eliminated.

Dear Dr. Evocationer,

I had a question. After 10 minutes of giving her the remedy today. I was absent minded and gave her water to drink. Also could you please throw some light on the food restrictions that need to be followed.

My husband today was asking me to give her fever reducer so she feels better in school as it was picture day. I did not give and she did just okay. I was worried that she would be very cranky or have increased temperature but she was fine. It's because of him I used to give her tyllenol (acetominophen)during night time to ease discomfort. But I personally do not use pain relievers / fever reducers my self as I think it's body's natural immune response.

These attacks of sinus we're earlier followed by high fevers. But not this time. But definitely would like to seek advice from you what I should do if her temperature is more than 102.

Sincerely

There are no restrictions on food or drink or what is put into the mouth. This is an old superstition.

It is good not to use painkillers/antipyretics, as fever (in most cases) is part of the body's healing/defence system. Hindering it only allows the pathogens more access to the body, and prevents the body from balancing itself.

Just let me know if anything seems serious enough to warrant intervention.

Thank you. She is doing much better and doesn't have fever.

Her extremeties are hot and core body temperature is low 97.6 compared to a normal of 98.2 daily. She wanted to wet her feet , hands and tummy. Uncovers in bed puts her hands out as she feels they are hot.
Nostrils are stuffed alternately.

Just wanted to note here.

Thank you

How long since her last dose?

Evocationer 9 years ago
I gave her the last dose on Monday the 23rd.

Body tummy and feet feeling hot was noted also in the one month after the first dose. Even the weather is cold she would uncover her feet and blankets saying she is hot. She has occasional wheezing.
But definitely aggravates into whistling if she is very upset and Crying. She has cough and recovering from the runny nose.

She has mild wheezing which increases and goes away sometimes. Having water clears it but she doesn't drink water. I feed her water occasionally. But she has a lot of phlegm in her chest. Her nasal cold is 85% gone.

Her inner body temperature is much better now 97.9. Earlier before this episode of cold used to be a constant of 98.2. We used to check frequently whenever outer body seemed warm so we know.

Another thing that I noted a symptom which went away with the first dose of Silicea. Going to toilet after coughing or something like going to the toilet even if her bladder was empty. She did that today morning. Might be a one off but will watch.

I don't know if I mentioned this. She used to wake up at night ( this was before the first dose) go to toilet and then can't go back to sleep and go to toilet again and nothing would come out. This went away after the first dose.

I can't recount in almost how many ways she got better. It was a big relief. And now again another sinus attack. Looks like she's recovering relatively fast. And no high fever.

Most grateful for you looking into the case and spending your valuable time.

Sincerely

This could also be an aggravation for her, as the last dose was only 4 days ago. This is the time you would expect to see such an aggravation. It is important to allow the remedy to do its work. Keep me updated though if anything doesn't improve on its own.

Dear Dr. Evocationer,

1.It will be 11 days since her last sinus attack. My last update stating she was 85% out of the runny nose, but it continued till today. Its like she was at some point completely dry but it again drips and then by end of the day she's out of the cold. Today there was no cold today but need to observe tomorrow.

2. She has wheezed on and off. But mostly her cough was moving. Till yesterday her lungs were filled with phlegm but I could hear it clearly. some of it was clearing into her throat. It was not the very thick kind like her before attacks a month ago. Im guessing she would have had some brief spells of wheezing quite loud which i my self have heard sometimes after which they cleared and lungs had phlegm. Some of it cleared. She didnt cough since morning but coughed now her lungs arent clear.

3. She sleeps well only one particular night when her nose as well as lungs were congested she had disturbed sleep.

4. She has stopped sweating in her head ! I an checking constantly. Will watch more. Its been 5 days. Her head sweats are gone. When I asked her about if she sweat she said "I am out of the sweating problem."

contd.

5. She is eating well. And also eating half of the dinner by herself. Sometimes cleans herself but other times asks to clean her in the toilet.

6. Seems to play well with kids. A bit shy at first but overcomes it.

7.Tantrums reappeared briefly but they are gone. I cant believe its spring break and I can really tell that its very much better for me. plays or reads books but does not ask for TV or Ipad.

8.Still has some mouth breathing. The mouth gaps open a little bit while asleep. Dental plaque problem is 80% better.

9. Still complains that her feet and hands are hot. Her body temperature is 97.9 compared to what we used to observe earlier 98.1 or 98.2.

Thank you very much for going through. Most gratefully.

Dear Dr Evocationer,

I washed my daughter's hair after about 20 days. It's my experience that if she has any residual cough or cold it gets worse.

The weather was quite warm today. So as she was almost out of the cold I took a chance and her hair and used hair dryer. But by evening I noticed some nasal discharge after a while her cough was stuck in throat. She became very anxious about vomiting. Then due to the anxiety her jaw started ticking one nostril was blocked the left one. Then she coughing phlegm could be heard while coughing. Temperature did rise from 98 to 98.5 stopped there and went back to 98.1. Then she was back to normal in about 20 minutes.

But her chest below her neck has whistling sound sometimes while inhaling as well as exhaling. Mostly while exhaling.

She has missed her nap today and was tired even considering that she has not much sweat on her head.

Also she is coughing about the same even though the weather is much much warmer now. Do you recommend to get her allergies tested? We do have prescription for that. Kindly advise if it would help if we took her to ENT specialist to take a look.

Thank you.
Sincere regard
