The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Menopause - bladder incontinence

Hi All:

this forum has been really useful. request you to help with this one as well.

My aunt is 52 years old, she is going through menopause, she had very bad aches in her back and neck and sometimes her whole body aches (this is not often) but back and neck pain are there daily. for this, she took one dose of Calc carb 1M ie on 25th April night and 26th morning.

Now she is facing problem with urine leak with coughing or sneezing or even if she walks fast. this issue has been there and she used ayurveda till about a month ago and she stopped as she was travelling and she ran out of medication. however, the condition was also improved. Now it is back, and she would like to move to homeopathy (the reason for her using ayurveda was she didnt have access to homeopath meds in the place where she , now she is with me where we have access) She also was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst on a recent scan, currently is not on any meds. Request you to suggest homeo medicine asap

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you describe her personality using some adjectives depicting various shades and aspects of it?

How does she feel travelling in a carriage / vehicle? Does the situation aggravate?

rishimba 9 years ago
Hi: thanks for the response.

She was short-tempered when i was young; however, over the past 9 years since i am married, she has changed a lot, she is quite patient now and enjoys being with kids, she pushes herself for the sake of her grand children and tries to stay positive. She does yoga and breathing exercises. She lately is little stressed with some financial and health issues.

She feels okay travelling by any mode. She is not used to going out much alone. so, that makes her little tense if she is visiting a new place alone. She prefers not to travel alone. Situation does not aggravate.

I don't know if this is an aggravation after taking CALC CARB 1M.

It would be wise to wait for some 2 weeks and then give her full case here.

If CALC CARB works on her, it will also address her bladder issues. We need to wait.

Simple food with moderate salt and sugar, no raw onions or garlic and most importantly, no coffee, no pepermint and no perfumes.

Hi Dr. Rishimba:

Just to update u that it has been 10 days since her last dose of Calc carb 1M. She stil has very bad back pain, feels stiff and really painful in the morning, later gets better. She has been having brown discharge over the last 3 days and now has a lighter period today, the discharge is not thick bleeding, little lighter (2 pads per day kind of). Urine leak while coughing, sneezing, improved and is normal now.

Kindly advise if anything needs to be done or just wait.

Another issue tht i would like to report is she faces difficulty swallowing her food. She had her molars removed due to cavities long time back and some broke after RC was done and was not successful. She cannot swallow really well but does take time to swallow them to the best; however, the food or sometimes water does not go down smoothly and she will induce herself to vomit the food or water when this happens. When showed up to a physician, he said after some tests, that this is due to gas that is pushing up and stopping food from going inside, Kindly suggest remedy. TIA

As per your initial post, patient was given CALC CARB 1M on 25th and 26th April.

Did you consult a homeopath in your locality? Is he not to be found for further consultation?

In general, if someone has taken 1M potency, we need to wait at least for some 2 to 3 weeks before trying out something else.

If you would like me to take her case, she will have to fill up a questionnaire. Maybe after a week, she can take a suggested remedy addressing her present sufferings.

Hello doctor:

Request you to kindly take up her case. Will surely get the questionnaire filled in.

Anemia, heavy periods for many years(right from my puberty) and headache.

5. What do you want to do if you don't want to manage the house as a home-maker?

6. What are the factors that aggravate your headache?

1. You said you sleep well. Despite sleeping well you get up with a splitting headache. Am I right?
No, I have good night sleep and generally try to avoid day time naps, I think that also helps get good night sleep. If someone wakes me up like my grandchildren after I get to sleep at night, it makes difficult to fall asleep again. At tht time, I experience headaches, but not always it is like banging
2. You said the headache is like 'banging'. How does the headache react to hard pressure on the affected area?
Hard pressure seems to aggrevate it.
3. What time does the headache peak and what time does it subside generally?
Headache actually comes when I get emotional, stressed, when I cry, when I go out in hot sun, when my eyes are strained, I get headache and also pain in upper eye lids or around the eyes which makes me to keep my eyes closed and laydown
4. When do you have the back and neck pains? What are the non-medical ways of relieving these pains?
They are severe and stiff first thing in the morning. They get better towards afternoon. They get worse if I keep myself away late in the night
5. What do you want to do if you don't want to manage the house as a home-maker?
I want to start business; however, my husband is not very positive about this. I feel if I venture into something, I will feel refreshed and get out of monatony
6. What are the factors that aggravate your headache?
Most of the cases, I think the stress or getting angry or upset makes it worse and also straining my eyes
7. Did the headaches start just after your menopause?
No, I had headaches right from when I was young.

Please take NATRUM MUR 30C once every four hours some four doses only. This is to be taken when there is headache or backache or both.

Wait and watch its response after 4 doses.

Let me know if this potency created a response.

Ok doctor ... Thanks so much!! I have couple of doubts.

1. Should I wait till I finish 20 days since I have taken calc carb 1M
2. Would this address issues with menopause or eye issues

I will go ahead and get this tomorrow and will do as advised

Daisy1234 9 years ago
Please wait for some days and see if you are getting a response to calc carb.

Yes, natrum mur covers some menopause issues. Its a polychrest so lets hope it would cover most of your problems.
