Tuberculinum questions
After doing much research, I am thinking that Tuberculinum may be my constitutional remedy.A couple of things that I have come across whilst researching were these two quotes:
"Tuberculinum is indicated in renal affections, but caution is necessary, for where skin and intestines do not perform normally even high potencies are dangerous."
"The first dose of Tuberculinum in any difficult case is, however, the most weighty prescription. The remedy should not be given without a most careful cardiac examination. As the surgeon before the anesthetic, so must the physician know the heart before administering this drug, especially to children, and seniles-and to young seniles. He who observes this rule will have fewer clinical reproaches on his conscience. When Tuberculinum is contraindicated, recourse must be had to the nearest antipsoric. "
So when i read this it makes me weary. It seems this remedy requires much caution. (Of course most remedies do, but this seems to require more, maybe I'm reading too much into this though.) Can someone explain, one, if these quotes are accurate with Tuberculinum, and two, what they mean. What does "if skin does not perform normally" mean?
Ive also read to have caution when organs that elimate toxins aren't functioning properly, Tuberculinum may be dangerous. Is that something to mind as well? I have Hepatitis C...
Finally, how would one go about looking at determining the potency of the first dose. It seems a little more vague and with more risk than other remedies I have tried (i.e. lycopodium)
Thanks!

Hi,
You really cannot prescribe for yourself on chronic ailments.
Homeopaths go to other homeopaths as no one is really an
unbiased observer of themselves.
You can ask someone to take your case on here and prescribe
for you, or see a good homeopath in person - or via skype or
phone.

Dear Jackipaper,
Yes, Tub is a very deep acting & violet remedy but it is also one of the best nosodes in our complete M Madica.
My experience with TUB. is very good to overcome the chronicity in a case when rightly indicated.
It is dangerous when given where there is high fever or the general vitality is low.
However, whenever, I have to give such strong medicines like KALI CARB, TUB. SYPHILINUM, etc. I first give a dose or two of some vitality boasting medicines like CARBO VEG, CHINA, Ferrum etc ( whichever is indicated or near indicated) & then start TUBERCULINUM.
As for the potency never below 1M & single dose. No repetition till about a month's time.
I would be looking for the comments by others forum members as well in this regard.
Thank you!!!
