Question for Joe Livera Infant refluxHi! I have a 12 weeks old baby boy who is ebf. He was fine until one month checkup, gaining weight like a chunky baby, no spit ups etc. Since then, he started spitting up, gagging all the time, gets fussy at breast after 3-4 minutes. He eats and spits right back up. He is gaining weight but the curve is dropped a little bit instead of going up. He gets hiccups a lot. I talked to his pediatrician about him having reflux problem. He said may be he has it and just prescribed zantac 2mls a day. I wasn't satisfied with the way he looked over my concerns and all of a sudden just prescribed the medicine. I gave him zantac for 2 days and that made spitting even worst. Before that he would spit up on and off, after the medicine, it was constant. I called again and doctor told me to stop it if that is making it worse, which I did. Then I found the homeopathic remedy, Nat Phos 6X. Yesterday, I started giving him 1 tablet dissolved after a feeding and did not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hour period. I also try to feed him in more upright position or laid back and keep him upright 15 minutes after the feeding. After the 24 hour period has passed, I am not really seeing a difference in spit up and gagging except the spit up has turned into watery curdled milk kind, which is still right after the feeding and sometimes he keeps spitting up the same way until it is time for next feeding. Beside this he is a happy baby, very normal sleep and everything. Should I continue with the dose I am giving? Would you suggest anyother remedy for this or should I wait for this to work? Am I doing the right things? I am very desperate as my oldest never spit up and was a big baby and this one was too until one month check up.

Joe Livera! Can you please reply here soon as I am using your therapy that I have seen in other posts. It seems like he is better for few feedings and then it comes back again for couple of feedings where he is gagging and spitting up again.

Glad to note that you have used my default therapy Nat Phos 6x (NP) but you have not read about the amendment to my therapy where a half tablet of NP given 5 minutes before a feed dissolved in milk corrects this problem, with the balance half given immediately after.
I note that another prescriber has suggested Carbo Veg but my experience with it has been negative and it was after many experiments that I identified Nat Phos 6x as being the ultimate therapy to cure GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux Disease) which is a common problem affecting both adults and babies. The standard therapy prescribed by doctors is a PPI drug which reduces the flow of Hcl acid into the stomach which is very effective for a couple of days but the body soon demands more and this results in a double dose which one patient whom I treated using it for 26 years in the US rendering him to a state of semi paralysis when he contacted me on my Website and was CURED in a few days.
You can follow my instructions and give the NP to baby in halves and report.
You can alert me to your report on my Website if I do not visit the ABC.

I do not visit this ABC Forum daily as I once used to do for many years since it was first established, when I was one of the founder prescribers.
You may like to know that I am 86 years and I drive to office daily. Homeopathy is not my profession and I use and prescribe Homeopathic remedies in a non classical manner which attracted the ire of classical homeopaths who derisively labelled my therapy "Joepathy" (Google) many years ago when they discovered that I was curing their own patients who opted to consult me much faster than they were, thereby causing them some embarrassment.
I practice what I preach and do not take any drugs whatever as I only take a teaspoonful of Arnica 30c in the Wet dose nightly and all my vital statistics are normal.
