Help with newborn acid reflux and constipation

Hi,

My son is 5 weeks 4 days and suffering from both GERD and constipation.

He had a somewhat difficult labour ( I had to push for 1.5 hours) but was very calm at birth. He was barely crying even though his lungs were okay and he seemed to be just a calm baby.

He always had reflux ( would spit up after feeds) but it did not initially bother him. He also had regular bowel movements (5 or so a day until 2-2.5 weeks)

At 2 weeks he started to grunt a lot, when awake and also in his sleep but was generally not too fussy

At 3 weeks is when his symptoms began to show and seemed to be classic reflux or silent reflux symptoms. He would start to cry halfway through a feed, arch his back and it was difficult to get him to finish his milk. His stomach also makes a lot of noise when he feeds and this loud noise seems to coincide with grunting through a feed and not wanting to eat. I did ensure he would get about 90-100 cc every 3 hours, although with difficulty. He is bottle fed but takes mostly my breastmilk through the bottle

He also started to show signs of constipation at 2 weeks. He had a bowel movement once every 2 days and the consistency was clay like. It would require a lot of force to get everything out and he seemed distressed. He was also very very gassy!

I took him for his check up at 4 weeks and since his weight gain was on track, my doctor was not concerned about the reflux. (But I was force feeding him for 2 weeks). She suggested we switch his formula to goodstart for his constipation and feed him less each meal and increase the frequency as he may have a very small and sensitive stomach. I didn't think this was the case since some feeds, he would take 90 cc without any issues (when his tomach is calm)

He was also usually much better from 11 pm to 6 am

We also went to a homeopath that day who put him on

Alumina 30C 2 pills morning
Magnesia Mur 30C 2 pills afternoon
Chamomilla 30C 2 pills afternoon and night

His symptoms did not change much but he was worse in his feeding in that now he takes even less milk each time before becoming frustrated. His daily intake has gone down from 750-800 cc to 650 or so and that is with trying to force almost each feed. He was a bit less gassy but also no change in the constipation

I took him back to the homeopath after 1 week and he changed the morning med (Alumina) to 2 pills of Nux Vomica 30C with the rest of the meds remaining the same.

He took Nux once yesterday and I felt like he was spitting up and throwing up more than usual. He is still very fussy at his feeds, even though now I aim to only feed him 60 cc. He seems more fussy at his feeds than before. Sometimes, the only way to get him to eat is for me to walk and rock him in my arms while simultaneously feeding him. This is taking a huge toll on my physically and mentally

The homeopath is on vacation for 3 weeks and I decided to check here and see if you have any suggestions. I thank you in advance and apologize for the long post.

I should mention all the pills given are in pellet form and I have to crush them in a piece of a paper as to not touch them. Has to be given on clean mouth and nothing to eat 5 min after
